Chapter 20: Pursuits
Ranton smiled contentedly after Heinald's guess."Exactly! They may be there to observe who is getting valuable things.
"They may think this is a trap." Heinald had a thoughtful expression.
"You're right ... But I can't think of any other plans. They're hiding very well." Ranton tapped his desk.
"Who is behind the company that ran this auction?" Heinald asked.
"I don't know.Trade companies take their privacy very seriously." Ranton sighed.
"Then they probably don't know either. Still, let's be at the auction, but I don't think we can get a result. A cunning person like Hamra will not risk attacking a company whose background is unknown." Heinald shook his head.
"What do you suggest?" Ranton exhaled.
"I think they're also trying to find out about the people behind this auction." Heinald scratched his chin.
"It's a reasonable assumption. They must somehow be able to get solid intelligence about the target they're going to attack." Ranton nodded.
"They have attacked a large number of ski depots, and most of them have been successful. They must have been able to bypass Trap Formations in some way." Heinald frowned slightly. The methods of this organization were increasingly confused.
"They have attacked a large number of resource storages, and most of them have been successful. They must somehow be able to overcome Trap Formations." Heinald frowned slightly. The methods of this organization were increasingly confused.
After Heinald left Ranton's place, he returned to his home, with so many thoughts in his head.He had to learn how the Bloody Teeth Organization was getting intelligence. When Heinald looked through the list,he had saw that there were many attacks on families and organizations. They could not be receiving information from Ainsars who were members of these families or organizations, because that would be treason, and every Blood Agreement included a precautionary principle to prevent betrayal.
The next day, Heinald began wandering through the city's shops to buy some materials,he had come to the city on a mission, but could not devote all his time to the mission,he had to keep improving.
First, he bought the materials needed to brew Low Level Fire Effect Potions. After that,he went to a shop called The Red Mountain, which was recommended to him by Master Albert himself.According to Albert, the materials sold in this shop were of higher quality than other places.
"Welcome." A woman with a Level 1 Ainsar aura welcomed Heinald.
"I need resources that provide information about Herbs and Spirits." Heinald bowed his head slightly to greet the woman in front of him.
"The book section is upstairs. Follow me, please." The woman pointed to the stairs. When they got upstairs,Heinald encountered a much larger library than he had expected.
"Copies of only a small fraction of the original sources are exhibited for security reasons. If you want anything, you should come and get it tomorrow." The woman explained the situation.
Heinald nodded.
Heinald had picked four books after look over for a few hours. He went to the Woman and showed the copies.
"Enril's Spiritual Truth Guide?" The woman's thin eyebrows frowned slightly.
"Is there a problem?" Heinald had noticed the situation.
"I do not recommend buying this book,it is a book with most pages missing." The woman smiled bitterly.
"Missing?" Heinald scratched his chin.
Among the books he looked, this was the book that gave the most in-depth information about the spirits. The other three books were those that gave information about various herbs and their effects.
"I want it anyway." Heinald made his final decision after thinking for a while.
"Well, this book is not only incomplete, but also very expensive." The woman is shrugged.
"How much?" Heinald asked.
"600 Arkana Stones." The woman answered.
"What!?" Heinald's eyes widened.
"I told you that I don't recommend ..." The woman raised her eyebrows.
"How much are the other three books worth?" Heinald asked.
"350 Arkana Stones." The woman answered.
Heinald fought within a few minutes. His mind opposed it, while his heart wanted him to buy that book. Finally, the winner of the war was his heart, and he ordered four books in total. He would come back to this shop tomorrow and take his orders.
"I must be crazy..." Heinald muttered. This was the only thought on his mind as he made his way home. Heinald brewed a few potions that day, then spent the rest of his time practicing the spell called Frost Wave. The next day,he went first and received his orders. He had paid a total of 950 Arkana Stones, and almost no Arkana Stone was left.
