Chapter 313: Treyton in action
Luciel didn't bother asking them why they were still around or why they hadn't left yet. He just went to the rooftop and started growing the vines, controlling them to surround the villa.
The villa wasn't that large, so Luciel managed to finish it easily.
After he finished setting up the vine barrier for Ava's family, he continued fighting the birds around the base.
They continued fighting the birds throughout the day until the fifth batch of flocks came.
When the fifth batch arrived, it seemed the birds had received a signal. All the birds stopped attacking the base and joined the fifth flock, flying away together.
Luciel hadn't had any rest except for drinking water and had continued fighting the entire time.
So, as soon as he saw that the birds had already left, Luciel immediately went back to the villa.
He didn't care about the others anymore and just wanted to rest. He was indeed used to fighting for such a long time in his past life, but continuous fighting was still very tiring.
Both of his arms were terribly aching from the continuous use of the sword and the vines he had been controlling.
The bodies of those large birds were harder than usual, especially their feathers, so even though he used the vines to weaken them, he always had to use more force when slashing to finish them off in just one or two swings of his sword.
He had already felt his arms aching during the fight, but he ignored it because he still needed to kill a lot of birds.
When fighting continuously, Luciel was already used to ignoring the pain he felt while still fighting.
He had to get used to ignoring the pain he felt during battle so that he could focus his attention on fighting and doing more important things.
In the past, he had been injured a lot, but even with such wounds, he still needed to keep fighting.
If he didn't learn how to ignore the pain during battle, then his attack power would just plummet further, which wasn't good when fighting a lot of monsters.
He was already used to being in such a state, so sore muscles during battle were something he would thoroughly ignore.
Of course, after the battle, Luciel's brain immediately registered the terrible protest from both of his arms.
The birds were already gone, so Luciel didn't bother staying any longer. He just wanted to rest immediately.
When he arrived at the villa, he saw that the others were busy treating the injured together with Camille.
Luciel didn't bother them and just went to his and Treyton's room, heading straight to the bathroom to take a shower.
He had been thoroughly covered in bird blood, so even though he was already tired, he still went to wash up.
He washed quickly, just enough to remove the stench of blood on him.
Afterwards, he didn't bother drying his hair at all and just lay on the bed to sleep.

Treyton hadn't expected that there would suddenly be a large number of birds attacking the base.
But even though the attack was unexpected, he still prioritized saving the people he knew.
So, he and the others first went to get his aunt so she could stay at their villa, as it was safer with Wes and the others staying there.
Of course, it was also safer because he knew that Luciel was in the villa.
Afterwards, he immediately decided to go to the hospital where Nathan's family was working.
He knew that Nathan would be very worried about the safety of his parents and sister, who were at the hospital.
Before going to the hospital, he also sent Zam to inform Mason's family to move to the military area.
Even though Mason wasn't in the north base, his father was still powerful enough and still had a lot of bodyguards with him.
So, Treyton knew that Mason's father and his sister, Ava, could safely go to the military area with all those bodyguards they had.
The military area had a lot of soldiers, so in such chaos, it would surely become one of the evacuation areas in the base, as many soldiers were still there to guard it.
The rest of his family were soldiers, so they would surely have a lot of people with them. That's why he only went to get his aunt immediately and then headed to the hospital, because the others could still protect themselves.
He also didn't have to worry about his uncle Lawrence and Calvin right away, because the research center was one of the key areas of the base and had a lot of soldiers protecting it to guard the researchers. It was also very near the military area, so they wouldn't have any immediate problems.
As for the hospital, it had less protection, so Treyton decided to go there first to make sure no accidents happened to Nathan's family.
And sure enough, when they arrived at the hospital, it was already under attack by some birds. Even though it had security, they weren't strong enough to deal with all the birds attacking the hospital.
They immediately helped the others and started clearing out the birds that were attacking the hospital.
Treyton also set up some metal covers in key areas of the hospital so the people there would be safer.
After doing that, he left half of the team members in the hospital so they could continue protecting it, as the hospital was still very important to the base.
He had already seen that a lot of birds were attacking the temporary housing zone of the base, so he decided to go there and help.
Their group could be considered small, so they surely couldn't protect the entire temporary housing zone on their own.
But with their attack power, they could definitely kill a lot of the birds that were hunting and killing people in the temporary housing zone.
