Chapter 51: Rainy weather 1
When they went downstairs, they saw that most of them were already awake.
He could see Yang and Zam talking about getting the things they left in the car.
Both of them were the leaders of Treyton's subordinates. If Treyton was absent, they would be the ones to decide what to do while anticipating Treyton's decision.
They had already been with Treyton for a long time, so they could at least have a gist of what his order would be based on their circumstances.
They're excellent in what they do, so Treyton actually doesn't have to worry about being away for a while because he had excellent subordinates.
"Yes, we need to get all our things in our cars. We don't know when the rain will stop, as it keeps getting stronger.
Only those that awakened there can go out because the rain might already be contaminated.
Warn everyone not to use the tap water anymore and let all the ability users start preparing water," Treyton said as soon as he joined Yang and Zam's conversation.
"Ok, I'll warn everyone about it. I'll lead the other water users to start producing water later," Yang said.
"Just warn everyone and prepare enough drinking water for everyone tonight, then you can start storing water tomorrow."
"I will go with the others to get all our things from the cars," Zam said.
"Ok, be sure to cover yourselves properly. We don't know how much contamination the rain might have brought.
Even if we are all ability users, we don't know the level of our immunity, so you guys need to be careful with the rain too," Treyton said to Zam.
Actually, they don't need to worry too much about the falling rain.
What they need to worry about would be the running water on the ground because it had already touched a lot of zombies outside.
The rain itself wasn't problematic, but the water it accumulated that had run through different places was the problematic thing.
That's also why the tap water being distributed around the water system would be problematic.
"Be sure not to let my snacks get wet," Luciel also said to Zam, who was already preparing to walk out.
"I will take them by myself so that there won't be any problems with them," Zam promised and went to call the other ability users.
Afterwards, he just sat on the sofa to wait for them to get all their things up on the second floor.
All the people staying on the first and second floors were also awakened by the rain or by the people around them who actually didn't even sleep at all.
The ability users went out to get all the things in the cars outside while the people without abilities were sorting out the things they got and putting them on the second floor.
"Brother, why are they so busy?" Ashlee asked while yawning.
There's no division on the second floor except for the office that Ava occupied, so Ashlee also woke up because of the noise around her.
So, only Ava was still sound asleep while everyone already woke up.
"Everyone is busy because of the rain outside," Luciel said while pointing at the window.
The others didn't close the curtains so they could clearly see how heavy the rain was.
"Oh, the rain is very strong, just like many, many days ago. I didn't even go to school because of the rain," Ashlee said while looking at the window.
"Do you like going to school?" Luciel asked.
Ashlee was already 6 years old, so she should be in kindergarten or in first grade.
"Yes, I like going to school because I can meet friends and learn lots of things, but dad said I can't go to school anymore," Ashlee said sadly.
With their current situation, Ashlee really can't go back to school anytime soon.
They could only resume such educational facilities after the situation stabilized.
No one would have time to take care of studying when they can't even guarantee that they would survive the next day.
"Well, you can't meet with your friends right now, but you can still meet a lot of friends later.
Even if you can't go to school for the time being, you can still learn a lot of things."
"Yeah, I'm learning to throw knives like brother!"
"Yes, you are learning something from me. If you want to learn more, you can also ask that brother over there to teach you," Luciel said while pointing at Calvin, who just went up to the second floor while carrying some things.
"Brother Calvin?" Ashlee asked while also looking at Calvin.
"Yes, your brother Calvin is very good at studying. He could surely teach you a lot of things. Right Treyton?" Luciel said while also asking confirmation from Treyton, who was also sitting beside him.
Luciel was also considered to be excellent when he was studying, but it was already many years ago.
He already doesn't remember much of what he studied in the past because of how hectic his life was.
If it was about survival, killing, or fighting, he could still teach Ashlee with confidence, but if it comes to basic knowledge that they had to study in school, he really can't teach those.
So, it was still better for someone with better knowledge to teach Ashlee those things.
"Yes, Calvin is really good in his studies. I'll let him teach you so that he won't get too bored without his high-level books," Treyton also said.
Calvin had been silent for the past few days and was honestly practicing his abilities, but Luciel also saw him getting books from one place they stopped at in the morning.
Then he saw Calvin reading an educational book when they had dinner.
It seemed that he had just been obediently doing what he had to do because there weren't any books around that he could read.
"So do you want to learn from brother Calvin?" Luciel asked.
"Yes, I want to!" Ashlee nodded happily.
