The Second Chance of Reincarnator

Chapter 48: Play Fight

"Really?"

Kael said in surprise.

He had never heard anything about that, but after thinking about it, when he received the ability knowledge, it didn't tell him anything about it being restricted to just one type of bullet.

'It looks like the knowledge that I receive from the abilities is the most basic version of it. By the sound of it, there is more to these abilities that I have yet to discover.'

Willow walked to the window, where there was a plant bathing in the crimson moonlight, and she plucked a leaf from it.

With her right hand, she crafted it into a rubbery bullet and put it down on the table.

"A rubber bullet. It's the only variation I know how to create so far. I've been trying to make explosive bullets, but I have been unsuccessful."

Willow said with a smile.

"How do you create one…?"

Kael asked as he took the rubber bullet, felt it inside his hand, and then put it back on the table.

"Hehe~ I am sorry, but these methods are trade secrets of every Outlaw. I know an Outlaw, who created a bullet that can increase in size as it flies through air, and he hasn't given away his secret to anyone.

"I don't mind telling you that such a thing is possible, but how to create one? That'll be my secret. I apologize~"

Willow said with a smile, and hands clapped in apology.

"I completely understand."

Kael said, and then he scratched his forehead, but sneakily, he tapped his forehead without her seeing that.

He saw her Mind Image—it was herself, barely the size of a child—and then, above the air, he was able to see the holographic words.

"You want to play a game?"

Willow asked with a sneaky smile.

"A game? What kind?"

Kael leaned on the backrest of the chair and asked.

"Why don't we have a fight? A play fight? I'll create rubber bullets for each, and the one who will get hit first will lose~"

She said.

"Hmm, sure."

Kael said with a smile.

She pulled eleven leaves from the plant—she created eleven more rubber bullets—and then gave him six.

When the other students looked over and saw what she was doing, they realized what was going on.

"Willow is going to fight the new student!"

"A matchup between two Outlaws?"

At that moment, Esme walked into the common room, saw the new student sitting with her best friend, and frowned.

She didn't like seeing Willow talking with him, but when she saw the rubber bullets on the table, she realized what was going on.

"Willow, you're going to fight him?"

Esme walked over with a look of surprise.

"Just for fun, Esme!"

Willow said with a giggle, slid six bullets inside the chamber of her orange-colored revolver, and snapped it shut.

"Where are we going to fight?"

Kael asked.

"We've a room designated exactly for fights like this!"

In one of the many rooms of the mansion, there were put-on-side beds, shelves, and all kinds of furniture placed as walls.

It kind of looked like a miniature maze inside the room. Luckily, the room was quite spacious. And there were holes in two sides of the walls, where people could watch from the neighboring rooms.

The students gathered in the left- and right-sided rooms and peered through the square-shaped holes to catch a glimpse of the inside of the fighting room.

"I'll go to the other side of the room, and when I shout, we'll start the fight. How's that?"

Willow asked while standing by the door.

"I am fine with that."

Kael said, and while he stayed at the doorway, Willow entered the messy-looking maze created by the furniture, and she disappeared from sight.

He pushed the chamber out, checked the six rubber bullets, and then clicked it back into place.

'I, at least, don't have to worry about my accuracy range. If this room is about the same size as mine, it's about ten meters long and fifteen meters wide.

'I think there will be plenty of close-quarters fighting.'

Kael thought.

"Are you ready?!"

At that moment, Willow's voice came from the other side of the room.

"Yes!"

Kael shouted back, and while he didn't feel like smiling, he forced a smile onto his face to start his pretending.

"Go!"

Willow's shout came from inside the room, and then Kael stepped inside—he came across a bed that had been flipped to its side—and then he turned right.

Through the gap in the shelf, he looked deeper into the dimly lit room, but he couldn't find sight of anyone.

At that moment, a red-haired girl jumped over the flipped-over bed, and while falling down to the ground, she pointed her orange revolver's long barrel towards Kael.

She pulled the trigger, and the orange-colored rubber bullet flew out.

Kael instinctively dodged to the right, tackled straight at the shelf, and caused it to fall over with a loud crash.

He quickly turned his revolver over to Willow and pulled the trigger, but she had already moved out of the way, and his bullet just bounced off the wall.

Kael rolled backwards back to his feet and quickly hunched behind a couch for cover and saw the holes on the wall with the students looking at him and cheering.

"50 Iris Coin for Willow's victory!"

"25 Iris Coin for Willow's victory!"

"Hmm… 10 Iris Coins for Kael's victory!"

They were betting, and the only one that believed in Kael's victory was Finn. Well, believe was the wrong word. He only bet on Kael because he knew him better, and he never talk with Willow.

"Hahaha…"

Kael chuckled as he hid behind the couch, moved the revolver close to his chest, and peeked over the edge, trying to see Willow's location.

'It's bad. She is aware of my location, but I don't have any clue where she is.'

He looked at the black revolver in his hand and then tossed it over to the right—it bounced off the wall—and immediately, Willow fired a few bullets there.

At that moment, she noticed that she hit nothing but a black revolver and then turned to look at the couch but saw that the eyes of the students were looking in different directions now.

'He is no longer behind the couch!'

The black revolver disappeared from the ground. It appeared back in Kael's hands, and he peeked behind the shelf towards the other end of the room.

Barely, he was able to see Willow's red hair peeking behind one of the wooden beams, and he immediately fired a bullet over there.

Bang!

Willow dodged the bullet, hunched behind a bed, and quickly moved to the other side of the room to change her current positioning.

Kael sat behind the bed, checked the chamber, and counted his bullets.

'I've used two bullets. I have four left. She has used three bullets and has three left…'
