Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)

Chapter 35: First stop

Fortunately, the meteor shower event happened near midnight. A lot of people were already in their homes; that's why they could still pass through the road by avoiding all the cars that were just stuck on the road.

Luciel could see some zombies trapped inside the cars they passed through. They were those who became zombies while they were still in the car.

He could also see a lot of open cars, which were likely opened by those who woke up and ran. There were also a lot of zombies wandering around, which should be from the opened cars and from the living communities nearby.

Fortunately, the cars of Treyton were durable enough to just go through the zombies that were in front of them.

They were driving very fast so as not to be surrounded by zombies and, of course, to reach their destination faster.

Luciel could tell that Wes and the others were very good at driving, as they were able to avoid the cars and other obstacles on the road and travel efficiently.

The cars on the road weren't even in their proper lanes anymore because the drivers had suddenly slept; he could see that the cars only stopped moving after hitting something.

Fortunately, they were all very good at driving; that's why they could perfectly drive properly while avoiding a lot of things. Those who traveled away first also cleaned up the road a little; that's why they could drive fast and nearly unhindered.

He could also see that in the buildings that they passed by, some people were peeking from their windows, but they weren't going out. They were probably afraid of going out and were waiting for rescue. That's why they were peaking to check the people passing by, hoping that it could be the army or anyone that could rescue them.

"When do you think the Army will come?" Luciel asked because the people he had seen were likely waiting for the police or the army to come to their rescue.

He knew that the army would surely send rescue teams to the survivors, especially to those with talents or to those with wealth.

"It would depend on how fast they could stabilize the internal situation of the army.

If they responded properly to the crisis, they might soon organize a rescue operation. But if most of the higher-ups in the army became zombies, or if there are a lot of soldiers that turned into zombies, it would surely take time to organize a rescue operation.

Communication with others is also paralyzed, so they would surely have a harder time sorting everything," Treyton answered.

"I see."

No wonder in the novel Treyton hadn't encountered other armies while going out of the capital. It seemed that there were a lot of problems encountered by the army near the capital, as they still haven't appeared yet.

"By the way, where are we going to stop by?" Luciel asked as they were nearing the city center.

He could see that there were more and more zombies on the road they were taking, which meant they were getting nearer and nearer to the center.

"We are going to stop by the gym first. According to the place that Conner said we are already near," Treyton said.

"I see."

After hearing what he wanted, he resumed looking outside. He could see a lot of zombies roaming outside with a lot of blood stains on the roadsides. However, almost all the buildings were still intact, which was very different from the one he experienced, where most of the buildings got destroyed because of the rampaging monsters from the very beginning.

Well, even though they have differences, it was still an unpleasant sight because they were all catastrophic events that were just making his life harder.

After just driving for 3 minutes, they arrived in front of the gym Conner was talking about.

"Sir, we are here," Zam said.

"Wes, park the car on that side. Let's go and take down the surrounding zombies," Treyton said while pointing at the parking lot in front of the gym that Conner had mentioned.

"Ciel, Yang, just stay in the car and wait for us. Wes, stay here with them," Treyton instructed.

"Ok," Luciel said without care. He wasn't even planning to go down to begin with, knowing that they would just be fighting zombies outside.

"Ok," Yang also agreed, probably knowing that he couldn't help much even if he went down with them.

Afterwards, the other two cars with them also stopped beside them. Seeing the two cars besides them, Treyton and Zam went down while Wes stayed as their bodyguard.

Luciel also saw that Nathan, Calvin, Nina, and some of Treyton's bodyguards didn't go down.

Treyton and the others also started cleaning up the zombies around them before going inside the sports gym.

Treyton doesn't actually need to go himself, but it seemed that he was prioritizing utilizing his abilities in combat, so he went down with everyone to practice his abilities with killing the zombies around them.

In the novel Conner wasn't with Treyton; he was one of the people who didn't survive because some of their companions transformed into zombies. So, he didn't know what they would encounter in the sports gym, but he really doesn't care much.

It was still the beginning of the apocalypse, so there wouldn't probably be a problem that they couldn't solve. He also doesn't care if the novel's content changes because his existence already changed the beginning of the novel. As long as he could still live as leisurely as he wanted, he doesn't really care much if the content of the novel changes.

After waiting for nearly 10 minutes, Layton and the others were rushing out of the building together with some people he didn't recognize.

They were all rushing to reach where they were. He didn't understand why they were all running out very fast, but when he saw the dense zombies catching up with them, he could finally understand why.

"What the f*ck!" Luciel can't help but curse.
