The Tycoon Inheritance

Chapter 51: 51.

Tiaxin Equestrian Hall is a rather simple and low-key name to place on a grandiose property. The hall stands by its name. It's a multi-faceted place that centers around the love of horses and sophistry.

A foreigner owned the land of ten acres in the early years of land development. The land had the original purpose of a wedding house for his domestic wife but facing the poisonous tongues of relatives and the public, she stayed with her husband in his country. He didn't sell it. He created a paradise that tempted many elites in the province and opened it exclusively.

The man had no big grudge, he wanted them to simply put a bit of pocket money in his wife's hand.

The property is a melting pot of different business and leisurely conveniences. The consumption rate is high, the staff are all professionals in their respective areas, and high privacy is maintained.

The membership has three levels. Silver. Gold. Platinum.

Each level has its measured access whether it's the welcoming lounge or the golf course, everyone's experience is different.

Weekends have a high traffic time. This time the Tiaxin Equestrian Hall welcomes families, couples, or company retreat events.

It's Sunday and a group of young people arrived arrogantly, driving flashy supercars as they attempted to pass through the 12ft iron gates to reach the main hall. Five burly security guards stopped them, gaining the anger of the high-minded youths. Being stopped during their wild showcase of riches was an insult to their titles.

"We have reservations, move it." The shout came from the first young master who was handling a light blue Ferrari.

The leader of the guards stepped forward with an iPad in his hand.

"Tiaxin Equestrian Hall is under new management. With this, new policies have been established. Presently you are meeting one of the newly established security policies...."

"Enough of the chatter. Let me through." The young man was getting embarrassed by being stopped by these substitute cops. He finally got his father's membership card to come play and was trying to impress the beauty in the car behind him.

Typical prodigal rich kid.

The team leader smirked at him, not agitated by the rude cutoff.

"Please present your membership card and state the names of your guests—reminder - a maximum of five guests are allowed on each card. A security check will now be carried out," the team leader stated ignoring the angry bear kid.

"Do you know who I am?" The young man angrily stepped out of his car, prompting the security team to become vigilant.

His friends in the two cars behind him became antsy. From the posture of the guards and their friend's anger, they know this development wasn't good. Everyone left their cars wanting to calm everyone down but their friend felt like he was slapped in the face.

"It's new policies, right? We can abide by it. Right Brother Gu?" The blue-haired young master who spoke is known to be the mediator among the friends. Yao Junqi turned to the imposing guards.

"Sirs. What do you need? It's possible that we weren't notified of these changes," he said in a flattering tone.

"Each member was notified two days ago along with the staff. Please show your membership card and state your guests. I advise you to return to your vehicles to lessen the image of aggression. The owner is known to be decisive when it comes to matters of his business," the team leader said firmly.

The group of eight returned to their vehicles under the cold glares of the guards. The team leader began with the young master Gu, who had one of his friends beside him. He threw the gold card with gritted teeth and tried to calm himself.

The team leader wasn't bothered. Using the iPad camera, he scanned the membership card and the personal details popped up. The owner's photo came up and also their immediate family who have authorisation to use the card.

"Mr. Gu, how many guests have you invited?"

The young man rattled off five names pushing the guards to check their IDs. The team leader moved to the second car that held Young Master Yao Junqi. The young man didn't play any big scenes, he cooperated and asked a few unobtrusive questions. He didn't get much information, only a few words about 'new policies' and 'better guest experience'.

The insignificant security guards before weren't as tight-lipped as this new crew.

Did the new owner flip the entire Tiaxin staff?

In Yao Junqi's car was an invited person who hadn't integrated fully into the clique. Her presence was all due to her beauty and the little influence her family had in Hangzhou. Agreeing to come with these young masters was a decision she made to develop. It was too congested in Hangzhou. Here she can flourish in a clique.

Now with this experience, Li Yaqin can see how many powerful people it has in Nanjing and that it's the parents these young masters depend on. Only a few have strong standings within the elite circle.

"Have a good time at Tiaxin Equestrian Hall!"

The three-car parade drove through the opened gates and steadily made their way up the winding cobblestone driveway. On either side of the driveway were well-kept lawns and lush flowers basked in the morning sun leading them to the large Western-styled manor.

Li Yaqin tried to hold back her gasp of surprise but was heard by her other companions.

"It's incredible. This is only a sliver of how massive Tiaxin truly is," the companion commented.

The cars stopped at the entrance and were welcomed by a group of valets and attendants.

The valets helped the drivers and the attendants helped the guests out of the car, leading them into the manor. Brother Gu stepped into his role of capable young master, staying in line with Li Yaqin's vision.

"Welcome to Tiaxin Equestrian Hall. Young Master Gu, I shall take you to the rest area as we plan your stay at Tiaxin." The attendant was polite and spoke moderately as he led them towards a hallway that was lined with modern artwork on the walls. The light-colored Spanish tiles were like a path leading them to the bright atrium dedicated to gold members.

