Chapter 483: Chapter 483: The Mysterious Girl Eilistraee
"Not bad luck, running into a bunch of seafood." Muria, after being transported through space by the Broken Horn, crossed a vast distance and returned to the material world. Looking at the group of Kuo-toa in front of him, he displayed a playful smile with a murderous intent in his eyes.
Once someone steps into the threshold of the extraordinary, they gradually shed their dependence on the environment. The stronger their power, the less the environment affects them. What is an insurmountable obstacle to ordinary beings becomes a mere walk in the park for powerful extraordinary creatures.
For example, humans who fear fire and water can swim in lava after breaking through their physical limits by advancing to the Gold rank. Similarly, marine creatures at the Gold rank and above no longer depend on water. They can also move on land and fly in the sky.
However, under normal circumstances, powerful marine creatures don't venture onto land. Though they can adapt to terrestrial environments, it is not as comfortable as the ocean. But in special situations, such as divine decrees, exceptions occur.
"Which deity are you followers of?" Muria asked with a smile, looking at the group of Kuo-toa who seemed to be in a discussion.
Witnessing Muria break through space and appear before them, the Kuo-toa exchanged glances. Their dead fish eyes showed the appropriate reverence for a legendary figure.
One strong Kuo-toa, who seemed to be the leader, cautiously stepped forward and reported humbly, "Sir, we are followers of the great demon lord, the King of the Deep Sea."
"Followers of Dagon?" Muria nodded, his smile growing warmer. "Are you also here to hunt down the Titan scion named Muria?"
"Yes," answered the leader respectfully, sneaking glances at Muria and the towering Balor demon behind him, trying to discern which of them was the legend or if both were.
"Do you know the strength of that Titan scion?" Muria asked, his smile gentle.
"We do. According to the decree of the King of the Deep Sea, this Titan scion is said to possess peak Soul Intent strength."
"Oh, do you know what the word Titan represents?"
"According to stories and legends in the ocean, Titan means invincibility at the same level, and almost no creature can match them."
"Knowing that, where do you get the courage to hunt this Titan scion with your strength? Aren't you afraid that if you encounter him, he will crush you to dust?"
The hunting team of fishmen before him would indeed be formidable to ordinary beings, composed entirely of powerful fishmen above the Gold rank. However, against Muria, or any peak Soul Intent Titan, they would be easily defeated.
"Respected sir, you may not know, but this time we have several legends leading us to hunt this Titan scion. We are just one of the search teams, responsible for scouting, not fighting. If we really encounter him, we would run without hesitation."
"At least you haven't forgotten the Titan's prestige." Muria had initially thought they were a group of idiots who didn't take Titans seriously, but it seemed they still held some reverence.
"Titan numbers are still too few," Muria sighed inwardly. These fish, though still respectful, dared to hunt him under a demon's command, proving their audacity.
Too few creatures have seen Titans, let alone witnessed a Titan in battle. Hence, many know of Titans and their strength but not to what extent.
"Sir, may I ask who you are?" The fishman leader, sensing something amiss from Muria's keen interest in Titans, tried to probe his identity.
"Demon warlock, Diablo," Muria replied with a smile, watching the fishmen's expressions change rapidly upon hearing his name.
"Lord Diablo, if there's nothing else, we will take our leave." The fishman leader, already aware of Muria's infamous reputation, requested to withdraw, wanting to escape quickly.
"I have one more favor to ask."
"What is it?" The fishman leader, thinking about how to distance themselves from Muria, asked while feigning attentiveness.
"My little lions are hungry. Could you kindly enter their stomachs to alleviate their hunger?"
As he spoke, blood lions appeared around Muria, eyeing the vigorous fishmen with greedy eyes, drool dripping from their mouths.
"Don't run! Let's stick together and hold out until Lord Wing of the Azure Feather arrives..."
"Unfortunately, I fear you won't last that long."
... Less than a quarter of an hour later, aside from shattered fish scales and scattered bloodstains, there was no trace of the fishmen ever existing.
"Why haven't you left this continent yet?" A gentle voice reached Muria's ears, like a lover's whisper, making his heart itch with the desire to see its owner.
"Who's there? Show yourself!" Muria's brows furrowed, his immense mental power surging out from his forehead, sweeping in all directions.
"Rash and arrogant Titan scion," the soft voice spoke again. "I'm here."
Muria sensed a faint spatial fluctuation and immediately calculated its source. The owner had no intention of hiding.
He locked onto the coordinates and transported himself there—a cliff. Before him appeared a figure with long, ankle-length silver hair, blowing in the chilly mountain breeze, revealing a smooth, fair body.
Muria was momentarily stunned. He hadn't expected to see another naked drow elf so soon, but this one was different from the corrupted drow he'd encountered before.
"Good evening, beautiful maiden," Muria's lips curled into a smile, his previous wariness melting away. The power emanating from this tall, well-proportioned drow elf was both familiar and strange to him. She was Eilistraee, the Mysterious Girl, a benevolent deity.
