Chapter 4: Chapter
Meanwhile, outside...
"I told you, Princess. He'd be fine," Evan said, his eyes still fixed on Shinso, giving him a silent evaluation. Though he was shocked, his expression remained indifferent.
"...I know. I'm not really worried about that..." Yuri sighed, brushing her hand off. "But that attack he used…" Her words cut short, her gaze narrowed, thinking. "It felt familiar, like I've seen it before..."
"Familiar...?" Evan tilted his head, confused.
"Ah! That's right!" she exclaimed, pounding her palm with a sudden grin. "It was the Emperor's Scorching Fist of Death!"
"...What? Emperor's Scorching Fist of Death!?" Evan's eyes went wide. "But Princess... isn't that—"
"Yeah," she cut in, her tone serious now. "It's that attack Urek uses."
Evan blinked, stunned. "Then how the hell does he know it...? Considering they are both Irregulars, perhaps they come from the same place? But he doesn't seem to know Urek..." He felt something was amiss but couldn't put his finger on it. And he had a feeling that it could bring change into the Tower.
"Well, we can just ask him now that the exam's over," she thought. But before her feet even left the ground, Shinso disappeared from their sight.
"???"
"What do you think you're doing, Headon!?" Yuri snapped. There was only one person who had the authority to teleport individuals on this floor. Subconsciously, her gaze drifted to the human-sized rabbit watching them from a distance with a sly grin.
"I'm simply doing my job," he said in a provocative tone. "He passed the exam. I merely sent him to the next floor."
"..."
"Damn..." She felt a huge blue vein pop on her forehead. Yuri wanted to say more, but Headon doesn't seem
Interested in entertaining her any longer.
"What are you going to do now? He's already on the second floor..."
"..."
Although Yuri was frustrated, she couldn't do anything against him other than protest. What he said was technically right. But could he at least wait until their curiosity was satisfied? But this damn didn't seem to care and acted as if he was devoted to his job.
"Sigh... how annoying." Yuri pinched the bridge of her nose. Not having energy to harbor resentment, she reluctantly leaves. Not that she couldn't meet Shinso again, but still, Yuri felt irritated, as if someone was trying to move her intentionally like a chess piece.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Every step sank slightly into the floor, leaving behind small spiderweb-shaped cracks. Yuri stomped the ground while grumbling about Headon. It was already settled, but she was still complaining.
"Damn rabbit... He could've waited until we were done!? I swear one day, I'm going to yank off those ears!!"
Shinso found himself transported again. His eyes swept across the area, calmly analyzing his surroundings. It was an open grassy field under sunny skies—like the beginning of spring. The atmosphere felt refreshing, yet carried an underlying sense of danger.
"I didn't notice it before, but now there are so many people. I feel like my senses have sharpened. I can tell what's happening around me without even looking… as if I have Observation Haki."
Though the place appeared peaceful, the hidden tension was unmistakable. There's a strong scent of blood; clearly a death match is happening everywhere.
Still, Shinso kept his indifferent expression. For him, this was expected—exactly how the story should unfold. Instead of worrying about others who aren't even a threat to him, he simply summoned his profile interface.
"Status..."

"It's only a slight increase," he murmured, "but I can feel my control over Shinsu becoming more stable."
As he made internal adjustments, a loud voice suddenly echoed across the field through an amplifier.
{Alright, everyone—STOP!
Part I of the exam has ended.
All Regulars, cease all combat immediately.
Anyone who continues killing will be disqualified.
Congratulations to the 200 who passed the first round!
Clap! Clap! Clap!
Now, onto the second test.
It's simple: out of the 200 Regulars, form a team of three.
You have five minutes.
When the timer ends, make physical contact with your
sen teammates.
Good luck! }
"Oh?" Shinso was slightly taken aback. He hadn't expected to be teleported mid-examination—let alone pass just one second before it ends.
"Talk about luck... But still, finding three reliable teammates? " He pondered. Choosing shouldn't be done at random. Not this time. In the upcoming test, even if one member of your team fails to enter, everyone fails.
Sure, Shinso could evaluate them. But he didn't yet understand the full extent of his own power. Even using just 0.1% of Urek's strength, he was still far ahead of the others.
"Well, let's just use the average power of regulars here... and add 20%," he muttered.
While Shinso was calculating in his head, two people were slowly walking toward him. Not that he hadn't noticed them; they simply didn't carry any hostile intent. That's why he didn't care.
They were strong too; both can be potential teammates. If they all approach him willingly, isn't that considered free food? No way he'd refuse that.
