Chapter 46: Meeting Ava
The people from the food hall were responsible for preparing their own meal except for Jasmine, who was also included in their group already.
The others were obviously jealous of their delicious meals, but they really can't say or do anything about it.
They already followed their team, and the grocery was also full of food that they could eat.
So, they also weren't going to get hungry; they were just probably jealous because they could see that their meals were obviously more delicious than what they were eating.
Before they could finish their breakfast, some people stopped at the grocery store again.
"Sir, someone wants to stop by," Jacob reported from outside. Jacob was the one who was assigned to be their lookout this time.
"It's okay for them to stop by, but tell them that we will get the things we wanted first before they could start getting supplies for themselves," Treyton said.
Fortunately, the people who stopped by this time seemed to be reasonable people, unlike the people from last night. Because Jacob reported that the other group agreed to Treyton's condition.
When the other group entered the store, Luciel didn't have any thoughts about them and still continued eating.
However, he suddenly heard someone call Treyton's name, so he couldn't help but look at them.
"Brother Treyton!" A girl shouted excitedly.
"Ava? What are you doing here? You're not with your brother?" Treyton asked.
As soon as Luciel heard the name of the girl, he finally knew who she was.
She was a very spoiled girl from the capital, and her brother was one of his trusted business partners and also a close friend.
It was written in the book that Ava always treated Treyton as one of her big brothers. Ava was extremely spoiled by her family, especially her big brother.
That's why when the apocalypse came, she survived because she met up with Treyton, but she was finally killed by her willfulness and by being used by one of Treyton's ex-lovers.
The person he didn't want to meet at the food hall was one of Treyton's ex-lovers. He really didn't meet Treyton's ex-lover, which was good.
However, he didn't expect that even though they didn't meet one of Treyton's ex-lovers, they still met Ava.
Ava wasn't as annoying as Treyton's ex-lovers, but she was still annoying because of how spoiled she was.
Luciel really doesn't want to meet such characters from the novel. They aren't even helpful but just gave more problems instead.
In the book, because Ava died while he was in Treyton's group, her brother, who also became a powerful figure, always targeted Treyton, which caused Treyton's group to be in danger several times.
"My brother went on a business trip, so I'm planning to just go home first," Ava said with a bit of sadness.
"Then you better go with us; the bodyguards you brought surely wouldn't be enough until we reach north," Nathan said while looking at Ava and the people behind her.
As soon as Nathan finished what he was saying, Luciel looked at him coldly, but Nathan was oblivious to it but instead even asked Treyton's consent.
"She should go with us, right?" Nathan said while looking at Treyton.
"Yes. Ava, you should go with us; the people you brought won't be enough," Treyton also agreed.
"Of course, I will definitely go with big brother Treyton and big brother Nathan," Ava said happily.
And just like that, a troublemaker was added to their group. Luciel can't even say anything because it was written in the book that Treyton, Nathan, and Ava's big brother were all close to each other.
"By the way, what are you guys eating? Can I also have some? These guys don't even know how to cook. That's why I've been hungry for a long time," Ava said with a pout while pointing at the people behind her.
There were 4 people behind her, which should all be her bodyguards.
Knowing that they were just her bodyguards, Luciel could actually appreciate them more. They didn't leave such a spoiled brat behind or do anything bad.
Instead, they were still willing to take her back home, which shows that they still have good character.
Even if they didn't accompany here purely out of goodwill, at least they didn't just abandon her, which was worse because she clearly doesn't know how to do things on her own.
If it were him, he would surely leave such hassle behind. If it were an obedient and intelligent kid like Ashlee, he could still spare some of his time, but towards a troublemaker like Ava, he would have left her behind.
"We still have some. You can eat what you want," Treyton offered.
"Thank you, brother Treyton!" Ava said and immediately prepared to eat.
"Now, this is what we call food. Even though it is still not that good, at least it could be eaten!" Ava said with a bit of dissatisfaction but still ate the food that was given to her by Nina.
"By the way, who is he?" Ava asked while looking at him.
"He is Ciel, my lover. Ciel, she is Ava, the sister of one of our close friends," Treyton introduced.
"Hello, nice to meet you!" Ava said happily.
"Yes, nice to meet you too," Luciel just said, even though he wasn't happy meeting her at all.
After saying hello, Luceil resumed eating and didn't care about Ava anymore. It was still more important to fill his stomach than to get along with a troublemaker.
After all of them finished eating, the others started sorting things they needed from the grocery store.
Nathan kept Ava company and was talking to her while he and Treyton directly went to their car.
When they got back to the car, Luciel saw that they had already arranged everything back to normal.
Their blankets and pillows were gone, and the seats were already back to their normal positions.
So, he just sat back to where he sat yesterday and started reading comics.
