Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Another energetic day had begun.
Kihana Sakiya hopped into the classroom early in the morning, full of energy.
The first thing she saw?
Naruto and Sasuke in yet another fight.
She had no idea what sparked it this time, but that didn't matter—watching the drama unfold was entertainment enough.
Of course, the difference in their support teams was stark.
All the girls in class were cheering for Sasuke.
Naruto? He was cheering for himself.
But, as usual, he didn't seem to care.
The two were locked in a fierce taijutsu battle.
As expected, Sasuke got the upper hand and knocked Naruto down.
But Naruto, being Naruto, bounced right back up.
Again and again, they exchanged blows—both landing hits, both refusing to stay down.
Soon, both of them were covered in bruises, their faces sporting identical panda-eye bruises.
Sakiya, of course, didn't just sit and watch.
She grabbed a piece of chalk and started drawing intricate symbols across the classroom floor.
She also set up a few makeshift props—some hidden firecrackers, some paper decorations.
All for the perfect moment.
Naturally, all this noise drew Iruka's attention.
He rushed into the classroom, only to freeze in confusion when he saw Sakiya standing triumphantly atop a few stacked stools.
None of the students noticed her at first.
Naruto and Sasuke were too focused on their fight—separating briefly before preparing to charge at each other again.
Sakiya's eyes gleamed.
Now!
She tossed a handful of flower petals into the air and leaped down dramatically.
"STOP THIS AT ONCE!"
Naruto and Sasuke froze.
They turned to see Sakiya descending like some kind of ethereal figure, petals drifting around her as if caught in an invisible breeze.
They were speechless.
The rest of the class?
Also speechless.
But the moment they recognized who it was, they immediately understood.
It's just Sakiya being Sakiya again.
Still, some of them couldn't help but feel a little jealous.
That was… pretty cool.
Sasuke frowned but stayed quiet.
Naruto, however, grinned.
"Sakiya-chan! Are you here to help me?!"
Sakiya ignored him.
Instead, she raised a hand to her face with a solemn expression.
Then, in one swift motion, she lifted the blindfold covering her left eye.
"The Eye of Death… has AWAKENED!"
BOOM!
A dazzling flash of light burst through the room.
The sudden brightness made everyone flinch and shield their eyes.
When they looked again, a glowing, intricate magic circle had appeared beneath their feet.
Gasps erupted across the classroom.
"Wha—?! Is this real?!"
A certain fanboy's eyes sparkled with admiration.
"Whoa whoa whoa! This is incredible! As expected of Sakiya-chan!"
Sakiya grinned, her confidence soaring.
With a smug smirk, she pointed dramatically at Sasuke.
"Hmph! Dark Knight, you cannot allow yourself to bully the weak! My Eye of Death has absorbed your darkness!"
Sasuke didn't react, but Sakiya pressed on, her tone growing serious.
"Next time, you must control your dark power. If you let it consume you, terrible things will happen. Do you understand?"
Her words struck Naruto like an arrow straight to the heart.
The word weak echoed in his mind.
His cheerful expression faltered.
For the first time that morning, he had nothing to say.
Sasuke turned his attention to Sakiya as she spoke.
For a brief moment, he saw his reflection in her eyes—his own face twisted with rage, a violent aura radiating from him like an untamed beast.
His gaze dropped to his hands, still smeared with Naruto's blood.
After a pause, he clenched his fists, his expression hardening. Without another word, he turned and walked away, his voice low and cold.
"Weakness… is a sin."
The class instinctively parted to let him pass, his presence sending a chill through the room.
Head down, fists clenched, Sasuke moved forward—until he found his path blocked.
His temper flared.
Who dares—
But as he lifted his eyes, he froze.
Standing in his way was Iruka-sensei.
Sasuke's mouth opened, but no words came out.
Iruka, usually so warm and approachable, now seemed almost… menacing.
A dark aura surrounded him, thick and heavy like an unseen weight pressing down. A looming shadow, barely visible, pulsed behind him, exuding silent authority.
Sasuke felt his body tense involuntarily, cold sweat forming on his brow.
Iruka's eyes glowed faintly red as he spoke, his voice slow and deliberate.
"Sasuke… where do you think you're going?"
Sasuke's breath hitched.
He wanted to move, to escape, but his limbs felt like they were made of stone.
Sakiya, sensing the shift in atmosphere, attempted to slip away, carefully backing toward the edge of the group.
But then—
A sharp gaze locked onto her.
A flash of red.
"And where do you think you're going, Sakiya?"
The students near her quickly stepped aside, leaving her fully exposed.
Sakiya barely had time to react before Iruka closed the distance, his presence overwhelming.
Like a startled rabbit, she stiffened, hands trembling at her sides.
It was as if an invisible force had pinned her in place, her breath catching in her throat.
And then—
With a single movement—
Iruka grabbed Sasuke with one hand.
Sakiya with the other.
And with the calmest, most terrifying smile—
He dragged them both inside.
---
Ten minutes later.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakiya knelt on the floor, heads lowered, as Iruka launched into a passionate lecture about the Ninja Code and the importance of discipline.
Naruto and Sasuke each sported matching, painful-looking lumps on their heads.
Sakiya, on the other hand, had miraculously avoided physical punishment—though silent tears trailed down her cheeks.
Or at least, that's what it looked like.
In truth, Sakiya wasn't crying at all.
