The Second Girls journey in Naruto

Chapter 20: Chapter 19: Dimensional Rift

Sakiya's performance was impressive, but she wasn't exactly a team player.

This wasn't unusual for Konoha.

Teamwork was important, but truly exceptional shinobi—those who stood out—often walked a lonely path.

Chihiro understood this well. A certain white-haired figure, always wearing a mask, flashed through her mind. For just a moment, a trace of loneliness flickered in her eyes.

Sakiya, with her sharp instincts, caught it immediately.

Chihiro turned to her and spoke gently.

"You're skilled, Sakiya. But if you rely only on your own abilities, you might end up in a one-person team."

A single-person team was a rare designation, reserved only for elite shinobi—like the famed White Fang of Konoha or Uchiha Itachi, who had joined Anbu and carried out missions alone at a young age.

Sakiya placed a finger on her temple, deep in thought.

"My Eye of Death is powerful, but if the Death Pact is to thrive, I need more members."

Her meaning was clear.

Chihiro chuckled, then glanced toward the bushes where Sakuragi and Tsuchiya were hiding.

"You two can stop pretending now. Come out."

Sakuragi and Tsuchiya stiffened. They had been discovered.

With no other choice, they awkwardly stepped out from the grass.

Chihiro crossed her arms, looking at them in exasperation.

"Enjoying the show?"

Tsuchiya, without thinking, answered honestly.

"Yeah, it was great—"

Then he realized his mistake.

"Wait! No, no, it was terrible!"

Chihiro sighed, shaking her head.

"I had some expectations for you two. But now? I'm just disappointed."

Their faces paled.

"As things stand, I can only give you a failing grade."

Panic set in.

"But," Chihiro continued, "Sakiya made a good point, so I'll give you one last chance."

Sakuragi and Tsuchiya nodded frantically.

"In half an hour, I'll launch a full-scale attack against you. Your only hope is to team up with Sakiya and fight me together."

"Whether you pass or fail depends entirely on your performance."

With that, Chihiro gave Sakiya a knowing glance before vanishing into the trees, leaving only a dark blur in her wake.

Sakuragi and Tsuchiya exchanged looks, both uncertain.

Silence lingered.

Finally, Sakuragi spoke, his voice laced with resignation.

"Hey, Tsuchiya..."

"Huh?"

"We don't have a choice."

Tsuchiya let out a long sigh, nodding in defeat.

"Yeah... Let's do it."

"Alright!"

With a newfound determination, Sakuragi and Tsuchiya turned toward Sakiya.

She raised an eyebrow, suspicious.

Then, without warning—

They dropped to their knees and bowed deeply.

"BIG SISTER, PLEASE LEAD US!"

Their voices rang loud and clear, cutting through the air.

Silence followed.

One second...

Two seconds...

Thirty seconds…

The atmosphere grew increasingly awkward.

The two still hadn't gotten up, their faces drenched in sweat.

Sakiya looked calm on the surface, but inside, she was struggling to hold back laughter.

That was why this awkward silence had lasted so long.

Finally, Sakiya exhaled and raised an eyebrow at the two boys.

"Alright... you're now peripheral members of the Death Pact."

Tsukigami and Sakuragi looked up in disbelief.

"Peripheral members only?"

Sakiya nodded seriously.

"The Death Pact is destined to be the strongest organization across infinite dimensions. Even peripheral members are powerful."

The two exchanged glances before gritting their teeth and nodding.

"Peripheral it is!"

"Yeah! I don't mind!"

Sakiya reached into her pocket and pulled out two green medals, each inscribed with strange symbols. At the center was a peculiar eye, surrounded by intricate circles and unreadable text.

"Here. These are your identification tokens."

She smirked. "Also, from now on, call me by my codename—Lord Death Destroyer!"

Sakuragi and Tsuchiya froze. Their expressions twitched.

But after a painful pause, they clenched their fists and forced themselves to respond.

"Yes… Lord Death Destroyer."

Meanwhile, Chihiro, who had been observing from the trees, couldn't hold back any longer.

She doubled over, clutching her stomach as she burst into laughter.

"I can't… I can't take it anymore! This is going to be hilarious!"

And so, Sakiya bestowed upon Tsuchiya and Sakuragi their new codenames—ones that would haunt them forever.

Tsuchiya Tsukigami: "The Great Dimensional Traveler."

Sakuragi: "The Last Demon."

Then came a long-winded explanation of the many rules of the Death Pact.

"In infinite dimensions, real names must never be exchanged!"

Sakuragi and Tsuchiya blinked.

"Why, though?"

Neither of them could see the point.

Sakiya's relentless theatrics made them question their own existence. Their dignity had been torn apart, deep-fried, and served on a platter.

By the time she was finished, they had accepted their fate.

They had adapted completely—at the cost of abandoning their shame.

Now, they were nothing more than empty husks.

Walking corpses.

After about ten minutes, Sakiya finally gathered them to strategize for their upcoming battle against Chihiro.

By this point, their nerves had settled somewhat.

Though, the battle plan itself…

Half an hour later.

Chihiro suddenly reappeared in a flicker, her presence sharp and commanding.

She flashed a confident smile.

"Are you ready?"

"Ready!"

"Ms. Chihiro, leave it to us!"

"The Eye of Death is unstoppable!"

Chihiro didn't waste words. She rushed forward, blade in hand.

Sakiya was already prepared.

She swiftly formed a seal and slammed her hands onto the ground.

"Water Style: Thousand-Faced Curtain!"

A massive water veil erupted, obscuring Chihiro's vision.

Her eyes narrowed.

(This time, I won't fall for it again!)

Shuriken and kunai rained down from behind the water screen.

Chihiro gripped her sword tightly.

Konoha-Style—Gale Dance!

She slashed in a rapid flurry, forming a dense web of blade shadows in front of her.

Each projectile was instantly deflected.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, Tsuchiya burst from the water screen behind her.

Chihiro reacted immediately, raising her sword to strike—

"Earth Style: Mountain's Edge Collapse!"

Sakuragi's sudden shout put her on high alert.

Before she could react, the ground beneath her feet shifted—

A small mound erupted, throwing her off balance.

Tsuchiya had already formed his next hand sign.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

A massive fireball hurtled toward Chihiro.

Boom!

Flames exploded, scorching the battlefield.

For a moment, there was silence.

Then—

Poof!

A cloud of smoke.

A substitution.

Clapping sounds echoed from the grove.

Chihiro stepped out, clapping her hands.

"Nicely done. You took down my shadow clone so quickly."

Sakuragi and Tsuchiya blinked.

"Wait... that was a clone?!"

"I thought we actually took you down!"

Chihiro rolled her eyes.

"If I were that easy to kill, then being a shinobi would be pointless."

Tsuchiya scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

Sakuragi adjusted his glasses, deep in thought.

Chihiro gave them an approving nod.

"Good job. You pass."

A wave of relief washed over them.

But their joy was short-lived.

Sakiya clapped her hands.

"Well done, Great Dimensional Traveler and Last Demon!"

Their faces fell.

Tsuchiya slung an arm over Sakuragi's shoulder.

"Hey, Sakuragi…"

"Yeah?"

"Was it worth it?"

Sakuragi lowered his head, silent for a long moment.

"...I don't know."

"But…"

"I want to die."

Tsuchiya sighed dramatically.

"Then dig another hole, because I'm coming with you."

"..."
