Chapter 373: Destroying Their Base, And Seeking Help
It didn't take long for Neraxis to reappear, as he soon overlooked the ocean. Of course, this was the same location where he had encountered the Eternal Sin last time.
Yet as he glanced down, he couldn't help but feel an uneasy feeling welling up inside his chest. Despite that, he felt the members of the Eternal Night running around, some even fighting or sparring.
This was definitely their headquarters, so without wasting another moment, Neraxis focused and created one construct in particular.
<1x Blood Construct Summoned! Type: Utility—Giant Sun Nuke>
It took 10% of his blood to create, and it was not small by any means. In fact, the nuke was the size of a truck.
Neraxis took a deep breath and reinforced the nuke before finally setting up a giant blood barrier in a 1-kilometer radius. He didn't want to destroy the planet by accident, so condensing a nuke in a 1-kilometer radius was best.
So right after Neraxis was finished, he simply flicked his fingers, dropping the nuke down.
It fell into the water and continued heading downward. That was until Neraxis felt as if it hit something. And of course, that something was none other than the headquarters of the Eternal Night.
Noticing that it had reached its mark, Neraxis hummed in satisfaction and flew outside the blood barrier, then reinforced it.
And in the very next moment, he detonated the nuke.
A dull noise rang out, but it was soon followed by a geyser-like stream of water shooting into the sky and hitting his blood barrier.
And that was when the sound finally came.
—BOOOOOOOOOM
His ears rang as he felt the mana in the air distort. A portion of his blood barrier was eroded, but before it could get too bad, Neraxis proceeded to reinforce it, containing the explosion as best as he could.
The surrounding water became radioactive, so Neraxis used a majority of his blood to separate it. He created multiple barriers and pushed the non-radioactive water as far away as he could.
He needed to use much more strength than he anticipated, but even so, as the minutes passed and the explosion began to die down, he finally let out a relieved breath.
The entire area was decimated, and the water was either gone or boiling, turning to magma.
He could see multiple swords and weapons scattered around, yet there was not a single body in sight.
But there was still one thing that was present despite all the destruction, and that was the coffin.
A frown appeared on Neraxis's face as he flew down and landed in front of the coffin.
He could feel a person inside, but since he didn't want to test his luck, he simply used his Primordial Presence perk, then used the Destruction affinity.
A slight pulse left his palm, and the moment it did, it was almost like the coffin was erased from existence. Or rather, a chunk of it at least.
Neraxis made sure to destroy all the way up to where the figure's head would be. And just as he thought, the one inside the coffin was not Lagus.
I guess he caught on. That's what happens when he sits around my mind for such a long time... Neraxis thought with a sigh.
It was only natural Lagus had picked up on his plan even before Neraxis entered Dreamspire.
And while he didn't know how Lagus's powers worked exactly, it was only natural to assume he knew what Neraxis had been plotting all this time.
Nonetheless, Neraxis proceeded to fly around, using his Destruction powers on everything he could. Both the water and the ground weren't spared.
And he was only done after it had turned dark.
The water in a 5-kilometer radius was completely destroyed, and he made sure none of the radiation remained.
As for the ground? He destroyed a giant chunk of it, and once he was finally done and released the blood barriers, the water from outside the barrier began pouring back in, filling up the area with water.
In the end, he had slightly lowered the water level of this ocean, but it was fine. If he accidentally fucked up this world, he'd just move to a new one.
Now then... onto creating a system. But how does that even work exactly? Do I need a new world? Neraxis wondered, puzzled. Hey, Evangeline. I know you might be a little busy now, but do you have any idea how—
[Nope.] She cut him off. [All this system-creating and world-hopping stuff is making my brain hurt. I can help you in other ways, but definitely not in this one. But I do wish you get it all figured out soon so we can do it already. Also, even if you missed Aella's birthday, her next birthday is coming up in a month, so if you're planning on coming back, then that's the perfect time.]
Wait, so what did you tell the girls that made them want to help you? Neraxis asked.
[Well... I just told them you needed help, and they kind of... yeah, they just offered to help after that,] Evangeline replied shyly. [Anyways, gotta go. I think I found one of the things we're looking for. I'll keep you up to date after I check it out with the others. See ya.]
With that, Evangeline went back to her searching, and as for Neraxis, he did the same.
Since he didn't know where to start, he'd contact the usual people, yet instead of calling them over the phone, Neraxis simply teleported to them.
Immediately, he reappeared in front of a giant castle, and of course, this castle was none other than the Obscura's headquarters.
It seemed dead as usual, but he could feel everyone inside. Especially Delta who, upon noticing his arrival, immediately appeared in front of him, a conflicted look on her face.
"So you know where we live now..." Delta muttered. "Did you...?"
Neraxis shook his head. "I removed him from my mind, but I can assure you, he's far from dead."
He looked her up and down and tried his best not to bring up the past. After all, from the memory he recalled, he saw her trying to kill him when he was a child.
I'll just put that on the burner for now... instead...
"Hey... this might be a stupid question, but how do I create my own system?"
