The Rise of the Black Plain

Chapter 142: Die!

'These two men are at level 48, while the woman is at level 49...' Minos pondered as he observed the three members of the Silva family.

By the time he had recognized that these people were affiliated to the Silva family, Minos had already decided their fate. He wasn't someone who would kill an entire family, but those who came after him or provoked him in any way could expect the worst!

But even though he had already decided how he was going to deal with these unwanted visitors, Minos still wanted to know what they were doing here.

"Ehh, can I know what the three of you are doing in my city?" he asked politely. There was no need for him to insult the other side right away if he wanted to get some information.

"Hmph, if we want to get in, we'll do it. We don't need to justify ourselves to someone like you!" Austin retorted sharply. In his opinion, Minos was acting like he was some important figure, but he was nothing more than a worm...

Soon after, Sarah Silva spoke curiously, "Oh! It seems that the young Minos is even more talented than his father. Only 17 years old and you have already reached level 40!" She then paused for a second before laughing strangely, and then continued, "I suppose that it has to do with how this place has improved so significantly..."

"Why don't you tell us about it? So, we can give you a chance..." she said, smiling at the young Stuart. "I see that the butler Dillian is also doing very well... I wonder how someone at his age can cultivate so fast..."

Dillian just smiled at her and replied, "Hahaha, Sarah Silva, I haven't seen you in a long time. I don't know why you came here, but unfortunately for you, this would be the biggest mistake of your life!"

"Hmph, these people are hilarious..." scoffed the oldest man from the trio Silva family with contempt. For him, numbers were useless. Only true strength could determine the result.

That was also what he and many others of the Silva family believed!

"Hahaha, you look very confident... But I must say, the only ones who need a chance here today are you!"

With that, Minos signaled his soldiers to take action. There were about 100 of them present, each of them had already heard their young master's plans when they spotted these three intruders from a distance.

They would split into three groups; one with 50 soldiers who would face the strongest opponent among the enemies, the woman named Sarah. While the remaining two groups, with about 25 soldiers each, would deal with the other two.

Minos intended to personally take care of this woman since there was a big difference in levels between his soldiers and her. Thus, many of his soldiers could possibly die at her hands if they were not careful enough.

As for the other two, Minos was confident that these two groups, together with his support, could beat them without having to encounter any significant problems. After all, even if they were at a higher level, they were still some members of noble families from the northern region of the Central Continent.

None of them could compare to young Ruth, who had several techniques of Silver grade up her arsenal. Minos alone was already capable of defeating either one of them!

Sure, he couldn't defeat Ruth who was at level 46 with her Silver-grade techniques, but he would surely be a match for ordinary cultivators who were at Level 48 and had Black-grade techniques!

However, it would undoubtedly be as challenging a battle as the one he had with young Troy in the Spiritual Tournament. And since the objective here was solely to kill, the young Stuart would definitely not confront these people directly.

No, facing any one of these opponents alone would be nothing but stupid. The sensible thing to do in such a situation would be to take advantage of their numerical advantage and annihilate the enemy team!

There was no need to take any unnecessary risks just to provide these people an exciting battle.

No, this wasn't a joke. If the soldiers didn't fight with everything they had, right from the beginning, even if they emerged victorious, there would undoubtedly be many casualties!

And that was unacceptable to Minos since he had the numerical advantage in this situation.

Anyway, without wasting any time, the dozens of soldiers along with Minos split into three groups, preparing to attack their respective targets.

"Haha, it looks like these insects believe that they can go against us, just because of their numbers!" Dennis chuckled with a ridiculous smile on his face. He found all this resistance meaningless...

To Dennis, it was ridiculous that these people thought they could fight against the three of them, who were already at level 48, while their opponents were barely at level 41!

Did they not understand the difference between the levels? Unless they possessed some higher-level techniques, it would be impossible for them to fight against someone at higher levels!

But for the case of this bunch of hillbilly, it would be impossible for them to possess superior techniques than those provided by the Silva family...

After hearing this, Austin prepared himself to fight, as he declared, "We are going to teach these hillbillies what it means to face a big family fight!"

