Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!

Chapter 152: Wife-Pampering Maniac

"You investigated him?" Grayson Quinn was a bit surprised.

Having been caught by this woman twice, he dared not underestimate her again. Once might be luck, but twice... His keen intuition told him that this woman was definitely not someone to be trifled with, and she might even share the same dark humor as himself.

And Mason Nightshade actually married a wife like that.

Does he even know?

Judging by the way he dotes on her, he probably does.

"What do you think I could find out?" Aurelia Shaw responded with a question instead of an answer. Under the guise of an investigation, she actually had a friend look into Mason Nightshade's life and friends in the military to understand him better. But due to strict military discipline, too much information couldn't be revealed. All she knew was that there was someone close to him named Grayson Quinn, a subordinate known for his quirky sense of humor, with a very colorful history, and his family background seemed to be a mystery.

That Mason Nightshade would keep such a person by his side was quite surprising to her, and this guy... was indeed a bit annoying.

Grayson Quinn stopped saying anything, because with the military's confidentiality mechanism, even a fly would find it hard to get in. Otherwise, his old man wouldn't have taken so long to find him.

Mason Nightshade saw Aurelia Shaw and Grayson Quinn coming down from upstairs one after another, frowned, and glanced at Grayson Quinn with a warning in his eyes, "Why did the two of you come down together?"

Grayson Quinn raised both hands in a gesture of surrender, innocently said, "I just happened to run into her when I was coming back from the bathroom. I didn't do anything to your wife."

Aurelia Shaw slightly arched an eyebrow and glanced at Grayson Quinn's poker face with disdain, rolling her eyes internally, thinking: This guy is indeed not someone to get involved with, like a wolf holding grudges. Is it that a person's subordinates have to mirror their temperament?

Aurelia Shaw's gaze instinctively turned towards Mason Nightshade. Mason, not expecting her to suddenly look at him, felt a thrill in his heart, and the smile at the corner of his lips barely had time to form before he saw Aurelia Shaw coolly glance past him and sit down at the dining table.

Grayson Quinn walked over, patted Mason Nightshade on the shoulder, sighing, "Looks like your road to winning her over is still long." He muttered softly, "Who spread the false military reports saying she chased you until you couldn't take it anymore, so you married her. The intel is obviously off. If I find out who did it, they're going to get a proper earful."

Mason Nightshade lifted his eyelids, his gaze coldly swept over him, "Keep those thoughts of yours away from Aurelia, and don't let me find out you're doing anything to her, or else pack your bags and let your old man take you back home."

"Why aren't you worried she might do something to me? I'm the one who keeps getting played, and you're clearly favoring your new bride of less than two months over a brother whose been through life and death with you for so many years." Grayson Quinn countered, muttering to himself: As long as you don't find out, it'll be fine.

"Good that you know." Mason Nightshade didn't bother to defend himself.

Seeing this, Grayson Quinn rolled his eyes, refusing to talk further with this hopelessly lovestruck man. Who could tell him what sort of charm this woman had cast on Mason Nightshade? Mason had never been this concerned about any woman before.

"Sister-in-law, did you make this meal?" Grayson Quinn eagerly sat down in front of the dining table, picking up a bite of food with his chopsticks and putting it in his mouth, his brow slightly furrowed, "Why doesn't it taste as good as before?"

Grayson Quinn was a few years older than Aurelia Shaw, but he sure was diligent in calling her Sister-in-law at every turn.
