The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 392: 392:The Upcoming Meeting

The Next Day, in Evan's Lab

Daniel arrived early, dressed casually but with an air of anticipation. He was greeted by Big Mac, who escorted him to the lab's core, an immaculate space where glowing blue panels lined the walls and advanced equipment were arranged meticulously.

Evan stood by a large chamber filled with a swirling blue liquid. "You're on time," he remarked, his voice laced with mock surprise.

Daniel rolled his eyes. "Don't act so shocked. I'm more excited about this than you think."

Evan gestured to the chamber. "This is the serum you wanted. Once injected, it will trigger rapid cellular enhancement. The process will hurt, but the results should be worth it."

Daniel stepped closer, his gaze fixed on the chamber. "And the gadgets?"
Your next chapter awaits on empire

Evan tapped on a console, illuminating a nearby table, revealing an array of sleek devices: a combat suit, energy-based weapons, and a wristband with integrated AI controls.

"Everything you'll need to survive—and maybe even impress the Federation," Evan said, a smirk tugging at his lips.

Daniel grinned. "Let's do this."

_____

Daniel stood in the chamber as the blue liquid enveloped him. Evan monitored the procedure from his console, but his expression was unreadable. Aurora's holographic form floated beside him, providing real-time updates.

[Vitals are stable. Serum integration commencing in three, two, one.]

The liquid in the chamber began to glow, and Daniel's body tensed. Pain surged through him as his muscles expanded and his bones strengthened. He clenched his fists, refusing to scream, but his face contorted in agony.

"Hang in there," Evan muttered, watching the readings closely.

After what felt like an eternity, the glow subsided, and the chamber drained. Daniel staggered out, his body trembling but visibly transformed.

One could see that his muscles were more defined and his posture more commanding.

"How do you feel?" Evan asked, his tone neutral but curious.

Daniel took a deep breath and flexed his fingers. "Like I could take on the world."

Evan chuckled and tossed him the wristband. "Good, because that's exactly what you'll need to do."

Later that evening, Evan sat in his study, his pen twirling between his fingers as he reviewed Aurora's latest updates on Daniel's enhancement. His mind buzzed with plans and contingencies until a notification from Aurora broke his focus.

[Incoming call from Rajesh Patel,] Aurora announced.

Evan leaned back, raising an eyebrow. "Patch him through."

The holographic interface lit up, and Rajesh Patel's face appeared, his expression a blend of tension and formality.

"Evan," Rajesh began, his tone measured, "I hope I'm not catching you at a bad time."

"You always manage to find the perfect moment to surprise me," Evan replied dryly. "What's this about?"

Rajesh hesitated for a moment before continuing, "The Federation. They've requested a meeting with me during my visit to USL."

Evan's pen stopped mid-spin as he leaned forward, his eyes narrowing. "A meeting? With you? What do they want?"

"They didn't specify," Rajesh replied, visibly uneasy. "But from what I gather, it's not just a courtesy visit. They've been watching the recent developments—your projects, your growing influence. It's made them… curious."

Evan tapped his fingers on the desk, his mind racing. "Curious, or concerned?"

"Probably both," Rajesh admitted. "You've stirred up a lot of attention and the Federation doesn't take kindly to people who disrupt their delicate balance of power."

Evan smirked. "So, they want you to test me. And have a nice little chat with you."

Rajesh nodded. "That's how I see it. But Evan, be careful. These people don't play games. If they see you as a threat, they won't hesitate to neutralize you and they might even go for me."

Evan leaned back, a cold smile crossed his lips. "Let them try. I'll think about their invitation, but until Daniel meets, it's better for you to not get involved.

Rajesh hesitated as if he wanted to say more but chose not to. Instead, he nodded. "Just… watch your step. I'll update you if I hear anything else."

The call ended, leaving Evan in silence.

[That was unexpected,] Aurora commented, her holographic form appearing beside him. [What's your move?]

Evan stared at the empty space where Rajesh's image had been. "First, we prepare. I want full intel on every member of the Federation's leadership. Their weaknesses, connections, secrets—everything."

[Already working on it,] Aurora confirmed. [And Daniel? Should he be informed about this?]

Evan's smirk returned. "Not yet. Let him handle his meeting first. I want to see how he fares before dragging him into my mess."

Meanwhile, in USL

The Federation's headquarters loomed like a fortress at the heart of the capital. Inside, the council members gathered around a grand table, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of screens displaying recent events.

A sharp-featured woman spoke first. "Evan has become a wildcard. His projects are destabilizing the balance we've worked so hard to maintain."

Another member, an older man with piercing eyes, nodded gravely. "We need to understand his motives. If he's an ally, he could be invaluable. If he's a threat…"

"We deal with him," the woman finished coldly. "The President had called for a vote."

The room fell silent as their gazes shifted to the central screen, where Evan's image was displayed.

"I agree…"

"Me too…"

"I also agree."

With this, the decision was unanimously sealed.

Back in Indra

Daniel sat in his office, examining the combat suit Evan had sent over. Flexing his newly enhanced muscles, he felt the surge of strength coursing through him.

His secretary entered, holding a tablet. "Sir, there's another message from Evan."

Daniel raised an eyebrow. "What now?"

"It's about the Federation."

Daniel's expression darkened. "What about them?"

"They've extended an invitation to Rajesh as well," the secretary explained. "But Evan hasn't decided if he'll accept."

Leaning back, Daniel's lips curled into a sly grin. "Looks like the Federation's casting a wide net. Well, let's see who makes the bigger splash—me or him."

Evan's Preparations

In his lab, Evan oversaw the final adjustments to a sleek, black aircraft designed for stealth and rapid deployment. Big Mac approached him, his usually stoic expression tinged with concern.

"Boss, if Daniel is going to meet them, he might need more than just tech and wit. These people don't trust easily."

Evan nodded. "That's why I'm bringing leverage."

Big Mac raised an eyebrow. "Leverage?"

Evan smirked, gesturing to a sealed case on the table. "Just a little something to remind them that I'm not someone they can control."

Just then, Aurora's voice chimed in. [The aircraft is ready. Shall I prepare for takeoff?]

Evan took a deep breath, his expression hardening. "Not yet. Let them stew for a bit. We move when I say so."
