Reid's eyes snapped open, finding himself back in his forged lab.

[You're awake earlier than expected,] Evo said, her voice almost surprised. [You seemed to be in pain even while unconscious, are you okay.]

"Yeah, I'm fine" Reid replied as he sat up straight from what seemed like a bed before asking, "how'd the merging go?"

[You can take a look for yourself,] Evo replied and his status screen popped up before his eyes.

Reid read through the status screen and was surprised by some of the changes.

First was his Rank [Awakened Platinum Rank]. He had seen this once before and it was on a Voidspawn which meant that the void core had completely assimilated with him.

Next was his [Void energy], although the details weren't clear yet, Ethan was sure it was due to the core formed from the mother voidspawn.

"Evo, why does the Void energy display a number?" He asked.

[Void Energy functions differently from soul power. It's a limited, regenerating resource tied directly to your Void Core] Evo explained.

[The number, 200/200, indicates how much you can use before it needs time to recover. Certain abilities, especially those under Void Authority, will consume this energy.]

Reid furrowed his brows. "So it's like a mana pool, but only for Void-based abilities?"

Mana was something popular in games, anime and webnovels, so Evo's explanation of Void energy sounded similar to that.

[Correct,] Evo affirmed. [Unlike Soul Power, Void Energy is volatile and potent. You can regenerate it over time or absorb it from void beasts if available—but overuse might harm your body.]

"I see" Ethan nodded before asking again, "what about the question marks?"

[That's an ability I couldn't find in my database so I have no idea what is or what it does] she truthfully replied.

He exhaled slowly. "Something unknown, even to you?"

[Yes,] Evoadmitted . [It's bound directly to your soul, not the Codex itself. Until it awakens, we can't analyze it.]

"Great," Reid sighed, rising to his feet only to stumble due to how different he felt.

His body was a lot lighter yet the strength he felt from it was unbelievable. He also felt like he could use his Monarch forms multiple times before his soul power was completely drained.

Or maybe that was all just his power high speaking.

[You okay?] Evo asked as Reid caught himself from falling.

"Yeah," he nodded, "everything just feels different."

"By the way, how is the evolution of Rusty and the others going," he asked as he resumed his walk.

He hadn't seen them surrounding him since he woke up, so he guessed that the process might still be ongoing.

The bed he woke up on was not in the evolution area of the forge lab so he had to walk a distance to reach the lab.

[It's done,] Evo said as they reached the evolution area.

"Papa!" Beel was the first to spot Reid as soon as he walked into the lab.

Its form hadn't changed a bit, as it was still in its mini fairy like form. The same was to be said for all his other forged beasts except Axie.

The Axolotl had gotten a bit bigger in size and its color had also gotten a bit brighter.

But even without looking at their stats screens, Reid knew that they had gotten a whole lot stronger than before.

Maybe a single one of them could be at their past counterparts without breaking a single sweat.

All his forged beasts immediately went up to him as soon as Beel called out to him.

"What happened, Papa?" Beel asked softly. "You were asleep for a really long time."

"Don't worry, I'm fine," Reid said, patting its head with a smile. "I heard you guys got a lot stronger while I was out."

Beel puffed out its tiny chest proudly. "Yup! I can eat way more things now without getting a tummy ache!"

[They've all undergone a significant power increase and acquired new abilities,] Evo added. [Would you like me to display their updated status?]

"Yes," Reid nodded and the status screen of his forged beasts immediately appeared before him.

Species: Temporal Wolf

Abilities:

Skip: Instantly teleport to any known or previously seen location with zero cooldown. Can bypass some dimensional barriers.

Causality Shift: Alters the cause-effect relationship within a short radius, thereby changing the outcome of enemy attacks.

Absolute Pause: Temporarily locks even high-rank enemies in a slowed bubble of absolute stillness. Now affects larger AoE with longer duration.

Rewind : Can now rewind a selected area up to 5 minutes with perfect precision, even restoring destroyed terrain or negating fatal hits.

