The Second Chance of Reincarnator

Chapter 72: London Town

With cold sweat pouring down his back, Kael left the memory with a heavy breath as he felt like he lived that moment just now.

He saw the Society of Knowers looking at him with curious looks as if they wanted to know what the memory crystal was about.

"It's just an old memory of Lord of the Realm Between talking with some war veterans the night before the Savage Mercy raid. Do you guys know anything about that?"

Kael asked.

"Savage Mercy raid… That must've happened in the early days of the Fifth Aeon."

Melia said.

"I know about it."

Rune said from behind the metal helmet, as he was somewhat of a historian and had read about the raid in his studies.

"The ravens of the Gods discovered Savage Mercy doing something back in the First Battlefield, and they quickly gathered a raid party to go investigate.

"In the end, they discovered Savage Mercy over there—all alone—it seemed to be an easy kill…

"I didn't think that anyone survived that day, as Savage Mercy slaughtered every single one there.

"I never thought that the Lord of the Realm Between participated in that raid, but I have never heard that there was a survivor."

Rune said.

'I was also able to hear the Lord of the Realm Between's emotions during that talk. He was afraid.

'He was pretending to be brave and calm. He was acting as an Outlaw. But he was terrified of death, as if he was about to piss his pants right here and there.'

Kael wryly smiled.

While the Society of Knowers held the Lord of the Realm Between in high esteem, as did everyone else apparently, they might not know the real Lord of the Realm Between.

'If I were Lord of the Realm Between, I might've been the biggest coward ever. He probably ran away during the raid of Savage Mercy!'

Kael thought, but he didn't dare to say it to the Society of Knowers, as they were idolizing him.

He also didn't know enough about him yet, and since he had already used all three memory crystals, he had to start finding more of them.

From what he knew, there were memory crystals even in Whitesky, so he could start his search from there.

The meeting shortly came to an end. It had already been over an hour since they came to the Realm Between, and they had lives to return to.

Thus, they returned to the misty graveyard, entered the stone gateway, and returned back to the Whitesky.

Whitesky, London Town.

In front of an unchained door, the mayor of London Town and his family members were kneeling and trembling like scared little kittens.

"Heh~"

Behind them, with a wicked grin, stood a pale-skinned Rav'akari with a nailed stick in hand and pure malice in his eyes.

At that moment, the unchained door opened, and through it came a group of Rav'akari, and when the London Town's mayor saw them, he thought it was the end of the world.

Rav'akari had already been in control of London Town for several weeks, and the royals and nobles of the main cities had no idea.

Not even the Guild and the Ten Gods had any idea that the London Town, which was pretty close to the Ants Village and Kornacis, was under the Rav'akari.

They had been using this gateway lately to get deep into the human territory to kidnap and kill Blessed Ones.

Lastly, through the unchained gate, a handsome black-haired figure stepped through with his skin that was as white as milk and his eyes as black as the night.

"Lord Nefarious…"

The mayor of the London Town whispered under his trembling lips.

"Fat man."

Nefarious said, stomped on the mayor's head, and made him taste the stones under their feet that were dirty with dust and grime.

"You've kept your fat mouth shut, yes?"

He asked.

"O-Of course, I have. I-I have not spoken to a soul!"

The mayor said with tears threatening to fall out of his eyes, and his wife and daughter were looking at the scene with great fear.

When the Rav'akari looked at the two beautiful women, they felt like they were being eyed as if they were candy to be devoured.

If they weren't obviously wearing clothes, they would think that they were naked.

"How's it been?"

Nefarious asked the Rav'akari, who had stayed in the London Town as the watchman, to make sure that the mayor, his family, and townspeople wouldn't do anything foolish.

"A few tourists have come, but we took care of them, and they became good entertainment for me~"

Rav'akari said with an ugly laugh.

"Don't make too many disappear. If it happens too often, people will come looking for them, and they'll discover us."

Nefarious said coldly.

Rav'akari nodded.

"Get me a carriage ready."

He said coldly at the mayor, who nodded like a chicken pecking for corn, and headed out.

His family tried following, but one of the Rav'akari grabbed the arm of the daughter and grinned malevolently.

"Why are you leaving? Why don't we have some fun?"

The daughter paled and wanted to cry and run away, but she knew if she did, her family would get killed.

As she was about to take off her dress, Nefarious stepped past them and said coldly.

"We don't have time for that. If you make me wait for you, I will kill you."

He said coldly.

"Ah…"

Rav'akari paled even further, making his already pale skin look even more ghostly, if that was possible.

They ignored the daughter and followed after Nefarious.

Nefarious left the cellar of the building and arrived at the street where the townspeople were walking by with frightened looks on their faces.

They had been living in fear ever since the arrival of Rav'akari here, and they thought that as long they kept quiet and looked away, they would be left alone.

Nefarious, and the Rav'akari boarded a carriage, and the horse clopped out of the town to enter the dirt road.

"Where are we going, my lord?"

Rav'akari asked from the driver's seat.

"…Dark Jewel's Corner."

Nefarious said coldly.
