The Rise of the Fallen Prodigy

Chapter 30: Blood Raven Magic Core

Liam Smith was now absolutely safe and had the time to take the Detoxifying Elixir.

The toxin of the Blood Raven was really hard to endure. If it weren't for Liam Smith's relatively strong willpower, he would probably have collapsed long ago.

Apart from these wounds on his body, Liam Smith had also been severely struck by the Blood Raven King once. He could clearly feel that his internal organs had shifted slightly.

Healing his injuries was the most important thing at present. Although the medicine he carried with him couldn't completely cure him, it could reduce the pain and temporarily suppress the injuries. It wouldn't be too late to recuperate when he returned to Silvermoon Valley.

Liam Smith simply sat cross-legged behind the inkstone. While healing his injuries, he took out a Soul crystal, circulated the Eternal Sky Codex to restore his vital energy, and on the other hand, he held a dagger and continued to slaughter the Blood Ravens that rushed in.

Every time he killed a Blood Raven, Liam Smith would throw the body out for the other Blood Ravens to devour.

At first, Liam Smith could still hear the sound of the Blood Ravens outside competing for food. But as time passed, the commotion became smaller and smaller, and there was hardly any sound later. He estimated that there weren't many Blood Ravens left, and they were probably all full.

After about half an hour, very few Blood Ravens rushed in. Liam Smith could only find a Blood Raven rushing in after a long time. He didn't know if they were afraid or what.

The entire inkstone was covered with the blood of the Blood Ravens, and so was the ground. Liam Smith's body was also stained with blood, and he couldn't tell which blood was his and which was the Blood Ravens'.

The entire cave was filled with the smell of blood. At first, Liam Smith didn't notice it, but now he began to find it a bit pungent. After a long time, Liam Smith even felt a bit dizzy.

But rushing out now was undoubtedly seeking death. Liam Smith still remembered that the Blood Raven King was still outside, eyeing him covetously. Maybe there were other Blood Ravens outside too. For the time being, he could only endure it.

Alistair seemed to see Liam Smith's painful expression and smiled, "Is the little guy feeling uncomfortable?"

"Of course I am. Why don't you come out and try it?" Seeing Alistair saying sarcastic remarks, Liam Smith replied angrily.

"Didn't I ask you to buy the Tianlan Incense on the Commercial Street?"

"Oh, right." Reminded by Alistair, Liam Smith remembered the Tianlan Incense he had bought from a grocery store before.

According to the grocery store owner, Tianlan Incense was a specialty of the Sunshine Federation. It had a rich aroma. Just a drop of it in front of the nose could make the fragrance last for half a day.

He took out a small bottle containing Tianlan Incense and carefully dropped a drop in front of his nose.

Suddenly, a strange fragrance entered his brain through his nose, and he became much more refreshed. The previous pungent smell of blood gradually dissipated until only the smell of Tianlan Incense remained.

"This is really a good thing." Liam Smith nodded with satisfaction and then put away the Tianlan Incense, "It seems that I should prepare more such good things for future training experiences."

"Your cultivation is not high enough now, and your training level is too low. The Tianlan Incense is naturally good in this situation. But as your training becomes more and more difficult and your cultivation becomes deeper and deeper, its effect will gradually decrease." Alistair's voice sounded faintly.

"Why aren't these Blood Ravens coming anymore? Are they all dead?" Liam Smith changed the subject.

Alistair pondered for a moment and then said, "They're not all dead yet, but almost. At the moment, they're all full and won't attack you for now. At least they won't launch another attack until tomorrow after they've eaten all their companions' bodies."

Liam Smith knew that Alistair must have spied on the situation outside with his Soul Power and felt relieved for the time being.

Seeing how magically Alistair could use his Soul Power, Liam Smith couldn't help but want to try it himself.

But he didn't know whether it was because his Soul Power was insufficient or for some other reason. No matter how he held his breath and concentrated, his Soul Power could only sense the situation around his body and couldn't detect the situation outside at all.

After trying several times, not only did Liam Smith not succeed, but his head also started to ache.

Alistair said mockingly, "Little guy, with your current cultivation, you want to use Soul Power to sense the surrounding environment. You're really asking for trouble."

"Master, when will I be able to use Soul Power to spy on things outside my body?"

"It's still early. You won't reach that realm until after the Condensate Realm." Alistair explained.

Liam Smith looked a bit disappointed and muttered, "The Condensate Realm?"

It seemed that it was still a long way for him.

Alistair said lightly, "It's no use thinking about these things now. While the Blood Ravens aren't attacking, quickly restore your vital energy and stabilize your injuries. That's the most important thing."

Liam Smith thought it was right and stopped纠结. He closed his eyes and began to adjust his breath through cultivation.

I don't know how many hours had passed during this meditation. Liam Smith's internal injuries were effectively controlled. His previously shaken internal organs were temporarily okay. Most of his vital energy in his body was restored. Under the effect of the medicine for sword wounds, the wounds on his body had begun to heal, and the blood on his body had long since coagulated.

A Blood Raven's cry woke up Liam Smith, who was still in meditation. He saw a Blood Raven squeezing into the cave with its body shrunk.

A wicked smile curled up at the corner of Liam Smith's mouth. He stabbed out with the dagger in his hand again, and another Blood Raven's body was thrown out.

Next came another Blood Raven, which also bravely and recklessly tried to squeeze in through the gap.

"Is this the final attack?" Liam Smith thought to himself.

