Chapter 615: Chapter 615: High-Difficulty Action Film (Bonus Chapter 1)

In the massive gym of the Horner Estate, a pair of rings used for pull-ups had been lowered to the appropriate height. Nina Dobrev was hanging upside down from them, her legs hooked over the rings. Such a high-difficulty move could only be done easily by someone with years of professional gymnastics training like her.

Suddenly, Nina Dobrev's inverted face turned red, her eyes widened, and a few seconds later, she used her core strength to sit up, grabbing the straps above the rings. She then came down from the rings, covered her mouth, and ran into the nearby shower room.

Matthew lay on the wooden floor for a while, catching his breath, before pushing open the door to the shower room and going inside.

Honestly, he hadn't expected Nina Dobrev to pull off such high-difficulty moves. This Canadian girl was quite extraordinary.

The moves Nina Dobrev performed had a significant visual impact.

Half an hour later, Matthew brought Nina Dobrev back to the living room. Nina seemed exhausted and curled up on the large sofa, unwilling to move.

She felt extremely tired and wanted to sleep, but she knew it wasn't the right time.

In the shower, Matthew had praised her a lot, seeming to particularly enjoy it. Based on her past experience, Nina judged that this was the best time to discuss something with Matthew.

She had gone all out, using all her strength and her best moves. From her time with Matthew, she had learned that he was very reliable in this regard and would generally agree to reasonable requests.

During their time on the "Rising Sun" yacht, she had been by Matthew's side while he talked with Stephenie Meyer, so she knew exactly what they discussed.

Not only had Nina read "Eclipse," but she had also read the earlier "Twilight" and "New Moon." To be precise, she was a fan of the series, so she knew who Alice Cullen was and her role in the series.

While she didn't dare dream of the lead role, knowing she wasn't qualified, she thought she might have a shot at a supporting role.

Matthew brought Nina a cup of coffee and asked, "Feeling drained? Are you hungry?"

Nina took a sip of coffee and winked at Matthew. "I just ate, so I'm not hungry."

"You're so beautiful, cute, and special..." Matthew walked behind the sofa and grabbed a lock of her hair. "What will I do without you?"

Nina, though young, wasn't naive enough to believe such flattery. Even though Matthew hadn't seen other women while they were together and had been very considerate of her feelings, she knew that once they parted ways, he would soon have someone new.

A playboy's sweet words were to be taken lightly. To fall in love with him would be disastrous.

Thinking quickly, Nina replied, "Matthew, even if we're not together, you can still call on me."

She turned her head, looking at Matthew. "I'll be based in Los Angeles, always ready for you."

Hearing this, Matthew suddenly thought of Miranda Kerr. When he had bid her farewell, she had said something similar. However, nearly a year had passed, and aside from seeing her once in New York during the filming of "I Am Legend," he had no further interest.

To be blunt, he had a short attention span.

However, Nina was different. The stunts she could perform were not something models or other actresses could do, like hanging upside down, standing splits, turning a 720-degree leg turn, and other acrobatic moves. How many people in Hollywood could do such things?

Matthew didn't respond immediately, knowing that nothing in life was free, especially from someone as purposeful as Nina.

Nina, having something to ask of Matthew, said, "I've read the 'Twilight' series and particularly like the character Alice Cullen."

Hearing this, Matthew understood instantly. He moved to the front of the sofa and sat beside her, thinking for a moment before saying, "I like you a lot, Nina."

He paused, choosing his words carefully. "I've entrusted the casting to Angel Agency."

Nina didn't hesitate, saying, "I can fire my current agent and join Angel Agency..."

Matthew raised his hand to stop her. "Nina, I can speak to Helen and make you a candidate for the role."

He had already promised Helen Herman that all roles except the female lead would be managed by Angel Agency. If Helen could bring in Kristen Stewart, or if Kristen Stewart declined the role, he would also entrust the lead role to Angel Agency.

Helen Herman had negotiated these projects for him, work beyond a typical agent's duties, so he needed to offer some compensation.

Nina tried to hide her eagerness, saying, "I'll terminate my contract with my current agent tomorrow."

"No rush," Matthew said, "Nina, our relationship is special. There are some things I need to clarify."

"Okay," Nina nodded eagerly.

Matthew gently stroked her hair. "You're a sensible girl." A pretty girl who knew how to play the game was a pleasure to be around. "I can talk to Helen about getting you an audition, but landing the role depends on your performance."

Nina smiled, "No problem. I'll beat all the competition."

Considering the uncertainty surrounding Kristen Stewart, Matthew added, "If your audition is exceptional, the lead role isn't out of reach."

"The lead role?" Nina's composure vanished in an instant. "Really?"

Matthew offered a carrot before throwing cold water. "Don't get your hopes up too high."

Nina shrank back into the sofa. "Oh, I understand."

Matthew gently pinched her cheek. In his mind, Kristen Stewart was the top choice for the role of Isabella Swan unless she declined. As for the other roles, he hadn't even watched the movie, so he didn't know the original choices and left them to Helen Herman to recommend.

On the other hand, a true man wouldn't refuse this role, right?

Of course, nothing was certain. He had already informed Helen Herman, who was responsible for contacting Kristen Stewart.

If Helen could secure her, it would be her luck.

Suddenly, Matthew thought of another actress, perhaps Emma Watson would be a good choice?

After some thought, he dismissed the idea. With a similar magical background, if Emma Watson appeared in "Twilight," especially with the "Harry Potter" series still ongoing, viewers might think Hermione Granger was battling vampires and werewolves. They might even suspect that vampires and werewolves had allied with Voldemort.

Unfortunately, the rights to "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" weren't owned by the same company; otherwise, they could create some sort of universe.

Matthew was merely daydreaming since the styles of the two series didn't match at all.

It seemed that movie universes would become popular in the future, with Marvel and DC superhero universes...

While Nina was in the bathroom, Matthew recalled that, thanks to Marvel and DC, many companies had tried to create a movie universe. For instance, Michael Bay once mentioned that Paramount planned to merge "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe," as these two toys had appeared together in the toy and comic world.

Oh, and Tom Cruise... Matthew remembered another one. He played in a new version of "The Mummy," which was terrible. There were also Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, and werewolf movies...

At the time, he hadn't noticed, but now, after gaining a better understanding of Hollywood, he realized these were all part of Universal Pictures' movie monsters. Universal seemed to be creating a dark and scary monster movie universe.

Horror? Matthew frowned, recalling there was a horror universe, too. He couldn't remember clearly or where he had seen it, but he vaguely remembered someone wanting to center a horror movie universe around a particular film.

Unable to recall, he gave up, especially since Nina had returned. This previously exhausted Canadian gymnast seemed invigorated, pulling Matthew upstairs, wanting to perform a special Thomas flair for him.

Matthew wouldn't refuse, as he enjoyed special gymnastic performances.

Nina, feeling liberated, took down the newly added camera from Matthew's bedroom shelf and set it up, intending to play director, camerawoman, and lead actress in an extraordinary high-difficulty action film.

Nina Dobrev had been selected for the Canadian national rhythmic gymnastics team, her skills were solid...

Effort pays off, and Matthew, reliable in such matters, called Helen Herman the next day. Nina Dobrev also quickly fired her previous agent and joined Angel Agency.

Later, Helen Herman reported that her contacts with the star weren't going well, and Kristen Stewart wasn't interested in the role of Isabella Swan.
