The Villain’s Perspective

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: D-Day (3)

After hearing the command, the four green guards charged towards the monster like zombies with an amazing speed.

'For real?'

Lucifer was completely taken aback. He had expected that they would not listen to his orders and try to run away, but no. It turned out that their loyalty to this place was greater than Lucifer thought.

The four guards got closer and closer to the monster. Seeing this, the monster stretched out its arms and swung around wildly, destroying everything it hit. Just one hit would have been enough to kill them, but the guards did not back down.

They easily dodged the monster's strikes and approached nearer and nearer to it. Since they had no weapons, all they could do was to use martial arts.

One person used Taekwondo, one used Systema, one used Karate, and one used Muay Thai.

Surprisingly, the physical attacks seemed to be able to damage the monster as it was being pushed back by the perfect coordination of the 4 guards.

'Could it be that this monster is only immune to bullets?'

Meanwhile, Lucifer was still standing in the same place, observing each person in admiration. Next to him was another white guard, who seemed to not have the courage of the others.

Suddenly, Lucifer saw him reaching into his pocket to look for something. It didn't take long for the guard to find what he was looking for, it was a black marble. Lucifer instantly knew this person's intentions, but he couldn't let him alert the others.

His plan would be ruined if the white guard did that, so he had to stop him no matter what.

The moment he was about to break the marble, Lucifer quickly pulled out his pistol and shot the guard in the middle of the chest. Although the uniform could block shots from a distance, it could not block shots from a close distance.

Because of that, the guard died right away and the marble was not destroyed yet. It seemed that the remaining four were so concentrated on the battle that they did not pay attention to the gunshots that had just occurred.

'Lucky…'

Lucifer picked up the marble and put it in his pocket safely.

Although the four green guards coordinated very well with each other, their stamina was not limitless. After a while, their attacks had slowed down and the monster gradually regained the upper hand.

Unexpectedly, the monster retracted its arm, returning it to its original state. The monster then used the lower part of its fist to slam down on the Karate user's shoulder, causing him to step back and hold his shoulder in pain.

'Is that Tetsui Uchi, a technique in Karate?'

Then, the monster bounced up and spun around, delivering a kick to the Muay Thai user's head. He was sent flying, unconscious on the spot.

'Is it Taekwondo's Twimyo Dollyo Chagi now?'

Not stopping there, the monster used its shin to kick the other two in the ribs, causing them to cough up blood. Needless to say, that kick was utmost powerful.

'Is the monster using Muay Thai's Roundhouse Kick now?'

There was no way a monster could have learned such martial arts to use them in combat. So the only logical answer was that the monster had copied the techniques from those four people.

It might seem unbelievable that a monster of the lowest level could do such a thing, but it was also possible that it was a special one.

If it could copy the moves of different martial arts, then the battle would become much more strenuous. They would have to defeat it without using any martial arts.

"Everyone, step back! The monster can copy our martial arts techniques!" Lucifer shouted, informing the others.

Understanding the situation, the four of them jumped back instantly, keeping their distance from the monster.

Although monsters of even the lowest level were strong, they were not immortal. It was still possible to defeat them. Because it was Lucifer who wrote that in the novel after realizing that Beast-level monsters were still too strong for normal humans.

"Everyone! Can everyone buy me some time? I need to observe the monster carefully to find its weakness."

"But what should we do? It can copy our moves, right?" the Taekwondo user asked.

"Then use the moves it has learned. Don't use other moves so that it can copy them!" Lucifer shouted.

Right after that, the four of them charged in to attack the monster at the same time, while Lucifer remained standing outside to watch the monster carefully.

Sure enough, if they didn't use new moves, the monster wouldn't be able to copy them. The evidence was that it only used the moves it had just used, it hadn't utilized any other moves.

In addition, the monster could stretch its arms, but not infinitely. It could only stretch them to about 10 meters at most, but that was still too long.

'Oh right!' A thought flashed through Lucifer's mind.

"Everyone, gather here!" He shouted.

As they received the order, the four of them stopped striking the monster and ran back to Lucifer.

"I have a plan everyone." Lucifer tried to speak as quietly as possible because he wasn't sure if the monster had intelligence or not.

"The plan is very simple, we just need to grab its two arms tightly and run around the monster's body so that the arms will wrap around its body. Then, we'll use all our strength to pull, if we're strong enough, maybe the monster's arms will break and we can take advantage of that opportunity to kill it." Lucifer continued.

"But what if it pulls its arms back while we are pulling it?" The Systema user asked.

"It's simple, just do your best to pull the arms back, at least that will interrupt the monster's movements. I'll take advantage of that opportunity to finish it off." Lucifer said with a firm voice.

The other four nodded in agreement to Lucifer's plan without asking how he would kill it. They had complete faith in Lucifer. Maybe because he was wearing a red uniform.

That made Lucifer feel quite bad.

The remaining four stood up and stretched, preparing for their "all or nothing" plan. This would be their first and last plan. If it failed, all of them would die.

In front, the monster was still standing still, doing nothing but staring at the group of people in front of it.
