Chapter 43: How to deal with unreasonable people 2
"Be sure to warn the others again not to carelessly disturb Ciel when he was sleeping or wanted to sleep," Treyton said to Nichole before following Luciel back to their car.
Treyton already knew that Luciel was very grumpy when his sleeping time was disturbed or if it wasn't enough.
He already experienced dodging Luciel's punches and kicks when he was woken up in the morning.
His punches and kicks were all lethal, as he could accurately target the vital points even though he wasn't even awake.
So, he already warned the others not to disturb Luciel when he was sleeping. If they couldn't dodge his attack, then it would be bad for them.
Most of the time Luciel was just lazy and didn't do anything, so he could only see the deeper side of Luciel in his subconscious reactions.
His laziness and chill attitude in normal times were masking the dangerous character he also had.
Treyton didn't know what triggered Luciel the day they all lost consciousness, but it was the only time he felt how dangerous Luciel could be.
Even though he felt it only for a brief moment, the murderousness Luciel had was clearly not a joke. That's why he already warned the others not to carelessly provoke Luciel.
Today he saw Luciel's other character again, which he only showed for a moment.
The man who kept provoking them and was hard-headed and arrogant clearly ran away because he was afraid of Luciel.
He knew that Luciel wasn't joking when he said that he would slit the man's throat. The man also clearly felt it; that's why they ran away without saying anything more.
Luciel said that he was just scaring them, but Treyton felt that if Luciel had to, he could really kill all of those people without even blinking.
However, even though Luciel was dangerous and powerful, and he even doesn't know where Luciel experienced to have such skills and murderousness, he doesn't mind it.
He already knew that Luciel wasn't a danger to them, which was enough.
When Luciel woke up, he didn't run away or give up on them but clearly took his time to let most of them survive.
He knew how lazy Luciel could be, so Luciel using his time to tie them up and even guard them for a few days showed that he still cared about them a bit and didn't want them to die.
Even if his reason was to make them work for him, it was still enough to show that he wasn't a danger to them.
Luciel also found that the bracelet he bought had a space in it.
If he wasn't willing to continue associating with him, then he could just continue hiding the space and even ask him for the bracelet he had.
If Luciel had asked for his bracelet, he would certainly just give it to him.
However, Luciel didn't ask for his bracelet; instead, he just told him about it openly.
Their relationship was clearly based on interest. So, Luciel, who clearly showed the space to him, at least wanted to establish a bit of trust between them.
In such a chaotic world, having someone trustworthy beside your pillow would surely be hard to find because, even in peaceful times, it was already hard to find.
When both of them established co-ownership of the space, he clearly felt that they couldn't kill each other.
He could feel that if the other person wasn't there anymore, their space would return to its original state.
With the space, at least they established a basic trust between them. He wouldn't need to worry that the person lying in his bed would suddenly kill him one day.
At least he still had a place to relax, knowing that the person beside him wouldn't kill him.
So, he was very satisfied with his current relationship with Luciel.
Even if he was hiding something, he didn't really have the right to know it.
If Luciel wanted to say it later, then he would happily listen, but if he didn't, he wouldn't mind it that much. Everyone has a secret of their own after all.
It was also clear that Luciel had just gone out because he was already annoyed.
So, he told Nichole again to warn the others not to annoy Luciel, especially if he was sleepy, if they didn't want to suffer in his hands.
Luciel clearly doesn't show his temper as long as he wasn't provoked or annoyed.
Most of the time he was very leisurely, but he still told the others to be careful not to get on his bad side.
Luciel also wanted to tell him that there was no need to be polite when dealing with such people.
Treyton was also aware of it; he just didn't use force because of the repeated teachings of his grandfather.
As Luciel said, he actually doesn't have much patience in dealing with such people, but it seemed that the repeated nagging of his grandfather deeply affected him.
He had also always been able to communicate with those business partners. Even if they had a lot of disagreement, he wouldn't resort to using force on the other parties.
Now that the world has suddenly become chaotic, force would certainly be one of the main sources of maintaining power. Which was why he was also starting to gather capable individuals while he was going north.
He certainly can't go back north empty-handed, or else he would be forced to just follow his grandfather or whoever would be in charge of the north as soon as they arrive there.
So, he needed to have more capable people around that would be willing to follow him north.
Luciel just reminded him clearly that times had already changed, so they also needed to change their methods of dealing with other people.
They could now use force on those people who clearly don't have a heart to negotiate or even listen. They could show their power if they have to, to make others listen.