Led inside, the group was impressed by the panoramic view before them. They dumbfoundedly took a seat and listened to the recreation manager while being served refreshing fruit drinks and warm towels to wipe away the tiredness of their little travel to Taixin.

They were left alone for a few minutes to decide when Young Master Gu got to his feet and walked to the floor-to-ceiling glass window that showcased the view of the barely touched inland lake.

This lake is only accessible to the platinum members and the staff. Other members can only watch the scenery of the large expanse of water and nature's fauna around it. Birds play among the trees, butterflies, and bees dance between flowers, the sun warmly shined on the waters, and the greenery and little critters play about unbothered. It was truly nature's work of art.

From the position of the window, they can see the lounge area of the platinum members adjacent to theirs. A walkway led from the manor to a gazebo perfectly placed in the shade of two trees.

The large structure was designed with a European flair - white and neutral tones dominated the furniture styles, whimsy thin curtains were tied back creating a fairytale look with the flower hedges surrounding the gazebo.

A path was created to access the lake where a a dock with three boats idly waited. There was another dock on the far side of the lake with a few things that weren't visible.

On the other side of the lake was only for platinum members. It will be their choice to mingle with the silver and gold card members on this side.

This made Young Master Gu envious. How much power does one need to be treated so exclusively?

"Huh?" A bit of movement caught his attention.

Neatly dressed workers were bustling back and forth at the Platinum side. The furniture was given a last clean, the decor was checked and the food was delivered. From the meticulous movements, it was clear a big shot was coming.

"I think a platinum member is about to arrive."

Young Master Gu's words triggered his friends. They rushed to his side to get a quick look. It was their luck that the windows were all one-sided. They can view outside but outside can't see them. They can openly peep at the big shots.

"It doesn't look like one person but many," someone commented after observing the attendants delivering more than three bottles of wine, a good number of non-alcoholic drinks, and four large food preservation containers.

"My father said there is no platinum member at Tiaxin. The privilege is only given by the owner and confirmed by the manager. Did the new owner issue a card?" Young Master Gu commented.

Yong Master Yao was also curious.

They were about to expand on the topic when a man in a casual business suit entered the frame, nervously checking his watch. He said a few words that led the small team into a frenzy before disappearing.

"What kind of God-level person is this? Can our experience be compared to that?" one of their friends said. This was on all of their minds. Who doesn't want to be flattered like this?

Li Yaqin wanted to be treated like that. Isn't it every girl's dream to live and be treated like a queen?

The group returned to their seats just as a new attendant entered. It was clear that they were of ordinary position by the name tag and polite actions. Those higher will have a respectable tone and not flattering.

"Where's the manager? You look like a worker for the lower class," Young Master Gu said with a deep frown.

-And you look like a ditched boy band member acting the role of an upstart. The attendant kept a pleasant smile on his face and didn't let his thoughts reveal on his face. "Tiaxinn apologizes but the upper-level staff will be unavailable for ten minutes. If you wish to wait for her return, you can do so. If not, I can organize your recreation for you. It is the guests' choice."

The words were polite but the discerning ears could hear the hidden mockery. Fortunately, Young Master Gu doesn't have that talent.

A few gave the attendant a look of warning before waiting on their friend's decision. After all, they were here on his invite. This was his courting field.

"Handle the things properly or else," Young Master Gu ordered. The high tone, the raised chin, and the arrogant look were all in line with the known first Young Master Gu. With this performance, he was showing off his status as the leader of their clique which is equivalent to his family's wealth and connections.

This was seen by Li Yaqin. It was one of the reasons why she 'reluctantly' agreed to come to this outing.

"Beauty Li, your choices will be my expense. Don't think about cost, you're here to enjoy yourself," Young Master Gu said cordially.

Li Yaqin gave him a thoughtful smile and voiced her thank you softly. The gentle demeanor pushed Master Gu further into the pit of infatuation.

The attendant took their requests diligently and left instructions on how to communicate with him when they were ready to leave the lounge. He didn't want to stay with these rich kids who looked more like ruffians than part of the elite society. His colleagues categorized them as spoiled bear children. They are the ones who would be living off their inheritance or family company dividends.

Spending time with them will give you a bad impression of rich folk.

"I really wanted to learn horse riding but I will stick with the equestrian show for now," one girl commented.

"Probably we can return for a weekend?....."

Young Master Gu found a way to keep Li Yaqin close while one or two of their friends left for their playtime. Talks shifted to people they knew in Nanjing and gossip they heard. Li Yaqin was asking questions about places for part-time jobs to give the illusion of an independent girl when a soft exclaim sounded.

"Qin Shao! Qin Shao is here. Look, Liu Shao is here also. All of them are here."

The remainder of the clique recognized the young masters and misses who were led to the outdoor lounge.

Young Master Yao glanced at his friend. It wasn't common for their two cliques to cross paths, but gunpowder can be smelt when they do. It all comes down to hierarchy.

