The Real Life System

Chapter 16: With the investment team

Adrian looked at his group with a confident smile.

"Good! Thank you all for your introductions. Now, I will divide you into two teams. Each team will work on a different project."

He grabbed a pen and two sheets of paper, then started writing.

First Paper:

Title : « Increase "Food 2" Visitors »

Team Members :

Adrian (Leader and Negotiator)

Dyop (Presenter and Negotiator)

Bako (Designer)

Benjamin (Marketing Specialist)

Second Paper:

Title: « Improve Clothing Shop Sales »

Team Members :

Adrian (Leader and Negotiator)

Dyop (Presenter and Negotiator)

Nazo (Designer)

Kabi (Marketing Specialist)

John (Fashion Model)

Cella (Video Animator)

Once he finished, he looked up at his team and spoke with energy.

"Here we go! I have written down two projects. The first is about increasing the sales of a clothing store. This project will go to Team 1."

Adrian turned to Nazo, handing him a PC.

"Nazo, your role is to design better clothing models for the shop. I trust your creativity."

Nazo nodded seriously.

Then, Adrian looked at John.

"John, with your experience in fashion shows, I need you to help Nazo. Give him advice on details that will attract customers."

John smiled. "Yes, Chef!"

Adrian laughed. "No need to call me Chef, just Adrian."

Next, he turned to Cella.

"Cella, your job is to take the designs and create an animated video. Imagine John wearing these clothes in a realistic way. Make it engaging so customers feel like they are watching a real fashion show."

Cella gave a thumbs-up. "Got it, Adrian!"

Finally, Adrian looked at Kabi.

"Kabi, your role is to find the best marketing methods to attract more clients. Use every trick you know!"

Kabi smirked. "Leave it to me!"

Adrian clapped his hands.

"Great! Team 1, do you all understand your tasks?"

"Yes, Adrian!" they all responded in unison.

"Perfect! Now, let's move on to Team 2."

Adrian turned to Team 2, looking at them with determination.

"Alright, Team 2! Our mission is to bring more customers to the restaurant 'Food 2'. We need to make people realize how good their food is."

He took a deep breath and looked at Bako.

"Bako, your job is to learn about the types of food they serve. Then, design a beautiful menu that will make people hungry just by looking at it! We need something so attractive that when people see it, they start drooling."

Bako nodded excitedly. "I'll do my best, Adrian!"

Then, Adrian turned to Benjamin.

"Benjamin, after Bako designs the menu, your task is to spread it everywhere. Find the best strategies to make sure everyone in the city sees it. Use posters, social media, or any marketing tricks you know!"

Benjamin smiled confidently. "Got it, I'll make sure everyone knows about Food 2!"

Finally, Adrian looked at Dyop.

"Dyop, without your communication skills, we can't succeed. That's why I put you in both teams. Your job is to gather information about our two projects and prepare strong arguments to convince investors."

Dyop listened carefully, nodding.

"I'll help you structure your speech, and together we will present our ideas to investors. We need them to believe in us so they will sponsor our projects. With their support, we'll have the money to promote Food 2 and improve the clothing store. This is our key to success!"

Adrian paused for a moment, looking at everyone in the room.

"Is everything clear?"

All at once, the group shouted:

"YES!!"

Adrian smiled. The real challenge was about to begin.

Adrian knew that the success of the projects depended on convincing investors to support them. So, he decided to go out and search for any potential investors who might be interested. He spent the next four hours meeting with different companies and pitching his ideas.

By the end of the day, Adrian had secured three appointments with three different company teams. Each team included a Human Resources (HR) representative, an Investor, and a Cost Analyst. This was a great achievement, as he now had the chance to present his projects to people who could help make them a reality.

Excited, Adrian returned to the building where his teams were working. He gathered everyone together and shared the good news.

"Everyone should maximize their efforts," Adrian said with determination.

"We need to work harder and faster. Let's accelerate our progress!"

