Chapter 481: Chapter 481: The Spider Queen Lolth's Handmaiden
"Lady Cynthia, the demon warlock Diablo, known for his penchant for city massacres and treasure looting, is approaching our city. Should we avoid him?"
"The City Slayer!" The red dragon, perched on her throne of volcanic lava, opened her eyes. Her crimson pupils showed a hint of dread. Cynthia, who had just broken through to the soul level, naturally feared the notorious demon warlock who had recently risen to fame.
A person's name casts a long shadow. This brutal figure, who frequently engaged in large-scale massacres and city slaughters, possessed the power to threaten their lives. After all, he was still alive and roaming freely, indicating his formidable strength.
"We should avoid him, Cynthia. It's not disgraceful for a dragon to evade such a ruthless existence." The blue dragon and another red dragon, who had hastily come upon hearing the servant's report, entered Cynthia's palace and urgently suggested evasion.
"Alright." Seeing that the two dragons who followed her shared the same attitude, Cynthia nodded and agreed to the suggestion. Being a dragon meant knowing when to advance and retreat; they had no need to confront this demon warlock head-on.
"Where are you planning to hide?" Just as the three dragons were about to pack up and flee, a young man clad in a black robe, riding a blood lion demon, entered the palace built within a hollowed-out volcano.
"The City Slayer!" The two smaller dragons, upon seeing Muria's figure, were instantly terrified. They prepared to cast teleportation spells to escape.
"Wait a minute." As the teleportation portals formed, Cynthia called out to the two disgraceful companions, "He's not a demon warlock. He is..."
"Not him? A false alarm."
"An imposter?"
Hearing Cynthia's words, the two dragons immediately canceled their teleportation spells and looked at Muria with some malice. Since he wasn't the demon warlock, there was nothing to fear.
"You two blind fools. I've raised you for years, and you can't recognize me after a slight change." Two thunderous hands formed beside Muria. One hand each smacked the two dragons, sending them to the ground.
"M-Muria." The two dragons, twitching from the golden lightning, instantly recognized Muria.
"Muria, why are you here? The entire subcontinent is filled with evil god followers looking to capture you." Seeing the young man releasing golden lightning, Cynthia's face showed delight, but then she realized the situation and spoke with some concern.
"I'm now the demon warlock Diablo. What does their hunt for a Titan hybrid have to do with me?" Muria countered. As he spoke, the Book of the Dead appeared in his hand, surrounded by an inky black curse mist, giving him a sinister and terrifying aura.
"Can you associate my current appearance with the benevolent, heroic, fair, and just Titan Muria?"
The three chromatic dragons were stunned for a moment by Muria's shameless self-praise.
"Can you?" The air grew heavy with an inexplicable pressure, making it hard for the dragons to breathe. The three dragons quickly shook their heads, indicating that he had no connection to the morally impeccable Titan hybrid.
"Good." Muria nodded in satisfaction. "Now, pack up and follow me. We're going to find the other four, and then we'll leave this place."
"But I..." Hearing about leaving, Cynthia and the other two dragons showed hesitation. They had painstakingly carved out a territory on this perilous continent, and now Muria was asking them to abandon it.
"Look at you, so unambitious." Seeing their hesitation, Muria's face showed disdain. "Once we leave this continent, I'll give each of you control over a floating city. Isn't that better than the three of you ruling this small, rundown city?"
"Floating city?" Hearing Muria's promise, the three dragons' eyes sparkled, but Cynthia, the most level-headed, questioned, "Your Highness, where will you get so many floating cities?"
"Do you think I'm like you losers, who after so many years are still cramped in one city?" Muria scoffed. "I've had my big break."
With no more doubts, the three dragons packed up their accumulated wealth from years on the continent and followed Muria, filled with anticipation for his promise, to find the next group of dragons.
"This is where Albert lives?" Muria looked at the volcano ahead with a face of disappointment. "Each one is more worthless than the last."
At least Cynthia had the ambition to venture out. But the red dragon Albert had become complacent after his banishment, finding three other like-minded chromatic dragons to laze around with.
"M-Master Diablo, Albert believes that any achievements on this continent are meaningless and that it's better to conserve strength and wait for your arrival."
"You sure know how to make excuses for laziness," Muria chuckled, riding the blood lion demon towards the smoldering volcano.
Ash from the volcanic eruptions had created a dense forest at the foot of the volcano, where the green dragon and two black dragons following Albert resided, perfectly suited to their needs.
Muria's arrival, especially with the blood lion demon's menacing aura, alarmed the three lazy chromatic dragons. Just as they were about to use magic to flee, Cynthia and the other two dragons stopped them.
"Go get Albert for me," Muria commanded, frowning at the three sycophantic chromatic dragons before him.
"Um, Your Highness Muria, could you wait a moment? Lord Albert recently met a drow elf ranger and brought her back to his lair. It's not the best time to disturb him."
The green dragon, following Albert, winked at Muria, speaking in a tone every male creature would understand.
"Drow elf?" Hearing the mention of this race, Muria frowned, sensing something amiss. "You expect me to wait? Take me to Albert's lair."
Seeing Muria's impatience, the three chromatic dragons reluctantly led the way. They knew better than to offend Muria to appease Albert. The one with absolute authority was clear to them.
"This guy sure has stamina." Approaching Albert's lair, which exuded a hot, sulfurous smell, Muria heard panting moans and the rapid sound of flesh slapping against flesh.
Smelling the lewd scent from the lair, Muria hesitated for a moment, then walked in. Immediately, the sight of two naked bodies intertwined greeted his eyes.
"Albert, don't you find this disgusting?" Muria's eyes flashed with bright golden light, seeing through the true form of the drow elf tangled with Albert, who had transformed into a red-haired young man. "Even a wax demon?"
Albert, having noticed Muria and the others, was about to greet them when he heard the term "wax demon." He froze, looking incredulously at the dark-skinned drow elf under him.
"You're a wax demon?"
The drow elf, her face still flushed with passion, cast a seductive glance at Albert, then turned her gaze to Muria, who had removed his hood. She smiled wickedly, "Titan hybrid, I've been waiting for you."
