Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!

Chapter 151: It Has Nothing to Do with Me

Grayson Quinn was too angry to speak, sitting on the sofa drinking tea silently.

Mason Nightshade turned around to look at Aurelia Shaw, his gaze lingered on her slightly flushed face, and he felt relieved. He wanted to say something, his lips moved, and his hand reached out to her, only to see her warily step back, her slightly cold eyes glancing at him.

Mason Nightshade felt a stabbing pain in his heart.

He withdrew his hand, letting it hang by his side, fingers moving slightly, clenching into a fist. He asked her softly, without showing it on his face, "Are you still not feeling well? Why are you running around everywhere? Didn't we agree you'd go to the hospital for a check-up today?"

"I'm fine now." Aurelia Shaw said with a slightly indifferent look, "The family doctor came this afternoon and did a check-up. My leg is fine now. If you have any issues, contact him directly. I'm going upstairs first."

Mason Nightshade's lips moved as if to say something, but seeing her in pajamas, the words swallowed back down, he nodded, "Go change your clothes in the room, tonight he's staying here for dinner."

Aurelia Shaw turned and went upstairs. Mason Nightshade called out to her from behind, stayed silent for two seconds, as Aurelia looked back at him, suddenly spoke in a low voice to her: "I've only ever been with you."

Aurelia Shaw was slightly taken aback, raised her eyes to look at Mason Nightshade, her gaze wasn't particularly cold, but there was not the slightest warmth in her eyes, her brows slightly furrowed, and she said in a light, indifferent tone, "I don't care how many women you've been with, even if you have a woman now, I don't care."

Mason Nightshade's expression slightly changed, "What are you talking about? Whether I have women, how many I've had, how could that have nothing to do with you, you are my wife!"

Aurelia Shaw laughed, "Mason, have you forgotten the things you told me before we got married?"

Mason Nightshade was slightly stunned, looking at Aurelia's somewhat mocking gaze, he was rooted to the spot, unable to speak, recalling their wedding day... Damn it! He wished he hadn't said those words. Why had he done so many hurtful things to her in the past?

Watching her figure go upstairs, Mason Nightshade felt waves of pain in his heart, unsure of what attitude he wanted her to have towards him. On the day of rebirth, he couldn't believe it all started over. She was still his wife; those things hadn't happened yet, and she was still alive.

As long as he saw her standing before him, alive and well, he felt content.

Occasionally, he couldn't help but want to get closer to her, to touch her... But whenever he did, memories of the past of how he hurt her would resurface, reminding him, causing excruciating heartache. He felt like a person walking on thin ice, cautiously staying by her side, afraid that any misstep would shatter this illusion-like existence of hers that seemed so unreal to him.

Sometimes in a daze, he wondered... Is this real? Or is it all a dream?

If it's a dream, then he wished never to wake up.

After changing clothes, he ran into Grayson Quinn. He was leaning against the wall opposite the doorway, arms crossed over his chest, with a faint smile on his lips, looking at her with deep, unmeasurable eyes, seemingly waiting for her to come out.

Aurelia Shaw raised an eyebrow, showing no surprise on her face.

"Grayson?" she asked, although in a questioning form, her tone was affirmative.

"Mason Nightshade has told you about me," Grayson replied, not surprised. He guessed that since he failed to sow discord last time, Mason must have told her about him, probably also warning her to be wary of him.

Aurelia Shaw just shook her head, with a light smile, said: "There's only one person around Mason with such bad taste and arrogance, that's you. It's not hard to guess."