He glanced at the clock and saw that it was 8:00 pm.

"Our first appointment is tomorrow at 11:00 am," he continued. "We have less than a day to prepare. Let's go ahead and make this happen!"

The morning sun lit up the city as Adrian and Dyop prepared for the big day. The time was 10:00 AM, and Adrian checked the project status on their system:

[Your Budget: $0]

[Target: $10,000]

[Time Left: 47:22:21]

He turned to Dyop and said,

"This is our presentation. Let's take a final revision before we go."

The two carefully went through their slides, making sure everything was clear, convincing, and well-structured. They discussed the key points they wanted to highlight and practiced their arguments one last time.

When they felt ready, they left the building and headed toward their first meetingwith Designo company .

At the company's office, a professional-looking receptionist greeted them with a warm smile.

"Good morning! You must be Adrian and Dyop. Please have a seat. The team will be ready for you soon."

Adrian and Dyop sat down, taking deep breaths to calm their nerves. A few moments later, the receptionist returned.

"You can go in now. The team is waiting for you in the meeting room."

Adrian and Dyop entered a modern conference room. Inside, three professionals were seated at a long table. They wore formal suits and had laptops open in front of them. A large screen was mounted on the wall, ready for the presentation.

A woman with sharp eyes and a confident posture spoke first.

"Hi, I'm Jida, an HR specialist. These are my colleagues: the Cost Analyst and the Investment Manager. Please connect your computer and begin your presentation."

Adrian and Dyop exchanged a quick look—this was the moment they had been preparing for.

Adrian walked to the table, plugged in his laptop, and the presentation appeared on the big screen. With a deep breath, he smiled and said,

"Thank you for having us today. Let's begin!"

Adrian stood confidently in front of the team and began speaking.

"Good morning, everyone. My name is Adrian, and I am the leader of this project. With me today is Dyop, our expert presenter and negotiator. Our team is composed of highly skilled individuals who are working on two major projects: one to increase sales in a clothing shop and the other to attract more customers to the restaurant 'Food 2.'"

He introduced each team member, explaining their roles and strengths. Then, to Adrian's surprise, Dyop took the lead.

As soon as Dyop started speaking, Adrian felt a wave of admiration. Dyop's voice was strong, clear, and passionate. Even though the presentation slides were simple, the way Dyop spoke made it feel like a million-dollar project.

"Ladies and gentlemen, today, we are not just presenting a business plan. We are offering you an opportunity to be part of something big, something that will change the way people experience fashion and food."

He explained the strategies, making everything sound well-structured and foolproof. The way he delivered the information was so persuasive that Adrian could see Jida, the HR specialist, and the investor nodding in agreement.

However, the Cost Analyst remained skeptical.

The analyst leaned forward and asked:

"I think your projects are interesting, especially the clothing project. But the restaurant plan depends on how many customers your strategy will bring. You mentioned distributing free food samples for 3-4 hours. But what if people don't like the food? Won't this be a costly failure?"

Adrian smiled, prepared for this question. He reached into his bag and pulled out a lunch box and a spoon.

"I am sure they will like it. But don't take my word for it, please, try it yourself."

The analyst and the investor hesitated, but then each took a spoonful.

The Moment of Truth

The room fell silent as they tasted the food. Their eyes widened in pure shock.

The investor leaned back in his chair.

"How is it possible that food this good is not already famous?"

Jida, the HR specialist, nodded in agreement.

"I was thinking the same thing!"

The Cost Analyst, who had been the toughest to convince, turned to the investor and said,

"Mmm... That's really good."

He then looked at the investor. "What do you think, Cido?"

The investor, still savoring the taste, smiled.

"Yes, let's take the risk with them on this project!"

Jida clapped her hands together.

"Congratulations! We will approve your projects. Now, let's move on to the negotiation phase."

Adrian and Dyop exchanged a victorious look.

They did it!
