The sun had long dipped beneath the golden dunes, casting long shadows across the desert. Their group had taken shelter at a quiet oasis camp for the night—an isolated, humble spot with a well, a few stone structures, and shade from clustered palm trees. After the intense encounter earlier, they needed rest.
Rael was sitting by the campfire, sharpening a blade with calm precision. The sound of steel on stone echoed in the background.
Kaya and Vivi were seated a short distance away under a canopy. Rael's presence wasn't far—but not close enough to overhear.
Vivi glanced at Kaya. "So… about earlier. I really didn't mean to be so forward. I just—" She paused. "I guess I acted on instinct."
Kaya chuckled softly. "You're not the first. And… maybe you won't be the last."
Vivi blinked. "Huh?"
Kaya leaned in, her voice dropping to a whisper. "I want to tell you something. Something only someone close to Rael would know."
Vivi leaned closer, confused but curious.
Kaya blushed faintly. "That man... he's not normal."
Vivi tilted her head. "Well, that much is obvious. His strength is… something else."
"No," Kaya said, face reddening. "I mean physically. Especially at night. In bed."
Vivi's entire face flushed red. "W-What?!"
Kaya held her hand up, trying not to laugh. "You don't understand, Vivi. His stamina is absurd. His body—it's like he doesn't get tired. No matter how long it goes."
Vivi covered her mouth with both hands, her face bright crimson.
"I mean it," Kaya said, her voice low and serious. "I love him. I really do. But… I'm only human. Sometimes I think he could wear down a dozen girls and still be standing by morning."
Vivi was frozen. Embarrassed. Speechless.
"And so," Kaya continued with a sigh, "I started thinking. What if… I didn't have to handle it alone? What if there were other girls—good ones, who cared about him too?"
"You mean…" Vivi's voice was barely a whisper. "A harem?"
Kaya nodded slowly. "Only if they truly cared for him. I don't want anyone shallow or fake around him. But… he's too much for one woman. And I want him to be happy."
Vivi stared into the fire, the embers dancing in her wide blue eyes.
"I'm not saying anything now," Kaya added, "but if your heart starts leaning that way, I won't stop you."
Vivi nodded slowly, her lips trembling with words she didn't say. Her blush hadn't faded. "I… I'll think about it."
Kaya smiled, patting her shoulder. "Take your time. But I saw the way you looked at him earlier."
Vivi looked away. "I didn't mean to..."
"You don't have to explain," Kaya said softly. "Just be honest with yourself."
Across the fire, Rael looked up. The two girls looked away quickly, both trying to appear innocent.
Rael narrowed his eyes slightly but said nothing. He returned to his blade, sparks flickering as he continued sharpening it.
The fire crackled, the desert wind whispered, and beneath the starlit sky… new bonds quietly began to form.