"Hey, you—Silver Head! "
A sharp voice called him out. Judging by the commanding tone, Shinso assumed it was a girl. He didn't respond, merely glanced at them from the corner of his eye.
'They are...' Shinso was once again surprised. Someone had appeared earlier than expected. But he quickly regained his composure. 'Was this... the butterfly effect? Heh.' Instead of feeling threatened, he was amused. 'Things are getting interesting.'
"Why aren't you talking, huh? " she asked again, clearly irritated.
"You're so fierce, baby."
"B-Baby!? " Her face turned red in embarrassment. It was her first time being called baby. It sounds cute, but for some reason she felt sexually harassed, which made her upset.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME!? I'LL ROAST YOU LIKE A PIG!!! "
'Heh, still hot-headed as ever,' Shinso chuckled inwardly, not taking her threat seriously. Still, Yeon Yihwa, one of the most popular female characters, is known for her temper. Anyway, she had long black hair that reached her waist. Her striking red eyes were highlighted by her fair skin. She wore a dark blue off-shoulder sweater that extended to mid-thigh, showing off her voluptuous figure. But what stood out most was the headband with a flower crest—a symbol of the Yeon family, one of the Ten Great Families.
Beside her stood another girl—quiet, poised, and dangerous. She wore a sleek, skintight suit that accentuated every curve of her body. Her face was hidden behind a round, blue-green mask embedded with gem-like inserts. In one hand, she held a golden baton.
'Hwa Ryun...'
At first glance, she didn't look particularly impressive. No one would've suspected her to be from terrorist group F.U.G. But to Shinso, her act was laughable. He sneered internally. 'You can fool others—but not me.'
"Calm down, Miss Yeon..." the masked girl said gently.
With her reasoning... Gradually, Yihwa calmed down. The flames that had begun to flicker around her vanished. It wouldn't have been lethal, but taking her hit would've hurt—a lot. Shinso wasn't afraid and instead provoked her intentionally just to test his defense.
Still glaring at Shinso, she crossed her arms and said, "Hey, you—Silver Head! I'll give you the honor of joining my team! If you bow down and apologize. How about it? " she said, putting hands on her hips, and wore a smug look.
"..."
Shinso was speechless. 'How can someone this thick-skinned exist? Does she really think the Yeon family can cover the sky with their palm? 'He shook his head and tossed away the thought of teaming up with them.
One's an F.U.G. member, the other's an idiot. The cons far outweighed the pros. Better to look for different teammates.
"Umm... Miss Yeon, that's not the right way to talk to others..." Hwa Ryun added politely.
"Huh? Is that so? " Yihwa blinked, puzzled. "Isn't joining the team of a Yeon—one of the Ten Great Families—already honorable? He's lucky I didn't roast him like the last guy! "
"..."
Shinso and Hwa Ryun both felt their scalps tingle. Talking to an idiot really did cost brain cells.
Just as Shinso was about to walk away, Hwa Ryun took matters into her own hands.
"Wait!" Ryun shouted.
"What do you want, bitch? I'm not interested in joining you." He cut her off before she could speak—and even called her a bitch.
"..."
Instead of getting angry, Hwa Ryun simply activated her pocket and floated it over to him.
"I'll transfer 12 billion points to you. In exchange for joining our team—"
"I agree."
Before she could finish, Shinso flash-stepped to her side and grabbed her soft hand, rubbing it like a pervert.
"Hehehe... Beautiful sister, you're quite generous ~ letting me join your team like this."
"..."
Behind the mask, Hwa Ryun's lips twitched. Just a moment ago, he'd called her a bitch—and now he was calling her sister. She was speechless. Still, a deal was a deal. She knew what he needed the most—and gave it to him.
"12 billion...? " Yihwa was stunned. "You spent 12 billion points on this pervert?! "
As a member of the Ten Great Families, Yihwa was used to wealth—but 12 billion points? That could buy a floating castle! And Ryun just handed it over for this guy? She was so shocked she forgot to question where Ryun even got that kind of money.
Shinso gave her a sideways glance and responded for Hwa Ryun. "Why does it matter to you, baby? It's not your money or anything."
"Y-YOU!!!"
Veins bulged on Yihwa's forehead. But Shinso wasn't done. "Why are you so upset, baby? Just go find other teammates. Sister Ryun and I will do..."
The audacity!
Yihwa lost all reason. She had recruited Ryun to join her earlier. She was the acting team captain, and this was her own team. And now this bastard had the nerve to kick her out?
"FUCKING BASTARD!!! I'LL KILL YOU NOW!!! "