Heinald spent most of his time studying the spells he needed to learn for the next four months. While working on the spell named Frost Wave, he made two mistakes in total and both had his body damaged. Fortunately, Master Albert helped Heinald with the potions he prepared. The second spell he learned was 'Whisper of the Wind', another spell inherited from his grandfather. Through this spell,he was able to glide rapidly for 10 seconds. He could not fly,but could move fairly quickly, and finally learned about the spell he bought from Albert. Learning the spels was not too challenging for him, as he was able to visualize and construct the spell patterns precisely and quickly. During the rest of his time,he had made potions and sold it to obtain some Arkana Stones.
Heinald also occasionally contacted Ranton during this period and had hoped there would be a little bit of intelligence about Bloody Teeth. Unfortunately nothing happened. After completing his primary work,he read Enril's Guide to Spiritual Truth at the first opportunity he had and pondered it for hours. This book indeed contained very in-depth information and secrets about Spirits, but it had too many pages missing.
"There are some really interesting and good information, but not enough.Unlucky,if this book was not missing..." Heinald sighed and shook his head.
Just as Heinald was about to stop thinking more about the book, he noticed an hidden text.
"Shadows of spirits filled Estnor. There is no escape! In dawn, what is always there will show the way!"
"Estnor?" The text made Heinald frown. He immediately thought of the maps he had memorized, but could not see a place named Estnor.
Heinald left his house and immediately went to Ranton, this time not downstairs as usual.
He sat at one of the tables and was drinking.
"Hey! Would you like something to drink?" When Ranton saw Heinald coming, he greeted him.
"No thanks. I came to ask you something." Heinals shook his head.
"If you are going to ask if there is any new development ..."
"No, I know there is no new development." Heinald smiled bitterly.
"What are you going to ask then?"
"Do you know where Estnor is?" Heinald asked.
"Estnor?" Ranton checked his memory, then shook his head.
"Do you know someone with good map knowledge?" Heinald asked.
"Old Adler can help you." Ranton gave Heinald an address.
Heinald immediately left and headed for the address. When he reached the address, he saw a small and neglected shop in front of him. When he entered, he saw objects covered with dust and spider webs.
"What do you want?" An old skinny man appeared on Heinald's left side.
"There is a place I want to learn. Do you know a place called Esnor?" Heinald started looking at the old man.
"5 Arkana Stones!" The old man nodded after thinking for a while.
"Catch!" Heinald threw five Arkana Stones at the old man.
"Do you know the Huda Ruins?" the old man asked.
"Yes." Heinald nodded. The Huda Ruins was a region south of the Risingmoon Kingdom.
"Estnor was once located right in this area of the ruins. The Huda Ruins are actually the remains of a vanished kingdom." The old man pointed to a point on the map.
**** ****
Heinald began to see the beginning of the Huda Ruins after traveling non-stop for days. When he entered the edge of the Ruins,he instantly felt the Dark Energy surrounding him. It was still a few hours before the sun came up, it was dark all around, but that wasn't a problem for him. The reason he came here was because he could find a valuable relic of ancient knowledge. If he could find the deeper information about spirits,he could have a deep understanding of spirits.
"Shadows of spirits filled Estnor. There is no escape! In dawn, what is always there will show the way!" Heinald remembered the article he had read earlier.
"It must be the sun... that is always there at dawn!" Heinald muttered. In dawn, the sun began to light up the ruins.Heinald began to observe his surroundings carefully.
"This ..?" Heinald saw a thin beam of light rising toward the sky ahead.
He immediately looked where the beam of light came out, coming over a small hill. According to their calculations, it was only a few miles from the hill. For a few seconds, the yellow beam of light disappeared. Heinald immediately got on his horse and started heading up the hill at full speed. When he reached the side of the hill,he saw an upward path.
"Stay here, Shadow, above may not be the right place for you." Heinald got off his horse and started walking upstairs.
As you went up, the intensity of Dark Energy in the surrounding area increased.
"These are..." When Heinald climbed up, he encountered thousands of tombstones. In some parts of the cemetery there were oval structures made of stone, and Heinald began to wander around carefully and examine the tombstones.
