The Witch's Anatomical Notes

Ch. 63

Chapter 63

Mental Strength Sharing (Tone it down, Chapter 55 blew up again)

After enjoying a brief moment of true "princess" service.

"Time to get up. I will teach you the complete Bramble Loop Meditation."

"I have improved the meditation method twice, and the effect has significantly increased. However, there will be a certain degree of pain during the meditation."

Olivia waved her hand nonchalantly. "Go ahead, I am ready."

Lucy first recited the entire modified meditation method to Olivia, then took a dark purple Calming Flower from the experimental table.

A meaningful smile curved at the corner of her lips.

"Here, eat this first."

Princess Olivia took the herb, feeling that something was off, but couldn’t quite figure out what was wrong. She hesitated for a moment but still tilted her head back and swallowed the herb.

"Ugh—"

A sudden burning sensation in her throat made the princess let out a muffled groan. Her slender fingers involuntarily gripped the bedsheet tightly. Lucy immediately embraced her trembling body from behind, her voice sounding close to Olivia’s ear.

"Hold on. The pain stimulates the active fluctuations of your mental strength. If you don’t want to experience this again, remember this special resonance frequency of mental strength well..."

Clenching her teeth, Olivia steadied herself and quickly entered a meditative state with Lucy’s help.

As the effect of the Calming Flower gradually faded, Olivia slowly opened her eyes, her gaze flickering with delight.

"It really worked!"

She could clearly feel that, under the stimulation of the drug, her meditation efficiency had increased by nearly thirty percent.

Unlike Lucy, who could instantly complete upgrades through the system, Olivia needed repeated practice to achieve the best meditation effect.

In other words, she would still need to take the Calming Flower several more times as an aid.

"I still have to keep being your little lab rat?" Olivia complained with a sulky face, but as she recalled that warm embrace just now, the tips of her ears quietly flushed red.

At this moment, Lucy revealed a mysterious smile. "I think I have discovered another function of Genetic Resonance."

"What function?!" Olivia immediately perked up.

"You'll know after I finish meditating." As Lucy spoke, she had already sat cross-legged and entered a meditative state.

At first, Olivia was still full of confusion, but as time passed, she was surprised to find that her mental strength was increasing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

After the time of one hourglass, she finally confirmed it — Genetic Resonance enabled "Mental Strength Sharing"!

When one party entered deep meditation, the other could also gain a 50% meditation bonus.

Even more delightful was that this effect still worked when both were meditating simultaneously, effectively increasing their cultivation efficiency by half.

However, the test also revealed some limitations: the resonance range did not exceed ten steps, and when one party suffered a mental shock, the other would share 30% of the damage.

"Looks like your decision to move into my dormitory was truly a wise one," Lucy raised an eyebrow and said.

Princess Olivia proudly lifted her chin. "This princess’s decisions have always been wise."

The two exchanged a smile and continued immersing themselves in meditation.

They only woke up after reaching the day’s meditation limit.

Outside, the starry sky was full. There were still three hourglass turns until dawn.

Olivia sat at the bedside, gently stroking the dormitory’s only wooden bed.

This single bed was clearly not meant for two people. A faint milky scent unique to Lucy still lingered on the sheets.

As if possessed, she picked up the pillow and lightly sniffed it.

"Do you want to sleep for a while?" The black-haired girl blinked her eyes and patted the bed casually, as if unintentionally.

Lucy shook her head and declined. "I need to sort out the recent dissection specimens."

For her, the existing witchcraft models were already sufficient. She was preparing to attempt the creation of her first "Flesh Construct."

At the same time, her study of the root characters in the High Elvish Introductory Dictionary was nearing completion. Presumably, it would soon form into a skill.

"Oh." Olivia responded gloomily, but deliberately left her two porcelain-white long legs exposed outside the quilt, glowing with a pearly sheen under the firelight of the fireplace.

Lucy had just opened the High Elvish Introductory Dictionary when her peripheral vision was firmly caught by that snow-white sight.

The characters on the page suddenly became difficult to recognize, and she cleared her throat lightly.

"Perhaps taking a short nap wouldn't be so bad."

The world outside the window was cold, but the firewood in the dormitory fireplace made the room as warm as spring.

Lucy closed the High Elvish Introductory Dictionary, the rustling sound of her robe slipping down drowned out by the crackling of the fireplace.

Olivia, whose scheme had succeeded, quickly turned over and tried to wrap her arms around Lucy's waist. Just as she wanted to flip over and take the initiative, she suddenly realized an invisible force of mental strength was firmly pinning her down.

"Despicable! You’re actually using mental strength!" Olivia protested angrily. "It should have been me!"

Lucy reversed her grip and pinned Olivia’s wrist.

"This is called senior sister’s authority!"

The next day

West Tower top-floor study.

Lucy asked about the problems she had encountered these past few days.

"Teacher, I successfully compiled the Anatomy Notes yesterday, but after several attempts, I still couldn’t construct the 'Saint Radiance' into a witchcraft model."

Fernando lifted his eyes from the ancient books, his gaze drifting over the faces of his two disciples.

Lucy appeared calm, her eyes full of thirst for knowledge.

Olivia, on the other hand, looked at Lucy with resentment written all over her face.

The young people these days were becoming more and more difficult to understand.

"Let me take a look first before answering you. As for you, Olivia... though you are a witch, you’ve only recently started practicing witchcraft, so just listen quietly for now."

"Yes, teacher."

Fernando stood up and carefully examined the specimen on the table.

"As expected." After a moment, Fernando identified the key issue. "If I am not mistaken, this should be the Saint Radiance Scales Mark of the God of Scales, one of the two main gods of the Golden Cult."

Fernando retrieved a parchment book from the bookshelf, flipped to a particular page, and handed it to Lucy.

It contained records of everything related to the Golden Cult.

There were two quasi-divine evil gods in the Golden Cult system.

The first was: God of Scales, Helios Aequis, whose authority was to govern the law of 'selling' transactions.

The second was: God of Twin Serpents, Mercury Pandos, whose authority was to govern the law of 'buying' transactions.

The 'scales' and 'twin serpents' respectively appeared on Bishop Woven’s forehead and scepter.

The Saint Radiance that Lucy had seized came from the God of Scales, Helios.

"To convert the Saint Radiance into a magical vein, it is not enough to simply change its energy source. The connection between the Saint Radiance and the evil god must be completely severed."

Lucy asked, "Teacher, what should I do?"

"Within the boundaries of the law, you need to break down the power of law contained in this Saint Radiance... I can assist you, but aren’t you going to try it yourself?"

To break down the law within the framework of the law.

Lucy pondered as she accepted the specimen jar handed back by her teacher.

"Thank you, teacher. I would like to try it myself."

A smile appeared at the corner of Fernando’s mouth.

The life of a wizard was a life of exploring the unknown. Although he could have helped eliminate the law power upon Lucy’s request, he didn’t want his disciple to become overly reliant on him.

After resolving the first issue, Lucy brought up another question.

"Teacher, I wish to learn some knowledge about Flesh Constructs."

This time, Fernando did not refuse. He immediately began explaining Anatomical Constructology.
