Chapter 30: Chapter 30: The Path to Mexico
"Well… I'm not entirely sure," Mo Han said slowly, "but I believe the area he once ruled is now known as… Mexico."
"Huh…?" Shen Hao blinked.
"WHAT THE HELL!?"
"Are you saying I have to go to Mexico now?!"
Mo Han nodded.
"Well yes — if you want to become stronger. We need to leave China and go to Mexico to find it."
Shen Hao felt overwhelmed. His mind raced with questions and worries. He had never left China before.
Still, he took a deep breath, calmed himself, and asked:
"But how are we going to get there, Master?
I've never even stepped outside China — how do you expect me to go all the way to Mexico?! That's so far!"
Mo Han crossed his arms.
"That's your problem, brat! If you want to save your race, you'll have to figure it out!"
The two stood in silence, both thinking hard for a solution.
Then suddenly…
"Shen Hao!"
He heard someone calling out.
"Shen Hao, come down! Watch this!"
It was his father's voice, shouting from downstairs.
Shen Hao got up, puzzled by the urgency, and began heading down the stairs. As he reached the ground floor, he saw his entire family gathered around the TV, watching the news with tense, worried expressions.
"Dad?" Shen Hao said.
His father turned to look at him — and Shen Hao immediately noticed the fear in his eyes. He looked shocked, confused… maybe even a little scared.
The rest of the family wore the same expression.
Shen Hao's confusion deepened — until he turned toward the television.
"Shen Hao, come see this," his father said.
The news was on. A female reporter stood on screen, speaking in a serious tone:
"Hello everyone, my name is Bing Xin. I hope you're having a good day.
Today, we received very unusual — and terrifying — news.
Yesterday, a massive explosion occurred on the outskirts of Zhenli City.
The blast was powerful enough to destroy an entire district.
Luckily, it happened far from the main city, so no serious casualties were reported. The city's economy was mostly unaffected.
But here's the strange and frightening part — no one knows the cause of the explosion.
No bombs, no missiles, no trace of any kind of weapon.
There was no radiation, no poisonous gas, no chemical residue — nothing at all.
The explosion just… happened. Out of nowhere.
Scientists and military officials are still investigating, but so far they have no leads.
We'll keep you updated as this mystery develops. Thank you."
As the news ended, Shen Hao's thoughts raced.
"Oh... I see.
So it's that explosion.
They finally discovered it...
I just hope they don't find any clues that lead back to me, or I'll be in serious trouble."
His thoughts were interrupted when his father broke the silence:
"Everyone... as you saw just now — a huge explosion happened. And no one has any clue how.
I hate to say this, but I don't think this country is safe for us anymore.
That's why I've been thinking… maybe we should move.
Buy a new house — somewhere in a different country, somewhere far from China.
It would be safer.
So… I want to hear your suggestions. Where should we go next?"
