Transformer in MCU

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Vibranium

Downey spent a significant amount of time exploring the steel city, and he was deeply impressed by its grandeur.

This was not just a large city but a massive fortress, where many mutants lived, trained, and prepared for battle under Magneto's command.

The entire city functioned as a military machine, constantly recruiting and training young mutants from around the world, transforming them into warriors for the Brotherhood.

Magneto, recognized as one of the most powerful terrorist leaders globally, cultivated his army openly, without fear of international scrutiny.

This boldness alarmed world governments, who watched as Magneto brazenly assembled a force capable of shaking global power structures.

Despite this, Magneto was bound to his mutant followers on the island, a vulnerability that the world's major powers sought to exploit in maintaining a fragile balance.

But beyond the looming threat of Magneto's military strength, what piqued Downey's interest the most was the island's rich reserves of precious metals.

Downey's own Transformers, his war machines, had always been limited by the materials he could find.

The standard materials available from everyday vehicles were too weak for sustained combat, often breaking down with even minor collisions.

He had been relying on the continuous energy from the AllSpark to enhance his machines, but there were limits to how much they could be strengthened.

It was akin to putting a legendary gem into a basic weapon. No matter how much power the gem contained, the weapon itself would only hold so much before breaking.

Downey wandered the streets of the mutant city in his pickup truck, observing mutants displaying their various abilities.

It was an eye-opening experience, and he began to see the city as an independent nation—an entire country of mutants.

However, he knew this place wasn't his home. He still needed to return to New York, the epicenter of countless world-changing events, and the city where superheroes roamed freely.

Suddenly, the Red Devil appeared beside Downey with a distinctive 'bamf' sound.

Regretfully, the Red Devil explained that Magneto couldn't meet him just yet, as Magneto was preoccupied with an urgent matter that could greatly affect the future of mutants.

"Erik really wants to meet you, but right now, there's something he must do. If successful, it could change the fate of mutants forever," the Red Devil conveyed Magneto's message.

Downey shrugged, not overly concerned.

The Red Devil then offered to teleport Downey back to New York if he didn't want to stay on the island.

"Magneto is giving you a lot of freedom. You're the first level-four mutant in years… even if you're technically still at level three," the Red Devil teased.

Downey decided to switch the topic, grinning mischievously. "Alright, let's talk business. Got any Adamantium or Vibranium? Maybe something taller than two meters? I could use that to upgrade my bots."

The Red Devil's face turned purple with frustration. "Two meters tall? Ten times that amount? You want to use Adamantium and Vibranium to transform your war machines? That much doesn't even exist in the world!"

"That's because you haven't looked hard enough!" Downey countered with a smirk. "And just so we're clear, I only want second-generation Adamantium or better."

The Red Devil's face darkened further, clearly annoyed by Downey's audacious demands.

Even for the Brotherhood, with all their resources, what Downey was asking for was far beyond reasonable.

There was no way the Red Devil could agree to something like that without consulting Magneto.

"Is the Brotherhood struggling with finances or something?" Downey asked playfully, still pushing for more.

"Come on, if you can get me the metals, I'll fight for you guys. I'll bleed for the Brotherhood."

But the Red Devil wasn't buying any of it. He knew Downey would likely take the precious metals and run. He wasn't about to be duped.

"And even if you did get the metals, are you sure you could manipulate them? Can you actually alter the molecular structure of Adamantium or Vibranium?"

The Red Devil's tone was taunting, knowing full well Downey wasn't ready for such a feat.

That remark hit Downey hard. He wasn't yet strong enough to work with such advanced materials.

The original Adamantium was famously indestructible, while Vibranium's unique energy absorption properties made it equally invaluable.

Downey knew he wasn't yet capable of reshaping those metals with his current powers.

Even Magneto himself, with all his mastery over metal, would find working with true Adamantium challenging.

In the end, Downey settled for a small piece of Vibranium from the Brotherhood. It wasn't much—just a slab a bit larger than his hand—but it was enough to potentially cover part of his arm or shoulder once reconfigured.

The problem was, Downey couldn't modify it yet. He infused it with energy from the AllSpark, but the Vibranium simply absorbed the energy without reacting.

When he attempted to infuse more energy, the Vibranium expelled it back violently, nearly knocking Downey off his feet.

"What am I supposed to do with this, huh? Use it as a brick and throw it at someone?" Downey muttered in frustration.

The Red Devil chuckled darkly, his laughter unsettling. He truly lived up to his name—a demon by nature.

"I'll take you back to New York now," the Red Devil said. "Magneto said you're free to return whenever you like."

With that, the Red Devil teleported Downey, along with Optimus Prime, back to the outskirts of New York.

Before leaving, the Red Devil delivered a warning. "Eric wanted me to remind you—don't listen to Charles Xavier. His ideas are far too idealistic, too hypocritical. If you go to him, you'll become our enemy."

Downey raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What are you rushing off to do now?"

"I heard there's a new mutant with wings," the Red Devil replied.

"Are you going to bring them back to the Brotherhood?"

"No, I'm going to see if it's an angel. If it is, I'll kill them," the Red Devil said coldly. "The feud between demons and angels has lasted thousands of years."

"Won't Erik be pissed if you kill them?"

The Red Devil offered no further explanation, disappearing with his usual dark humor.

Downey frowned, still wary of the Red Devil. That ancient creature was not to be trusted lightly. His words always needed to be dissected for hidden traps.

At the very least, though, the Vibranium in Downey's hand was real. He hadn't left empty-handed.