In less than a quarter of an hour, Liam Smith slaughtered more than a dozen Blood Ravens. No more Blood Ravens rushed in from outside, and Liam Smith couldn't hear any movement outside even when he lay on the inkstone. It seemed that all the breaths had disappeared.

Just then, there was a sudden loud noise. Liam Smith felt a huge force coming from the inkstone, which directly sent him flying. If he hadn't supported himself with his hands in time, Liam Smith might have fallen flat on his face.

The heavy inkstone seemed unable to withstand the huge force and slid a few inches inward.

"What's happening outside?" Liam Smith became a bit anxious and quickly sent a mental message to Alistair.

Alistair said indifferently, "The Blood Raven King has started to attack."

It turned out that the huge force just now was caused by the Blood Raven King. He didn't expect it to have such great strength that it could even push the inkstone weighing hundreds of jin.

"Is it going crazy?"

"No, it's just its nature." Alistair said slowly, "Blood Ravens have an innate love for blood. Blood can greatly stimulate them. Whether it's life or death, they will definitely go to the place with the strongest smell of blood."

"Then what should we do now?" As he spoke, the inkstone was hit again and slid a few more inches inward. Liam Smith was really afraid that he would be squeezed to death by the inkstone instead of being killed by the Blood Ravens.

"It's almost there."

"What's almost there?"

"When the inkstone is pushed another half a chi inward, I estimate that the Blood Raven King will attack you." Alistair said as if it were an unimportant matter.

Sure enough, as Alistair said, after the inkstone slid another half a chi inward, Liam Smith saw the Blood Raven King through the gap between the inkstone and the cave roof.

The guy was shrinking its body and preparing to come in.

Due to the sliding of the inkstone, the gap became larger and larger. The gap that couldn't originally accommodate the Blood Raven King was now big enough for a child to get in and out.

But now the guy had blood all over its head. It seemed to have suffered quite a serious injury when撞击ing the inkstone. Most of the feathers on its back had also fallen off, and it looked very狼狈.

Liam Smith couldn't sit still anymore. He held the dagger and stood behind the inkstone, ready to take action as soon as the Blood Raven King came in a little further.

I don't know if it was because of its irresistible desire for blood or its fearlessness towards Liam Smith, but the Blood Raven King let out a low hiss and squeezed in.

When its long beak passed through the inkstone, Liam Smith finally took action. The sharp dagger accurately pierced through the Blood Raven King's mouth, and blood gushed out. The Blood Raven King couldn't help but let out a scream in pain.

It tried to withdraw its mouth, but Liam Smith wouldn't give it a chance. He lay on the inkstone and stabbed twice with his hand to pierce the Blood Raven's red eyes.

The Blood Raven without eyes quickly withdrew its mouth and stood outside, screaming continuously and constantly ramming into the inkstone.

Liam Smith naturally tried his best to resist the inkstone. He didn't want to be squeezed into a meat pie.

But after ramming for a while, there was gradually no movement outside. Liam Smith could only hear a rapid breathing sound and intermittent whines.

He tentatively poked his head through the gap and saw that the Blood Raven King was lying on the ground struggling at the entrance of the cave. One of its wings was clearly broken, probably caused by撞击ing the inkstone.

Its long beak was also deformed beyond recognition, and even its two sharp claws were broken. It seemed that it was dying and had completely lost the dignity it should have as a Blood Raven King.

However, Liam Smith's vigilance didn't decrease because of this. If he went out now and the guy suddenly attacked him, he would suffer a great loss.

So, Liam Smith lay on the inkstone and watched for a while. The struggling amplitude of the Blood Raven King gradually slowed down, and there was only the sound of it exhaling, not inhaling.

After confirming that the Blood Raven King really posed no threat to him, Liam Smith put away the inkstone and swaggered forward.

Looking at the Blood Raven King in front of him with some confusion, he really couldn't figure out what these Blood Ravens were thinking. If they hadn't kept coming in to die but had instead tightly guarded the outside, without Alistair's help, he would definitely have no chance of survival.

Without any pity, Liam Smith took out the dagger and stabbed the Blood Raven King a few more times, completely sending it to its doom.

Just as he was about to get up and leave, Liam Smith suddenly noticed a faint red light shining from the wound on the Blood Raven King's abdomen. He was a bit curious and cut open the wound. He saw a red bead the size of a longan in the Blood Raven King's belly, which seemed to have grown from the Blood Raven King itself.

He took out the small red bead and held it in his hand to feel it. In addition to the extremely high temperature, there was also a large amount of Pure Quintessence power.

"Is this a magic core?" Liam Smith murmured to himself.

The small red bead in his hand was very similar to the magic core recorded in the ancient books.

Alistair's voice sounded at this moment, "Little guy, this magic core can be sold for fifty Soul crystals. It's a small gain."

"Can it be sold for that much? But in Silvermoon Valley, a level-one magic core can only be sold for about twenty Soul crystals." Liam Smith asked with some confusion.

"For the lowest-level monsters like Blood Ravens, generally speaking, there is no magic core. Only the king of the group can grow a magic core. This is much more valuable than an ordinary level-one magic core."

Liam Smith nodded to show that he understood. There was only one Blood Raven King in such a group, and Blood Ravens lived in groups. According to his inference, the strength of the Blood Raven King was already close to the sixth level of the Refined Gas Realm. With countless followers, it was estimated that no one without the cultivation of the seventh level of the Refined Gas Realm would have a chance of survival.

It was reasonable that it was more expensive than an ordinary level-one magic core.

Without thinking too much, Liam Smith immediately put away the magic core and flew to the bottom of the cave.