"Hmm, if you have a lot of work with these worms, why don't we just put that brat first. The rest of them will lose hope of fighting once he is taken care of!" Sarah then turned to the group of 50, stretching her neck from side to side. "This will be a good fight, haha!"

At this point, finally, the dozens of Minos' soldiers began activating their techniques one after the other.

Wind Palm!

...

Hammering the World!

Rumble!

Suddenly the area was turned into a chaotic battlefield. Several blades, fists, projectiles, and many other forms of attacks were sent from one side to the other, slicing through the air and creating minor marks of battles in their wake.

Boom!

As the chaotic conflict erupted, Minos immediately activated his techniques, unleashing his sword strikes in the direction of the two men.

Indestructible Body!

Explosive Steps!

Spatial Sword!

He did not want to use his support technique because many of his allies were fighting in this place right now. And since he still couldn't control his Devouring Art to the degree that it didn't affect his associates, using it here would be a mistake.

Not to mention that the difference in cultivation between him and his enemies was considerably huge. So, in this case, even if he could ignore his allies, he would still have almost no real gain after activating his support technique.

Minos then began to move quickly across the battlefield while delivering precise, vertical and horizontal blows with his sword.

Swooish!

Swooish!

Blades, each measuring more than 70 centimeters long, started materializing and sliced through the air, traveling at high speeds towards the two men of the enemy group!

"Hehe, does this brat still want to get involved in the fight? He..." While Austin wanted to speak, he suddenly realized the incredible strength that was contained within the blades created by Minos.

Each of them was almost as potent as his own attacks!

'Ah, shit!'

He wanted to shout at himself, but now it was too late to even evade the imminent attack and he could only defend himself from it!

Earth Shield!

Austin immediately circulated his defense technique, and almost simultaneously, a large, round shield materialized in front of him. It resembled a piece of concrete, which provided a cover to a large part of its user's body.

Boom!

An explosion sounded reverberated when the blow finally collided with Austin's defense. Immediately after the collision, the force of the impact was so much that the blonde man's body was thrown into the distance, hitting his back against a nearby rock.

"Ahhh!"

But Austin had no chance to regret what had happened since a barrage of blows was already hurtling his way. After all, he might have managed to dodge attacks by Minos' soldiers before, but now it was different...

After receiving the blow from Minos, Austin had lost some of the focus from the fight as his thoughts were in disarray. He was now at a disadvantage, leaving vulnerability towards the many opponents who were intent on killing him!

Meanwhile, Dennis had managed to fend off Minos' attack while deflecting it quickly.

Dennis was different from Austin and didn't underestimate the young Stuart and had also immediately sensed the force of the blades that were thrown at him, so he had quickly taken a measure to prevent this attack from hitting his body.

'Unbelievable! This young man is a true monster!' Dennis contemplated, processing what had just happened. Not only were Minos' blows exceptionally powerful, but those of his subordinates were also quite formidable.

"It seems that this Minos had been training all his subordinates with Black-grade techniques!" Dennis, who was better off among the three shouted at his two companions.

He was greatly shocked by this. After all, not even the noble families, which had many specialists, rarely dared to do this!

'Is he not afraid of being betrayed by these subordinates?' Dennis thought to himself while evading and sometimes defending himself against the attacks that were coming to him.

In the Spiritual World, families almost always tried to safeguard their most valuable techniques, preventing their power from being drained over to strangers!

And because of that, what Minos was doing sounded very dangerous to these people...

Nonetheless, the battle continued to rage on, but there had been no casualties so far. The trio had barely managed to launch any attack, as they had to worry about defending themselves and avoiding the barrage of attacks!

As a result, this remained a very disputed battle in which both sides seemed to be evenly matched in terms of strength.

At this point, the group leader finally made up her mind as she thought. 'I have to kill this Minos! Otherwise, he will end up destroying my Silva family in the future!'

She was extremely shocked by the strength that was unleashed by the young Stuart during this battle. So, she finally moved quickly towards Minos.

She had sensed that he was running out of energy, and even though he was almost as strong as level 48 cultivators, she was still a lot stronger than him.

"Die!"

Cutting Wires!

Suddenly, numerous wires sliced through the air, moving towards Minos' neck at a breakneck speed!

Zum!

She aimed to kill her enemy with this blow, ending any potential threat to her family in the future.
