Lucifer flipped through the seemingly unnecessary folders. Finally, after a while, he had found what he had been looking for all this time.

[Basic information of the product.]

Without stopping, Lucifer immediately clicked on the folder to open it. He was eager to know what kind of person he was in this world.

The first thing that popped up on the screen was the image of a skinny boy with black eyes and a layered two-block hairstyle, slightly messy. The boy had a pair of black dead eyes. The boy might have to suffer a lot in his past.

After reading through all the words in the basic information carefully, Lucifer was able to come to a few conclusions.

First, his name and date of birth in this world were exactly the same as in the old world. What a coincidence. Moreover, this body was 15 years old, which was 5 years younger than Lucifer in his previous world.

Next, he was born without a healthy body, but a sickly one. But because his family was not well-off, he was not sent to the hospital for proper treatment. Over time, Lucifer's illness had gradually become more serious. Although it had vanished, in return he had to live with this skinny body.

Lastly, there was his family. If he had to describe Lucifer's family, he could sum it up in one word: "Trash." Both parents were addicted on gambling and couldn't live without alcohol. And they were willing to sell their only child just to get more money to gamble.

'What a bunch of trash.'

Lucifer felt sorry for the owner of this body for having to be born and raised in such a toxic environment. Lucifer suddenly wondered if he was the one who killed the owner of this body.

'This is really tiring.'

Lucifer turned off the computer and lay down on the sofa near the TV. Although it wasn't as comfy as the bed, it was more than enough for him. Lucifer pondered for a moment about what he should do in the future.

Since he appeared in Hell, most of the plot had changed. He could escape from Hell, but that also meant that most of the plot in the future would be different.

The author's privilege would be gone. One of Lucifer's advantages in this world was knowing the future, but he was afraid that he would have to face a future he didn't know about.

Perhaps this was what people called the butterfly effect. Just a small change could completely affect the future ahead.

'Well, whatever. No matter how much it changes, it doesn't matter. Life is unpredictable anyway.'

Lucifer reassured himself, believing that he could still live well even if he couldn't predict the time ahead. He still knew the settings and the things that could make him stronger in this world to prepare for an uncertain future.

Lucifer fell asleep without realizing it.

The next morning, Lucifer woke up. He looked around the room, noticing that Mastro was no longer in bed and the uniform he usually wore was also gone.

'Maybe he went to have breakfast.'

Lucifer got off the sofa and went to the bathroom. After more than 10 minutes, he put on the remaining uniform in the room and walked out, going to the first floor to have breakfast. Lucifer also did not forget to buy food for Mask.

A day of work for the guards was simple and leisurely. Lucifer did not have to do much other than cleaning, taking turns guarding the main gate, and monitoring those who passed the test while they were training.

It was unbelievable that the guards were paid so much just to do such mundane, routine work. Perhaps the main reason their salaries were so high was because this was an extremely dangerous job that could even lead to death at any moment.

Having a lot of money was good, but being able to spend it was even more essential.

Lucifer finished his shift at 5pm. Before returning to his room, Lucifer stopped by Mask's room to see if she was okay.

In contrast to Lucifer, Mask seemed to be enjoying this place more than he thought. She had spent most of her time watching TV and sleeping. She didn't need to work and still had food served to her.

'So jealous…'

Lucifer returned to his room, where Mastro was sitting on the bed reading a book. He had probably just finished his shift.

***

A week had passed and Lucifer's two companions had changed significantly compared to the first day.

First was Mastro, who was trying to speed up the escape campaign from this place. Perhaps reading the same books over and over again and watching the same boring TV shows was enough to make Mastro felt uncomfortable.

On the other hand, I didn't know if it was because of having too much fun, but Mask was suffering from a serious illness. She had been like that for 2 consecutive days, but Lucifer couldn't do anything but take care of Mask himself. If Mask was discovered, all 3 of them would definitely die.

Since one of their members was sick, Lucifer and Mastro had to work harder to find a way out without being caught by the guards here.

They worked hard in the morning and in the evening, they had to constantly go around the 6 floors to find a suitable, non-dangerous exit.

***

Today was the 9th day they had been trapped here . Mastro was gradually losing his patience, so he became more irritable recently. Meanwhile, Mask's illness showed no signs of recovery.

Currently, Lucifer was observing the people who had passed the training trial. If he saw anyone slacking off, he had the right to punish that person.

All the people training here were very tough and full of potential. Especially Lucian, whose growth rate was much faster than the others.

In just 9 short days, he had climbed from the bottom of the rankings to become the 3rd ranked person.

'As expected of the future companion of the protagonist.'

While Lucifer was observing Lucian, a hand was placed on his shoulder. Lucifer quickly turned around, realizing that the person was a guard in a red uniform. He ordered him to gather on the 1st floor.

'Did I do something wrong?'

Lucifer trembled, afraid that his identity had been found out. But surprisingly, there were also many people called up to the first floor besides him.

"What's happening here?" Lucian asked the guard standing next to him.

The guard turned to Lucifer but didn't say anything. He was a man of few words.

Not receiving an answer, Lucifer turned away, not paying any more attention to the guard standing next to him. Suddenly, he noticed an item at his feet.

Curious, he picked it up and put it in his pocket, telling himself that he would check it when he returned to the room.

"Everyone, gather!" It was the voice of the man he had seen on the first day.

He was standing on a table and ordering all the guards to stay quiet.

"We suspect that there is a spy in here! So please cooperate to find him. You just need to show us your employee badges and take off your masks."

Lucifer was startled, afraid that he had been discovered.

A red guard began to check each person, he was getting closer and closer to Lucifer.

Lucifer closed his eyes, ready to accept his fate. That was what he thought.

"Didn't you hear me? Show me your employee card and take off your mask."

Lucifer slowly opened his eyes, realizing that the red guard was giving orders to the guard next to him but the guard seemed to have no intention of obeying.

"So you're the fucking spy? Got you!"