Her mind was elsewhere—replaying her dramatic entrance, analyzing every detail, already planning how to make the next one even grander.
Iruka, meanwhile, was suffering a massive headache.
He had always struggled with Naruto's antics—his endless energy, his refusal to take lessons seriously. Iruka had long since come to terms with Naruto's connection to the Nine-Tails and had made it his mission to guide him properly.
But now?
Now he had three headaches instead of one.
Sasuke, once an aloof but diligent student, had turned into a ticking time bomb—constantly on edge, simmering with an anger Iruka understood all too well.
His behavior needed to be addressed. But considering everything he had just endured, Iruka also knew that pushing too hard might only make things worse.
Naruto, as expected, wasn't listening.
At all.
He nodded and smiled when necessary but wasn't absorbing a single word—his attention frequently drifting toward Sakiya, a dumb grin on his face.
Iruka sighed.
And then… there was Sakiya.
Despite her eccentric nature, she had technically tried to stop the fight.
Technically.
But her methods?
An absolute disaster.
The classroom was a mess.
Her antics had only escalated the situation.
And she clearly had no remorse whatsoever.
Iruka decided on a punishment.
Cleaning duty.
For several days.
Perhaps scrubbing floors and organizing supplies would give her some perspective.
(Though deep down, he suspected she would just turn it into another theatrical performance.)
But the biggest issue?
None of them were actually listening.
Sasuke was consumed with thoughts of revenge.
Naruto was too busy sulking about being called weak.
Sakiya was busy replaying her own dramatic highlights.
And as for Iruka…
He was just so, so tired.
Iruka, seeing that his lecture had run its course, finally gave his verdict.
"Naruto! Sasuke! Copy the Ninja Code fifty times and hand it in by the end of the week!"
Naruto's eyes widened in horror.
"Fifty times?! Sensei, come on—"
Iruka shot him a look.
Naruto immediately shut his mouth.
Sasuke, as expected, remained expressionless. He had no interest in arguing, nor did he care about the punishment.
Finally, Iruka turned to Sakiya.
"Sakiya!"
She flinched at the sound of her name.
Noticing her reaction, Iruka sighed, softening his tone.
"You'll clean up the classroom. And as punishment for your... creativity, you'll be on cleaning duty for three days. Does that sound fair?"
Sakiya lowered her head, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Mmm..."
Even Iruka had to strain to hear it.
But he was used to her antics. He had prepared an entire speech about responsibility, but seeing her looking so pitiful, he let it go.
That was enough.
With the verdict delivered, peace returned to the classroom—aside from Naruto and Sasuke sulking over their assignments and Sakiya shuffling around with a broom.
Naruto scribbled furiously, his handwriting so illegible that even he probably couldn't read it.
Sasuke, on the other hand, copied with practiced efficiency, his cold demeanor unchanged.
The Ninja Code was long. Fifty times would take hours.
But the real spectacle?
Sakiya's cleanup.
The students watched, amazed as she casually swept up the remnants of her latest stunt—a mix of burnt-out firecrackers and scattered flower petals.
Where does she even get this stuff?
And then, to their shock, she started collecting tiny string lights that had been carefully arranged around the room.
That's when they realized—
The "magic circle" effect from earlier?
It was just lights.
They had assumed it was some kind of ninja trick. But no—it was basic technology cleverly disguised.
The students were intrigued but not overly impressed. Most of them knew little about electricity, and even those who did didn't think much of it.
Even Iruka, who had a basic understanding of how things worked, just shook his head.
"That girl is always inventing something."
But in reality?
What Sakiya was doing—applying electrical technology in a world dominated by chakra—was practically cutting-edge science.
She just didn't see it that way.
To her, it was just something she had picked up from her past life—back when she was a 996 engineering student, drowning in deadlines and experiments.
Chakra was powerful, yes. But in her eyes, it wasn't just an energy source for combat. If used correctly, it could be a bridge between magic and science.
Her glowing eye technique?
Just another small application of chakra-enhanced optics.
She was convinced that, if combined properly, chakra and technology could create a civilization far beyond what this world had ever seen.
But before she could lose herself in those thoughts—
Knock, knock.
A sharp tapping on the desk snapped her back to reality.
She looked up—
And found Ino staring at her, arms crossed.
Sakiya blinked.
"Huh?"
Ino narrowed her eyes.
"You were zoning out again, weren't you?"
Sakiya nodded, completely unfazed.
With a sigh, Ino pointed at the board.
"Did you even listen to the assignment?"
Sakiya glanced at the blackboard. Then back at Ino.
"...Nope."
Not a hint of shame.
Ino groaned.
"I swear, why am I even sitting next to you?"
Still grumbling, she shoved her notebook toward Sakiya.
"Here. Just copy mine."
Sakiya eyed the neatly written notes, then smirked.
"As expected of my first magician."
Silence.
Slowly—too slowly—the students turned to look at Ino.
Ino's face paled.
Sakiya froze.
Crap.
She had said it out loud.
In front of everyone.
Ino's clenched fists trembled.
Sakiya swallowed.
"Uh—magic! I meant magic! I was wrong!"
But it was too late.
A deep, guttural scream erupted from Ino.
"SAKIYA!!!"
Sakiya panicked.
"WAIT! INO, NO—!"
Her cries echoed through the halls.
Back in the teacher's office, Iruka heard the commotion.
He chuckled, shaking his head.
"Oh, Sakiya..."