Chrono-Echo: Creates a stronger clone from an alternate timeline, capable of independent action until destroyed.

Time Gate: opens a time portal which leads to a few hours in the past. 2 use per month.

Temporal Domain: A zone in which Rusty has full control over time, allowing it to stop, slow or even forward time.

Abilities:

Void Step: Allows Nyx and selected targets to teleport anywhere within range, bypassing even detection and barriers.

Oblivion Shroud: Upgraded Smoke Screen that now erases presence from all senses and detection. Those inside suffer spatial distortion and cannot escape.

Null Field: A stronger version of Nullification. Sustained AoE negation of all energy/magic around Nyx.

Quantum Collapse: Combines Spatial Collapse with time, crushing both space and flow in a pinpoint radius, causing implosions.

Abyss Rift: Spawns a rift to the Void Realm. Enemies caught are pulled into a space they cannot return from unless extremely powerful.

Null Zone: Domain where not only energy but also abilities, skills, and even thought projection are blocked.

Species: Gluttonous Fly

Abilities:

Perfect Consume: Beel can now consume anything, even abstract laws, though this costs massive energy.

Prime Extract: Beel can extract not only powers but also traits—like resistance, instincts, even potential.

Overclock Enhance: Buffs Beel's stats massively after consumption. Stacks with each thing consumed within a fight.

Singularity Core: The upgraded Black Hole ability now collapses into a true singularity, devouring even high-tier domains or space itself.

Selective Evolution: Beel can now choose what to evolve into, based on what it has consumed and how it wants to grow.

Hive: Swarm now functions as semi-intelligent clones with the ability to mimic one of Beel's other abilities.

Devour Memory+: Can now implant false memories or erase specific experiences after consuming a target's memory.

Gluttony Domain: All abilities used within the domain feed Beel directly. Weaker enemies are immediately absorbed.

Species: Elemental Axolotl

Abilities:

Divine Regeneration: Heals major wounds, regenerates lost limbs, and can even begin restoring a dying ally over time.

Hydro Construct: Controls water to form complex shapes or creatures to fight beside it.

Bio-Luminary Aura: Its glow now purifies status effects and boosts ally perception in dark environments.

Aqua Vortex: Summons a spinning pillar of crushing water to trap enemies.

Elemental Infusion: Can absorb different elemental energies (ice, lightning, etc.) to temporarily change water type attacks.

Ocean's Blessing (Passive): Allies heal slowly while near Axie. Can survive underwater or in zero-gravity environments with ease.

Sanctuary Domain: A calming domain filled with restorative water. All damage taken by allies within the domain is immediately negated.

Abilities:

Event Horizon: Generates a localized black sphere that acts as a miniature black hole, pulling in everything within a radius and slowing time near the center.

Mass Shift: can changed the mass of targeted objects, making them heavier or completely weight less.

Gravity Inversion: Reverses gravity in a selected area or target.

Gravitational Lock: Pins a target in place with overwhelming pressure. Stronger enemies can resist but have their speed and reflexes severely hindered.

Collapse : Compresses gravitational force into a single point and detonates it in a controlled explosion, erasing terrain and crushing all in the blast radius.

Gravity Domain: A zone in which Atlas freely controls the mass and gravity of those within. Enemy's Flight and ranged attacks is disabled, and every motion is dictated by Atlas' will.]

Reid was completely stunned as he read through the status screen. It was as if all their previous abilities had been discarded and replaced with vastly superior versions.

"You weren't kidding," he muttered to Evo.

Even though the status screen labeled them as [Platinum Rank], Reid knew better. They were already capable of facing Platinum-tier primals while still at Gold.

And now, after the evolution? Their strength was on an entirely different level. If he had to guess, he and his Forged Beasts were easily at low Mythic Rank—if not higher.

At least in their monarch form anyway.

Reid took a deep breath, clenching and unclenching his fist as he felt power coursing through him.

"Alright Evo," he started, "let's see what the simulation room can do."
