Chapter 314: Treyton in action 2
With their help, at least many people could still manage to run away and go to other areas for shelter.
The other members of the team also had no problem with his idea. It could even be said that they also wanted to help those people, so they immediately went to the temporary housing zone after clearing most of the large birds that were attacking the hospital.
When they arrived at the temporary housing zone, the situation was really terrible. A lot of people were running for their lives, and many birds were swooping down to attack those who were trying to save themselves.
It hadn't been long since the birds started attacking, but they had already seen a lot of casualties in the temporary housing zone.
They had already passed by some dead people on their way there, but the situation in the temporary housing zone was clearly more terrible compared to other places.
So, they didn't waste any more time watching the situation and immediately took action, starting to kill the birds that were attacking the people.
After they had killed a lot of birds in the temporary housing zone, Luciel also arrived.
With Luciel's addition, they cleared the temporary housing zone faster than before.
He didn't know where Luciel had learned how to fight, but he was really very efficient in killing the birds using both his ability and his sword.
Luciel didn't have any wasted movements at all while fighting. He would use the sword to deal a killing blow to the birds while also controlling the vines in his hand to entangle other birds that he would kill next. He was also jumping around the birds midair.
Even though he hadn't seen Luciel in action much using his ability, he had often seen him using it only to grow strawberries and other fruits he could eat.
Seeing him use his ability and control different vines for different purposes while also using a sword as a weapon, it was clear that his control over his ability was really very high.
Treyton had also seen Nichole and Jane try to control vines to use in battle, but it was obvious that it was very hard for them to make multiple vines move the way they wanted, especially if they were trying to make them perform different actions at the same time.
So, Treyton was sure that in terms of controlling abilities, no one was better than Luciel in their team, and maybe even in the entire base.
Both of his own abilities were indeed more lethal than Luciel's plant ability when it came to dealing damage to the birds, but if he could control his abilities as well as Luciel could, then he surely could have killed even more birds.
Luciel's vines also worked using the energy he had stored in them beforehand, so Luciel wasn't running low on energy at all.
Even though Treyton was already used to absorbing energy while doing other things, and he was already doing that while fighting, the consumption of his ability was still very high.
So, he had to continuously absorb a lot of energy and carefully control his power output. If he didn't, he would have to stop using his ability for a while to replenish his energy, just like the other members of the team.
The other team members often had to stop using their abilities to absorb energy from zombie crystals, since they were using their powers so much to deal with the large number of birds, something their own energy reserves couldn't support.
So, Luciel, who didn't have a problem with energy reserve because he was using the energy he had already stored, really could fight much longer than them without being too worried about his energy consumption.
From the way Luciel had answered his questions when he first arrived, it was obvious he wasn't very willing to leave the villa at all.
However, with the number of birds attacking the base, Luciel was probably forced to go out and kill them even if he wasn't very willing to do it.
But even though he wasn't willing, he still went around the base and checked on the places Treyton was concerned about, like the research center and the military area.
And even though it was obvious that he didn't want to fight at all, the way he fought didn't show any laziness.
Luciel obviously could have just stayed in the villa, and even if he came out, he could've only dealt with the birds that attacked the villa.
He didn't need to go around the base at all to kill more birds.
But it seemed that Luciel really understood his abilities well and also knew that he and the others wouldn't stop fighting, since they wanted to help the other people in the base.
It became even more obvious that Luciel probably just didn't want them to die. That's why he went out roaming around the base, even using a lot of his stored energy to protect the areas that he and the others were worried about when the second flock of birds came.
Before the second flock of birds arrived, Treyton and the others who were fighting on the wall were glad to see that the number of birds was already getting smaller.
With the birds dwindling, Treyton thought that they could finally stop fighting and go back to their villa.
Most of the soldiers and other people who had been fighting earlier were obviously already exhausted, so Treyton was happy to see the number of birds decrease.
However, a second flock of birds suddenly came, and their numbers were even double the first flock.
Treyton knew that with everyone already exhausted from continuous fighting, a lot more people would die.
So, Treyton immediately decided to make metal covers using the metal in their surroundings, building them so the soldiers could stay inside and still continue fighting.
With the addition of the metal covers, they could keep fighting without being too worried about their safety. The ones who were already injured wouldn't become prey to the birds, and they could either fight or rest with the protective metal around them.
