The night slowly moves on with many still trying to put together information on changes in rival companies and with few unbothered by the turmoil they inadvertently caused.

Away from it all and under her blanket, Su Lian's dazed focus was on the BMW car keys on her bedside table. After sending Chen Kai away, the girls and she had a very short meeting about the the cars. The result was expected. The two cars will stay in Su Lian's name, she will solely drive the BMW since she chose it first and the Mercedes will be used by the three.

Su Lian didn't put up a fight. She was immersed in a honey pot from the moment the white BMW was revealed.

The WeChat notification was loud in the quiet room.

She didn't have to guess who was sending such late messages. Opening it, her smile became sweeter when she read the content.

During their college years, the friendship on the surface was talked about by their classmates and others. When the opinions reached her ears she was rightfully angered and had a hint of shame. She was annoyed that these outsiders had such arrogant remarks about who she should be with and pissed that they looked down on Kai. A lot of connections were cut off during those four years and she settled on the three ladies she considers her sisters. During that time, both she and Kai didn't care about the rumors but kept a certain distance between them.

They were careful not to affect each other's daily life, by attracting unreasonable people but when she asked him to practice her driving skills in his old Jetta, he agreed without hesitation. He accompanied her every time until it was natural to hand her the car keys when she wanted to borrow the car.

It was during one of their late-night run she boldly told him her plans after college. She told him the type of apartment she could settle for, the company she hoped to be accepted in, and the house and car she planned to buy when she was in a steady job.

"A BMW? Well, it fits your personality."

"Hehehe. Yup. The Alpina is my favorite. It may look too sporty for a woman but I like it. They will be mind blown to see a girl speeding through the streets...."

"No speeding, young lady," Chen Kai quipped from the co-pilot seat.

"I can do it after a few turns. Well, I should say I would be alright if I speed," she bantered with him. She heard his scoff before speaking once again.

"You should be saying, 'I won't speed.'"

"I won't speed where it's not suitable." She turned her head to tease him some more but her eyes caught a glimpse of his phone. He was looking at the car she mentioned and reading the specifications. Su Lian didn't call him out on it. She stayed silent but was screaming inwardly at how sweet he was.

"Are you thinking about getting a loan to buy this car or savings?" he asked unhurriedly.

"Savings and payment plan. It must be in my name. Why do you ask? Are you planning to buy it for me," she taunted, glancing his way, she was caught by his intense dark eyes. They softened when they found her gaze. He uttered two words that made her heart beat louder for him.

"Why not?"

That conversation between them was kept deep in Su Lian's memory because it gave her hope for their future. There was hope for their relationship after they left college.

He didn't disappoint her.

They were finally together without any outsiders' opinion. It's just the two of them.

With that happy thought, she posted three photos of their outing in her circles and placed a photo of her and Kai as her profile picture. That last photo was edited. She wrote the inscriptions that were on their bracelets in the photo.

Even though it was late in the night, she received a lot of queries about her relationship with Chen Kai. Since they got together the profile picture change was late. She knew the lurkers had many questions after Lin Fa's live broadcast and the random photos. In her class group chat, she was the main topic countless times.

Being called a gold worshipper; a fool for going along with Chen Kai's tricks; and a woman without eyesight.

She didn't confront them. She read every snide comment and off-the-bat joke, even the Yin-Yang tones of a few girls. Why should she care about their words or opinions? A relationship is between two people, no outsiders are allowed.

At the Sleeping Dragon Villa, the Chen Brothers took Kai's study as their base to talk things over that weren't suitable for outsiders.

They sat in a familiar setting; similar to their leisure time in the palace. XiaoYan took the initiative to brew some tea leaves he got from the Ruan family as a meeting gift. Chen Kai sat on the other side of the coffee table blankly staring at his brother's proficient movements.

He recalled teaching the brat these things and making sure his education surpassed other noble kids so he wouldn't be disadvantaged. Presently these were his same thoughts for their new lives.

His hold on XiaoYan is loose but he's strict on his etiquette and education.

