Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)

Chapter 38: Next Stop 2

"But I don't have any power like them; can I also be powerful?"

"I already told you, you just need to train first, then you will surely become powerful when you grow up," Luciel said while ruffling Ashlee's hair.

The others were dealing with the zombies that were coming, but they were also listening to Luciel and Ashlee's conversation.

Yang and Samuel, who had water abilities, heard what Luciel said and tried to rotate the water they had condensed very thinly as fast as they could, and then they shot it towards the zombie, and they were surprised that it was indeed effective.

However, they still didn't successfully sever the neck of the zombie in front of them. They only successfully cut them half-way, but it was still way better than their non-lethal power, which couldn't be practically used in fighting zombies but could only be used to provide drinking water.

"It's effective!" Yang and Samuel both said happily.

"Dad, became more powerful!" Ashlee also said joyfully.

"See? I told you they just need to have a wider imagination. As for you, you just need to observe how they fight," Luciel said.

"I know, when I grow up, I will be more powerful than them! Then I will take care of you, brother!" Ashlee declared ambitiously.

"Oh, that's good; I will wait for Ashlee to support me later on," Luciel said with a smile.

They started cleaning up the first floor to see the reservation lists; unfortunately, the computer was already destroyed and couldn't be saved anymore, so they had to start moving up from one floor to another. While trying to check all the rooms in it.

According to what he heard; the hotel had eight floors in total with at least 20 rooms on each floor. So, they didn't really clean it all up but rushed to knock on each door to see if someone would respond while cleaning only the zombies that were in the hallway.

Even though they didn't clean up all the zombies, it still took a lot of time for them to move up from one floor to another. Fortunately, when they arrived at the fourth floor, where there was another food hall in it, they finally found people in it.

As soon as they entered the fourth floor, they saw a lot of zombies gathering around it. They cleaned all the zombies in it and went to the food hall. They were also planning to rest a bit because Treyton and the others already consumed a lot of their power while cleaning up four floors in total.

They needed to rest a bit, so they decided to use the food hall on the fourth floor, as it was one of the widest areas on the floor they were on.

As soon as they arrived at the door of the food hall, they knew that someone might have been using it because it was locked and obviously barricaded inside. So, Treyton signaled Yang to ask to do the talking.

"Hello, is anybody inside?" Yang asked loudly.

"W-whose there?" A voice that belongs to a young man in his teens asked nervously from the food hall.

"We are looking for someone, and we also planned to rest a bit. Can you open the door for us? We will leave immediately after resting for a bit."

"B-but there are a lot of zombies outside."

"Please don't worry; we already dealt with all the zombies in the hallway. So, no zombies would be able to come in," Yang assured the people inside.

"O-ok, please come in," the young man said. Then they heard the movement of boxes and other things that they used to block the door.

As soon as they opened the door, they were immediately greeted with the cautious stares from the people inside the food hall.

All of them stared at them warily, but after seeing Ashlee, their wariness dropped a bit. It seemed that they judged that we weren't people with bad intentions because we were still capable of protecting the child.

If they asked Luciel, he would certainly say that their ideas were naïve. Children were often used by adults to do bad things, and sometimes they were even more capable than adults.

He had already seen a lot of children that were capable of betraying and killing a lot of people just because of food and other things. So even though they appeared as kids, they were still dangerous.

So, he could only say that trusting a group because they have a child with them was certainly naïve. However, as it was still just the beginning of the apocalypse, it was still understandable.

"H-hello, my name is Koen; you told us a while ago that you are looking for someone. May we know who you are looking for?" Koen asked cautiously.

"We are looking for a lady named Jasmin Miles; she is a researcher, and we were informed that she would be staying here together with her colleagues," Yang explained.

As soon as Yang mentioned Jasmine's name, all the others looked in one direction.

At the corner of the food hall, it could be seen that a young woman was busily writing down something in the notebook that she was holding."

When Myla saw the young woman and said, "Sister!"

Myla immediately ran towards Jasmine and said, "Sister, how have you been?"

"M-Myla? How are you here?!" Jasmine said, then hugged Myla immediately.

Seeing that they really knew someone in their group, the people in the food hall finally relaxed. Even though they haven't put down all their guards against them. They weren't staring at them as intensely as before.

Luciel looked around the food hall and counted 21 people around. He could see that they were likely the same as the friends of Conner. They were also trapped in the food hall and weren't able to go out. However, it seemed that they were still luckier, as they still had food around. He could see from their complexion that they hadn't experienced extreme hunger yet.