"I recognize Sister Wei but who are the others?"

"I think you're missing the point. They are being escorted by two managers to the platinum lounge."

"....."

"Lucky bastards. This looks like a special outing."

"Why... did they practice this seating thing? Are they mimicking the Emperor's court? HAHAHA!"

"They're so full of themselves."

Li Yaqin's attention was already caught when the name Qin Shao was uttered. The Qin Family in Nanjing is known as an aristocratic family and has a hand in profitable companies that are well-known across China. The Liu family can be said on the same level as the Qins and as low-key as them.

She didn't know which one was Qin Shao or the Liu Clan's Firstborn but her eyes were dazzled by this group's public etiquette. The men showed the women to their seats before taking their own, leaving the two main seats vacant. Years of training were visible leaving a sense of discomfort to the onlookers.

Her eyes moved to the ladies who were being taken care of by the guys. Her eyes widen in recognition. She can spot this girl anyway with her eyes closed. No change of hairstyle or fashion can change her.

What is she doing here? How can she be in that spot? She's supposed to be a college student without the identity of the Su Clan Princess. Are the rumors wrong?

Jealousy flared in her eyes. Li Yaqin was finally being given the attention and flattery she wanted for a long time, only to be suppressed by Su Lian once again.

She glanced at Young Master Gu. He was handsome in his own right but he was suddenly eclipsed by the men on the other side of the window. Even the style of dress by these men overshadowed the men she accompanied.

Young Master Gu felt her gaze and put on a hapless smile. He too was waiting for her reaction towards the incomparable Qin Shao.

"What is it?" she asked softly, hiding her anxiety.

"I'm waiting for you. Do you want to go to the spa first? The day is wasting," he said in a coaxing tone.

Li Yaqin was relieved the guy didn't go crazy over Su Lian's looks and Young Master Gu was relieved he didn't lose to that pampered prince Qin.

"Ok."

The group notified the attendant that they were ready and dutifully ignored their nearby rivals. At this time, Young Master Yao spoke up.

"Brother Gu. Do you know those two?"

Both of them recognized five people in that large group but not the others. Those beauties didn't look like a rich family young lady, well one of them did.

Young Master Gu turned to look at the new arrival. "A bit familiar but I can't say where," he replied. He was confused because, by the posture of that guy, the two shouldn't cross paths. Where did he see that too-perfect face?

"It looks like he's the cardholder. Qin Shao and Liu Shao are lowering their heads to this guy. Who the fuck is this?" Young Master Yao exclaimed. They saw with their own eyes the two young masters who reigned over them, put away their arrogance, and talked to the newcomer with the utmost respect. The two along with their friends, pulled the kid beside the newcomer towards them with great familiarity.

What is this?

No one knows the attitude of the prestigious families better than them. They, also their parents have to bow their heads and flatter these people to get a piece of meat in this land. Seeing the acts of these two was a blow to their psyche.

Wasn't this guy the same age as them? This was unbelievable.

Li Yaqin on the other hand was filled with overflowing envy. The man on her companions' tongues sat on the main seat and it was Su Lian who was seated beside him. What threw her over the cliff was the blatant display of their relationship.

The man pulled her closer and wrapped his arm around her waist as she continued her talk with her friends. It was all natural. This guy is possibly wealthier than the other young masters around him. If he's a platinum cardholder doesn't that mean he has other enviable assets and wealth to match it?

Being a woman to that type of man is like winning the lottery every day. No worries about the little inheritance, no need to fight for family property, you don't even have to look for a job and you don't have to worry about daily expenses or shopping. You will be cared for indefinitely.

That Su Princess now has that.

Su Lian.

Su Lian.

Su Lian.

Where in heaven's name did she suffer after leaving home? It's no secret that she left home without her father's approval and ruined a business deal. Most girls who hated her laughed happily in their sleep when they heard the news of her father cutting her off.

A pampered princess off to college far away from home with no money- hilarious! It was pleasing to eyes and ears to know their rival suffering in a huge city.

But now, one of them was struck by her present lifestyle.

A silly idea took root in Li Yaqin's mind. She smoothly retrieved her phone and aimed the camera to take a photo of Su Lian being intimate with the young man but she was stopped before she took the perfect shot.

"Photos of guests besides your companions are strictly prohibited." The voice of the attendant was firm. This was a Gold-level attendant, her firm personality didn't match her angelic profile causing uncouth men to underestimate her.

"Why not?" Master Gu asked sharply.

The attendant stepped forward and blocked their view of the party next door.

" This has been highlighted in the updated policies at Tiaxin. Taking photos of the party next door is strictly prohibited not because they are Platinum guests but the status of one of the gentlemen."

"Status? Who is he?" Young Master Yao asked. He made a correct conjuncture on who the young lady was on.

The young man in the main seat.

They were all wondering the same thing.

The attendant lost her cold expression and a bright smile was seen in less than a second.

"He is Tiaxin's owner."