"I had a Four-Treasures set sent to your study. It's time to restart your calligraphy - 2 hours a day."

"Yes, big brother." XiaoYan shuddered after that subconscious reply. He glared at his brother who had a shallow smirk on his face. A hint of mockery accompanied that smirk. His brother saw his blunder.

"Curse your training," he spat angrily but the upward curve of his lips couldn't be hidden. XiaoYan hasn't come down from his happiness cloud from the moment he found his brother, everything else was secondary. He has been wandering for years filled with guilt of leaving his own family member and sorrow for leaving him so broken.

He can still recall his big brother's eyes when he took his last breath.

It was more painful than the wound he died from. To see his dependable big brother slowly break down was too much.

Taking a deep breath to chase away his memories, he offered the finished tea to Chen Kai.

"Brother."

His voice betrayed him and the slight tremors in his hands were visible to Chen Kai.

"Thank you." The soft-spoken words calmed the young man.

He nodded his head earnestly and made a cup for himself.

"The spiritual energy has become quite dense. My cultivation has risen. It is to the point that I have to manipulate my strength to the standard of ordinary people."

Listening to XiaoYan's words, Chen Kai pulled up the holographic screen from the system to check on the territory. A detailed analysis was given and the side effects that will happen along the way.

"The Mana Heart is quite effective on this star. The air is purer and the natural flora and fauna are basking in it. We have to put up precautions for the woodland creatures. Having them roam free is a good thing but when they have too many offspring it will be a danger to them. This is the city after all."

"We can transfer them to Tiaxin when that time comes," XiaoYan commented.

"Yes."

The two stayed in an amiable silence and read through the report the system gave pertaining to the world's economy and technology.

"Humans are such predictable creatures. No matter what era - power and riches are the main goals to be content with. This world's countries are more divided than your original home. Is it due to the historical trajectory?"

"Yes. Each country had its own destined son. Some were led to prosperity and some were led to destruction. It's all about choices and one's strength. If we had to compare timelines, my original home had a technological breakthrough in terms of security, medicine, and entertainment. The Europeans were the lead in clean energy and the Asian countries were in alliance on that project.

The Americans kept their success in weaponry hidden but eagerly came to the Asians when advanced communication devices were created. The Africans kept themselves isolated but the Europeans and Asians had low-key trades with them. The Caribbean countries decided on a balance between technology and nature bringing them to be the land of comfort when it comes to vacation spots.

XiaoYan looked at the current video playing. This was a closed procedure for Bio-Maternity Capsules. The gestation capsule only needed the required specimen from the human parties involved, everything else was handled in the lab.

This brought him to another thought.

"It can count as a victory if that country can hold on to their successes." Chen Kai countered his statement with a cold realistic statement.

XiaoYan nodded in agreement.

"When I first learned of their level, I remembered the past stars I lived in, so many things I've witnessed. It will be fun to watch the path this star takes."

"You're not putting your own mark on this star?" XiaoYan asked as the next video report played on the holographic screen.

Tactical War robots and life-skilled robots. They were partially humanoid and a bit more advanced in hardware compared to the ones they have in the villa. Software-wise they were basic leveled. The AI controlling these villa robots is the upgraded Argon, it's above this star's level by a few points.

"Whatever is gifted to me from the system for my retirement counts as my mark. I'm too lazy to change society."

XiaoYan chuckled at his brother's words. Thinking it over, he supported this decision. Getting involved in the fight is too troublesome.

Chen Kai looked at the iPad on the coffee table. Argon's 3d Character was visible as it displayed a document and attached photos. He moved his attention from the system to Argon.

The more he read of the investigation the more relieved he was in not looking for his birth father.

He was part of a dog blood plot. Staying away from that drama is the right thing to do but there will always be a variable.

Chen Kai turned to that variable.

XiaoYan turned to his brother when he felt an intense gaze on his head. The disgusted look on his face had XiaoYan clueless about what he did. "What did I do?" That clueless look made him a cute kid but Chen Kai didn't see him as his cute baby brother.

