Chapter 92: Elven Cock Block
Ezio tried to drink his tea, but he was having trouble holding the cup without spilling the contents. Ever since he had shown Bane where Victor lived, he had been like this. A dreadful feeling told him that nothing good would come from helping him. And now that feeling is getting closer.
"Are you alright? You have been awfully silent since you came home."
Ezio smiled, despite the feeling of impending doom getting closer. Morgana had her black hair up in a ponytail, and was wearing a white apron. She had made a large batch of chocolate and nut cookies for him, since they were his favorite, and had just put the last one on a tray when she heard the sound of her front door exploding. Both of them looked at the door that separated the front entrance from the kitchen and dining room.
"Umm, did you make Bane mad again?" Morgana asked in a worried tone as the two could hear loud foot falls stomping through the house.
Ezio tried to say that he didn't think so, but that was when the door opened, and all words were lost.
"So, you were the one that told my idiot husband where Victor lives?"
Lysia's blonde hair was a myriad of colors and practically stood on end from the insane amount of mana rippling off her small petite body. This idiot had just ruined what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life! Two more days, and she would have been linked to him, and no amount of space could separate them without Lysia knowing where Bane was. Her anger was boiling over, and the two people in the kitchen were lucky that the table was between them.
"I am not sure what happened, but I think that we should talk about this. Where is Bane? Shouldn't you be getting mad at him, and not my boyfriend?" Morgana pressed, but then vines burst from the walls, grabbing Ezio before he could react.
"Your boyfriend is the reason mine is gone now!" Lysia growled, but then Morgana threw her hands in the air.
"Why would he do that?! How could he?! Ezio?! What did you do?!"
Ezio had never seen his girlfriend get this mad, and now she was standing beside Lysia, making Ezio wish he was anywhere but here. He knew this was a bad idea, and that it would come back to bite him. Now, not only did he have to worry about his girlfriend, but the person that could rip his head off with a single look was also standing beside her.
"All I did was show him to Victor's home. I was trying to get him to stay away from him!" Ezio pleaded, making Lysia let out a scream of rage.
"Why did you tell that to the most obstinate person who would stick their head in a dragon's mouth if it meant that they could prove they weren't scared? You are an idiot!" Morgana roared, and Lysia nodded.
"Well said, sister. You are right. Bane would have stuck his head in a dragon mouth for fun, and probably would have taken a tooth for a souvenir! Yet, you told him it was a bad place and for him not to go! Are you stupid?! You could have just said Victor was a nice and kind gentleman, and Bane would have stayed away. Instead, you showed him the place, and now my idiot is going to the demon world for training!"
Damned if he did, and damned if he didn't, but looking at things with this in mind, he could now see why Lysia was blaming him. Still, how could Ezio know that Bane would get sent to another world for training? He had just thought that Bane would try and get him to teach him a skill, or spar with him. Ezio didn't know about Onyx, or that the AGI would send him off for training, or he wouldn't have done what he did.
"Why would he go to the Demon World for training? Isn't this a good thing?" Ezio asked, but this did not help his case.
"Because a demon forced him to!" Lysia raged, and then punched a hole in the wall beside Ezio's head. "And now I am stuck here until he comes back! Three months of not being able to sense him!"
Lysia let out another rage filled scream, and Morgana nodded, patting her back. "It is okay, let it all out. If there is anything I can do, let me know."
Lysia turned to Morgana, her demeanor suddenly becoming calm. "Anything? Then I shall move into your house, and share your bed for the next three months. You will follow me around as I carry out my day. If I can not feel the embrace of the one I love, then neither will Ezio! Now, come! We are going to buy a new bed for us, and I need to yell at Bilgarth, and then we will swing back around so I can scream at and pummel Victor again."
"But my boyfriend..." Morgana looked back at Ezio, who was now looking at her with a pleading expression, but Lysia was pulling on her arm, dragging her along.
"He can stay like that until we get back, and think about what he has done," Lysia said, and Morgana could only nod, knowing that this was a bad time to argue with the elf.
"I will come back and free you later," Morgana called over her shoulder as she was dragged from the room.
Ezio was left hanging in the middle of the room, and he sighed, closing his eyes. Why did these things always seem to happen to him? He was a good man, and did good things. Was this his karma for his life as an assassin? No, this was far worse than his years as an assassin. At least there he could escape and get away. This was hell, and all he could do was hang here and wait.
The worst part was, he could feel it in his gut. This was only the tip of the iceberg, and then the next three months were going to be worse for him.
