Chapter 7: Chapter 7: .Restoration Potion

"What? Ash, are you serious? A potion that can restore half the stamina in pokemon up to advanced stage?"

Uncle Samuel couldn't help but shout after hearing Ash's explanation.

As you know, Pokémon potions are incredibly profitable when sold on the market. They are essentially a goldmine. Even the best standard potions currently available can only restore 30% of a Pokémon's stamina.

But what Ash had just described—a potion made with ordinary materials capable of restoring 50% of a Pokémon's stamina—was revolutionary. If such a potion became a reality, the Oak family would gain a significant economic advantage and a solid foundation in the market.

"I'm certain of it. The success rate for producing this potion is around 90%. However, I'm running low on materials. The reason I called is to ask Uncle Samuel to help me transport a batch of ingredients. I need them to continue my experiments and perfect the formula," Ash explained.

Hearing Ash's request and sensing his determination, Uncle Samuel immediately understood the urgency. Family progress relies heavily on resources, and resources often require financial backing to obtain.

"Alright, no problem, Ash. I'll get the materials ready right away. Within an hour—no, half an hour—I'll make sure the batch is delivered to you!" Uncle Samuel responded with urgency before hanging up the phone.

Uncle Samuel quickly ended the call and began getting dressed, preparing to gather the materials Ash needed without delay.

From his understanding of Ash, Uncle Samuel knew that Ash would never joke about something so important. Over the years, Dr. Oak had benefited greatly from Ash's insights, which had helped him streamline his research and avoid numerous pitfalls.

Dr. Oak often remarked that if Ash focused on a specific field of research, his achievements could one day surpass his own—it was only a matter of time.

"Honey, what's going on?"

Samuel's urgency while getting dressed had woken up his wife, Yuko Oak, who looked at him with concern.

"It's nothing, go back to sleep. Ash just called. He's found a way to use common materials to create a potion that can restore half of a pokemon stamina till the advanced Pokémon's stage!" Samuel replied, explaining the situation briefly.

Seeing his wife wake up, Masahira Oak briefly explained what had just happened.

"Is it true? If that's the case, the pharmacy industry of our Oak clan might finally rival the Joy family!" Yuko Oak exclaimed after hearing his words.

"Exactly, which is why I need to collect the materials quickly. Ash wants to put the theory into practice. After all, we need results to confirm his hypothesis," Samuel replied with evident excitement.

In the pharmaceutical industry, the Joy family is undeniably the leader, unmatched by any other. However, if Ash's formula proves successful, the Oak family could become a serious competitor, potentially standing shoulder to shoulder with the Joys in the realm of standard pharmaceuticals.

"Ash is truly a genius. To have acquired so much knowledge at such a young age is extraordinary. His future is incredibly bright—I envy Delia for having such a remarkable son!" Yuko Oak said with genuine admiration as she reflected on Ash's character as a child.

"You're absolutely right. Ash is the most talented individual I've ever encountered among his peers. If the Drago clan ever realizes Ash's potential, they'll undoubtedly regret their actions," Samuel responded, his tone carrying both pride and defiance. "The Oak bloodline may not boast perfection, but Ash's success will silence those two—John and Juny Drago—who once belittled us."

Samuel's words stemmed from the knowledge that Ash was aware of his family history. Despite knowing this, Ash remained largely indifferent to the Drago clan's attitude. However, he hadn't forgotten the pain they had inflicted on his mother, Delia, nor their rejection of him.

Although John Drago initially resisted the family's pressure and even considered taking in Delia, he ultimately abandoned Ash and Delia due to that same pressure. This betrayal left a deep wound in Ash's heart, a thorn that would never fully heal.

Ash had endured the emotional pain of abandonment. In his past life, he had grown up knowing he was an orphan. In this life, the anguish was even greater—having witnessed his own father turn his back on him and his mother. Such pain was far more complex than a mere one-to-one equation.

"Seeing how much Ash has accomplished, I think it's high time Gary reined himself in. All he does is waste time, and it frustrates me to no end. At his age, he should be focusing on meaningful goals, not chasing after shallow gold-diggers!" Samuel remarked with visible disappointment.

Though Gary excelled in theoretical studies, his practical performance left much to be desired—a stark contrast to Ash's exceptional progress. Samuel couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency and frustration about Gary's lack of direction.

"I'll talk to Gary. With Ash as an example, he won't be able to stay complacent for long!"

Hearing her husband's words, Yuko Oak nodded in agreement. After all, they had been far too lenient with Gary in recent years.

"Ash, is what you said true? If such a potion exists, our Oak family will have a significant advantage in the economy!"

Meanwhile, at the Oak Research Institute, Professor Oak was listening to Ash's research with great excitement.

"Yes, I'm confident there's a 90% chance it can be successfully produced. And as for the cost, I don't think it will be higher than the stamina recovery potions currently on the market," Ash replied confidently to Professor Oak.

---

About forty minutes later, a helicopter landed in the backyard of the Oak Research Institute in Pallet Town. Samuel Oak had personally ensured the materials were delivered, with an assistant unloading the medicinal supplies from the rear cabin into the lab.

"Ash, take a look and see if these are the materials you need!"

Upon entering the research lab, Samuel addressed Ash. At the same time, he scrutinized the young trainer with admiration.

With his championship-level expertise, Samuel could discern Ash's current level as a trainer. At only seven years old, Ash had already reached the top of the elite tier—a rare accomplishment.

Ash's calm, rational approach to challenges further convinced Samuel of the potion's success.

"These materials are perfect, but there's just too much of them! I'm working alone here. I only planned to use a small batch for experiments this time," Ash said, glancing at the piles of packages, a faint twitch on his lips.

"Haha! Don't worry about it. Better to have too much than too little. Use as much as you need!" Samuel replied with a hearty laugh.

"Fine. Give me some time—I'll start refining the potion now. It should take around half an hour," Ash said before selecting the necessary ingredients and heading into the research room.

This lab was Ash's personal research space, specially built for him by Professor Oak. It was here that Ash conducted most of his studies and training.

The room reflected the young prodigy's dedication to his craft, a blend of advanced equipment and carefully organized resources that showed just how far Ash had come at such a young age.
