The Second Chance of Reincarnator

Chapter 69: The Way To Use Mirror

"You can look at anything that you want with this mirror?"

Kael asked.

"Yep, but there are some powerful Mystics that can block us from seeing anything."

Melia said.

"Do they know if we're looking at them?"

Kael asked in curiosity.

"No, but those with honed senses might be able to feel our presence, but that's pretty much it."

Rabbit, Alec Veyne said from behind the rabbit mask.

With her hand, Morgana touched the clear Peeking Mirror, and the mirror fogged up until it showed Kornacis with its smoggy skies, smoking factories, and soot-stained streets.

Kornacis looked darker than most cities—it's because of the Smog Skies—which were currently blocking the crimson moonlight of the crimson moon.

It's revolutionized the city.

The Gods of Whitesky handed that city over to the humans of Earth for them to harvest, mine, and process the ores and other valuable materials they find from the soil of Whitesky.

Thus, the city had transformed into what was shown in the mirror, as a more advanced than other cities with smoky streets, crowded markets, and soot-covered buildings.

It was also the birthplace of the steam locomotives that revolutionized transportation. The Gods gave permission to create such a thing to ease the transportation of goods from the mines of Dark Jewel's Corner and other places.

In the end, it started to be used as a means of passenger travel as well, and Earthlings also suggested to create cars, but that was shot down by the Gods.

"I've heard some rumors in Kornacis about quite interesting developments in the Harwest family."

Morgana said, zoomed in the mirror, and went all across the city of Kornacis until she arrived at a black brick building by Sedame Street.

Everyone leaned close to look, and the mirror zoomed through a dirty window, went across the dark hallways, arrived in the master bedroom, and went straight through the door.

The mirror showed a dark bedroom—it looked like a really wealthy family lived here—and there was a woman sleeping in the bed in only her nightgown.

'They really don't care about the concept of privacy.'

Kael thought with a wry smile.

"He is not here… The head of the Harwest family, Otto Harwest."

Morgana said with a curious look, then moved elsewhere with the mirror and went to the cellar of the black brick building.

It was dark in the cellar, but at the back, there were some candles flickering dimly, illuminating a large wooden crate.

On top of the large wooden crate, there was a sweaty old man, with his pants down at his ankles, humping a life-size doll dressed in a wedding gown.

"Ahh~"

Melia covered her eyes with her slender fingers but quickly peeked through her fingers to see the scene at the mirror.

"Ahem…"

Alec awkwardly scratched the back of his head while Eron and Rune stayed quiet behind their masks and helmets.

"I knew it!"

Morgana giggled like a young girl, looked at them all with a smile, and said.

"Otto Harwest ordered a life-sized doll from my friend's store, and his order was very specific. It was like he wanted to make it look like a certain someone. Can you guess who?"

She asked with a playful smile.

They looked at the life-sized doll while the fat man was sweating all over it and kissing it passionately.

The doll had long silver hair, gray eyes, and a very beautiful face that bore a striking resemblance to someone.

"Meghan Kornacis?"

Melia asked in surprise.

"Correct~"

Morgana said with a giggle and laughed at the mirror.

"This weird bastard wanted me to make a life-sized doll of Meghan Kornacis, the princess of the Kornacis family, and it was pretty obvious what he planned to do with the doll~

"Apparently, a few weeks ago, Otto Harwest, her wife, and their children attended the party over at Kornacis mansion, and the bastard got obsessed with Meghan ever since."

Morgana said, tapped on the mirror, and the sound of Otto's grunts and the scene of the dark cellar fogged up.

"Is there any specific reason why you told us that?"

Kael asked curiously.

"Hmm, what do you want? It's pretty funny, no?"

Morgana asked with a tilted head, as if she was confused by his question, but she quickly realized that it was his first time seeing the mirror in action.

"Ah, I am sorry, my lord. With this mirror, this is what we usually do to find some dirt in powerful people. Now we know that Otto Harwest is having sex with a doll of Meghan Kornacis.

"He'll pay us anything to keep him quiet!"

Morgana said.

"So, you're planning to extort him?"

Kael asked.

He didn't mind if they planned to do that, as it would most likely help him pretend to be Outlaw, so he was willing to give a helping hand.

"Umm, yes, and no. It depends; like, we've found few nobles killing and torturing their servants. We have extorted them, and those who didn't pay, we reported them to the Magisterial Yard.

"However, without real good proof of their wrongdoings, the Magisterial Yard didn't really do anything to the nobles.

"The nobles are all Whitesky citizens, and the Magisterial Yard, which is fully composed of Earthlings, couldn't take any action against them.

"There are lawmen that also only consist of Whitesky citizens, and we even told them about what the nobles were doing, but pretty much all of them are bought by nobles.

"So, there are few things we can do. Extort for money, rescue the servants from their clutches, or kill the nobles.

"We've done all those three things."

Melia said.

With the way she spoke, she didn't think what they were doing was bad or anything like that, but a different kind of justice.

Kael was fine with that.

"Sounds fair enough, but isn't there a better way of using the mirror? If it really lets you see anything, you can see what was not meant to be seen. Like, can we see into the fog of the Myst Sea with this and see what's there?"

Kael asked.

They all looked at each other, sighed, and shook their heads.

"If we're careless with the mirror, then we might look at someone that we shouldn't, and they'll look back.

"With Starface's Scared Gazer ability, we've learned the lesson that some things are better left to be unseen."
