Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!

Chapter 114: Is There a Thief in the House?

"Your sweet mouth." Sophie Nye couldn't stop smiling.

"Auntie Sophie." A young, pleasant voice interrupted them, and Jovana Shaw greeted them with a smile, "Are you going shopping? I know a newly opened store with clothes that suit you perfectly. I happen to know the manager there, let me take you to have a look."

Sophie Nye looked her up and down; she recognized this person, Aurelia Shaw's sister—Sophie Nye's expression changed, a bit sullen, and she asked unpleasantly, "What are you doing here?"

Jovana Shaw raised the lunchbox in her hand, lowered her head, and said in a low voice, "My sister told me to make soup for my brother-in-law every day. I'm here to deliver the soup."

"She's quite happy to be idle." Sophie Nye grumbled discontentedly.

Then she glanced at Jovana Shaw again and said, "Where's that new store you mentioned? Take us to have a look." Chaptersource:MyVirtualLibraryEmpire(M|V|L4EMPYR).

"Sure." Jovana Shaw said with a smile, handed the lunchbox to a servant, and accompanied Sophie Nye and the other person out.

The three chatted and laughed, completely forgetting what had happened just now, as if Aurelia Shaw was irrelevant, knowing that even if they ignored her, she would shamelessly come back.

Aurelia Shaw took the chauffeur-driven car to the Cloud Pavilion Garden. Compared to the luxurious Nightshade Residence, she preferred staying in this hundred-square-meter house that belonged to her own space.

"Young Madam, do you need me to take you inside?" The driver glanced at her leg, inquiring.

"No need." Aurelia Shaw shook her head, "Thank Viscount Zhou for me when you go back, for going through the trouble to pick me up personally."

"It's nothing." The driver said with a smile, "You and the young master have been friends since childhood, and I've watched you grow up. It's no big deal, and the young master wouldn't mind these things with you either."

"Today's incident, best not to mention it to him." Aurelia Shaw said.

"I understand." Old Zhou nodded.

Aurelia Shaw got out of the car, took the elevator to the 8th floor, took out the key to open the door, and inside the house was pristine. Aurelia Shaw didn't mind because someone came to clean it every two days, so it would remain clean even with no one living in it for a long time.

Aurelia Shaw went to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of water, drank it, and due to the humid heat, turned on the air conditioning. She sat on the sofa, stretched her leg over the coffee table, and carefully examined the leg encased in plaster.

She could be 100% sure her leg was fine now, although she didn't know why.

After a few minutes, Aurelia Shaw began to remove the plaster, tried moving her leg and felt no pain. She then stood up and took a few steps, finding no hindrance to her movement, and even the scar on her ankle had vanished.

"How strange." Aurelia Shaw murmured to herself, and suddenly, she heard noises coming from the bedroom, and her heart skipped a beat.

She hadn't been back here for months; could a thief have broken in?

Aurelia Shaw found a kitchen knife and stealthily walked towards the bedroom. The door was ajar, and rustling sounds came from inside.

Aurelia Shaw's eyes darkened, her hand reached for the doorknob, and just as she was about to push the door open, it was suddenly pulled open from the inside—she was startled, raised the knife and swung it downward, only to see a familiar face warped in fear within her field of vision. She abruptly twisted her wrist, the blade narrowly brushing past the other's hair before embedding itself in the door behind.

Ursa Miller was so frightened her face turned pale, her legs trembled uncontrollably, her pupils contracted, and she looked ahead in terror, her lips quivering, "Young… Young Madam…"

Aurelia Shaw looked at Ursa Miller. It was fortunate she had stopped in time; otherwise, this little girl would have a big hole in her neck right now.
