The Strongest Assassin of the Zoldyck Family!

Chapter 263: Chapter 263

"That's already not bad."

"If someone's never adapted to it before, having triple the gravity would be extremely difficult to endure. Moves they can normally make might completely fall apart under three times gravity."

Ron issued a command.

"Smack!"

Baki clapped both hands together.

"Position Swap!"

Baki and Akutagawa instantly switched places.

Killer Queen staggered.

Unable to adjust to the sudden gravity shift, Killer Queen faltered momentarily.

Right then, Akutagawa's attack struck.

The gravity on Killer Queen's body began to weaken.

"Down to two-thirds… then half…"

"For the moment, it tops out at one-third."

Observing Killer Queen's reaction, Ron's brow rose slightly.

"Compared to gravity getting heavier, the change when gravity gets lighter seems even harder for Killer Queen to handle."

"It's more difficult to adapt to."

"Still, when used in moderation, weaker gravity isn't without its advantages."

"If I had Akutagawa use gravity reduction on me, I'd gain even more speed."

Suddenly, Ron realized something.

"That's right—both the gravity increase and decrease can be used in regular training."

"It'd be even more effective than just putting on extra weights."

"But constant gravity increase isn't suitable for me right now."

"I'm still growing; using enhanced gravity too often would affect my body's natural development—wouldn't be good for my bones." (t/N: Did you know that there are studies now that say weight training when you are a child would not have adverse effects? )

After studying it for a while, Ron left the room and headed to the training field.

Meanwhile, Wendy was still in another room.

Ron took Miste to the Dragon Dojo's dining hall for dinner.

"This trip to the Fiora Kingdom has been fairly productive."

"With such deep reserves, after I absorb Fiora's traits and fuse them with my memories, I should be able to create an excellent Nen Beast."

"I'm looking forward to it."

---

"The Essence of the Observer is now at fifty percent."

"Exactly half."

"Once I visit the Beast Dojo and the Star Dojo, that should reach seventy percent."

**At the Training Field…**

Wendy looked at Ron.

"Ron, want to have a quick spar?"

"Sure."

Coincidentally, Ron also wanted to test how much stronger Akutagawa and Baki had become after their evolution. He'd made some estimates, but actual combat would make things clearer.

He was also curious about what Wendy had gained in the Land of Nirvana.

Not far away, Miste was following the training plan Ron gave her. She was in "robot mode," not even glancing at Ron or Wendy.

"All right, let's begin."

At Ron's command, two figures appeared.

Wendy, meanwhile, raised both hands. Two clusters of aura formed in her palms.

Next instant—

Boom!

A mass of flames materialized in Wendy's hand. She hurled it toward Ron, and as the fire traveled, it rapidly swelled—starting from the size of a fist and growing to the scale of a small house, threatening to engulf Ron entirely.

At the same time, a whirlwind descended upon the flames, setting them spinning.

Wind feeds fire.

That made Wendy's attack frighteningly strong; most Nen users wouldn't be able to stand against it.

"So she gained a flame-type ability—perfectly complements Wendy's wind. This doesn't seem like a mere addition of her powers but rather a multiplication of it."

Ron could plainly sense the attack's power.

Akutagawa stepped forward.

"Absorption!"

Several dark red claws emerged, blocking the front. But such defense against fire wasn't particularly effective. Ron, however, only needed Akutagawa to buy him a moment.

Ron himself moved away at high speed.

By the time the flames landed, he was no longer standing there.

Wendy's attack resembled a Nen projectile of the Emission category—powerful, but the key issue is whether it can hit. It's like an ordinary person with a gun versus a Nen user: not all Nen users are strong enough to shrug off bullets or rockets like Uvogin, but even weaker Nen users often won't be hit. They can predict the shooter's aim and dodge in advance.

A bullet travels fast, yes, but a Nen user doesn't have to move faster than the bullet—only react faster than the one pulling the trigger.

Baki charged at Wendy, unleashing a barrage of blows.

Wendy suddenly felt something was off.

"Why is my body getting heavier and heavier?"

She quickly put two and two together as she eyed Baki.

"That's Ron's Nen Beast, but it looks different now."

"So that must be what Ron gained in the Land of Nirvana?"

Wendy activated a gust around herself to reduce the effect of the increased gravity. But as it intensified further, her movements were still hindered.

Baki's attacks came faster and faster.

Wendy's eyes flashed.

A swirl of wind formed beneath her, and she slashed a wind blade at Baki.

Taking advantage of the moment he spent defending, she slipped into the air.

Baki clapped both hands.

In a flash, Baki and Akutagawa swapped places.

The amplified gravity weighing on Wendy vanished.

But she'd been constantly using her aura to counter the extra gravity, so she reacted too slowly. Her body shot upward, nearly slamming into the training hall ceiling.

"Absorption!"

Dark red claws slashed at Wendy.

Now gravity weakened, and Wendy lost her balance again.

Even with aerial mobility, she couldn't launch many proper attacks at Ron. The constant changes in gravity made it too hard for her to adapt.

"Smack!"

Baki clapped both hands again.

He and Akutagawa switched places once more, changing Wendy's gravity situation again.

She suddenly plummeted downward.

Baki lunged up with a mighty leap, meeting her halfway and swinging a fierce punch.

"Boom!"

It struck the air shield Wendy had formed around herself.

A deafening shockwave rang out.

She was knocked back hard into the wall, finally stopping there.

Thanks to the air shield, she took no real damage. But Baki rushed over again at top speed.