"Damn Flag! Give me a drop of blood.

"Ok."

XiaoYan condensed a small wisp of spiritual energy and encased his index finger before shaping it into a blade. The semi-transparent blade created a smooth cut on his palm, with effortless manipulation he recovered a droplet of blood the size of a coin and flicked it over to Chen Kai.

"At least ask the question why."

"You probably need it for something important."

Chen Kai eyed the salted fish XiaoYan opposite him. "I don't know if I should be extremely proud of your unmatched trust in me or be concerned. Ask questions in the future."

"Sure. Sure."

Shaking his head at the brat's nonchalant behavior. 'Thankfully I'm a prime example of a good big brother,' he boasted inwardly.

'System, deduct fate points for a one-time use of the advanced DNA tester.'

Following XiaoYan's actions, he also retrieved a drop of blood and kept the two droplets at eye level as he waited on the system.

'No.' He knew it had an unbelievable amount. The points are rarely used. He has no pressing emergency or situation to use the items from the Intergalactic Mall.

He pulled up the separate screen for the spatial warehouse and retrieved the DNA kit. The silver-metallic sheen of the flat rectangular device Chen Kai revealed caught XiaoYan's attention.

"What's that?" He moved closer and patiently waited for Kai to activate this seamless device.

"A DNA Kit from another galaxy. The system has a mall with many things from different dimensional planes and stars. My accumulated Fate points from completed missions are used as currency." Chen Kai spoke while activating the metallic device.

He lightly pressed the small indent at the center of the device which opened the the cover in halves.

The virtual keyboard appeared with two prompts. The option 'NO' was selected.

Chen Kai entered both his name and XiaoYan's. His little brother frowned for a moment then it cleared up when he figured out the reason behind his actions.

"So deep?"

"Yes and troublesome also," Chen Kai answered.

"Oh~ That sucks."

"Stupid flag. I don't want to be part of a dog blood drama," Chen Kai cursed once more, giving XiaoYan the evil eye. The kid simply gave him a stupid grin and then gestured for him to move on with the DNA test.

A soft catch was heard and a small section slid away to reveal two purple circular discs. He placed the blood samples on the labeled test strip and stared at the two-minute waiting time.

"Did your search surround Chen Quan?"

"Yeah, plus I got news from the search team. Everything lines up with our conjunctures."

XiaoYan heard the underlying meaning. This original host never cared about the parents who abandoned him. He attached great importance to Chen Kai and that didn't falter during the time they got along with each other. He never put the thought in his head that he and Chen Kai could be relatives.

To him, this big brother is the only person in this world, the only one who cares for him and won't hurt or despise him. He also knew how lonely this brother was, and that's why he waited for a suitable soul to keep the companionship they created.

He didn't want Chen Kai to be alone.

With his soul in this child's body, XiaoYan, formerly Vance understood the child's thinking. It also lines up with his. Their family will always be the big brother who loved and protected them.

In this new life, the present XiaoYan will only put to knowledge his origins so he won't be caught off guard in the future.

The results were above 50%, nearing 90%. This close blood tie means their fathers came from the same branch line. Judging by their ages and their mothers, there's a possibility XiaoYan's father should be younger than Kai's.

He went back to the report Argon and Commander Liu sent him.

Releasing a heavy sigh, Chen Kai can guess the woman's thinking when she gained this scum's attention.

"Yeah. Her chase led her to Beijing where he kept her for some years when reunited. It wasn't long before she was discarded. His engagement was released a few months ago. I don't know what ecstasy he hooked her with but she killed herself. The team recovered the suicide note the police found at her apartment.

I will let them bring back her remains for her sister."

"What kind of love she had for that man that made her so devoted?"

Chen Kai looked up at his brother. "Hers was misplaced." He didn't mention the fiance who killed herself to join him in the afterlife.

XiaoYan understood Kai's look. No one can understand the thoughts of those in love.

"Did you search for your father?"

"He doesn't matter."
