Chapter 11: Decapitation (3)_2
At this moment, even the other two members of the Golden Dragon Clan standing behind Abraham seemed to panic, their eyes widening simultaneously.
Andrejevitsch opened his mouth wide, trembling slightly, reaching out his bloodstained hand to grab Abraham's snow-white robe.
Abraham stood there quietly, looking at him coldly.
A gust of wind swept past, and Andrejevitsch's body silently fell to the ground. Blood flowed quietly, his eyes wide open without the slightest movement.
The magic dissipated, and Andrejevitsch slowly revealed his true form—Golden Dragon.
"He was Archil Norman's brother," one of the Golden Dragon Clan members reminded in a low voice.
"Even if Archil Norman were here, we must do this," Abraham said, walking towards the giant stone used to open the entrance.
Raising his hand, he slowly gathered his magic power in his palm, then with a "bang," struck the giant stone.
In an instant, the stone crumbled, sand and gravel flying. The magic power originally gathered in the stone escaped into the sky like golden little fish until it dissipated.
...
The entire Dragon Valley was trembling slightly, stones on the mountain peaks shaking and falling.
Countless slumbering Golden Dragons were awakened, all looking towards the sky.
In the sky, the previously hidden Hexagram Array gradually appeared, a touch of red emerged within the golden color, a hue like blood.
Elder Gjestav in the dragon's nest slowly opened his eyes.
...
"We are doing this for the future of the Golden Dragon Clan," Abraham softly said in the rolling dust, "The Golden Dragon Clan has not intervened in the affairs of the continent for too long, unaware of the dangers of the war between gods and demons. Only by completely eliminating the Lich King and breaking the alliance can we cut off the possibility of the Golden Dragon Clan being drawn into the war."
The lifeless Andrejevitsch lay quietly in his Golden Dragon form at the entrance.
...
In the midst of the battle, Archil Norman, already in his Golden Dragon form, bit down hard on a Black Dragon's neck, flinging it away with force.
In the next moment, a Black Dragon attacker maintaining human form leaped onto Archil Norman's back, holding a weapon resembling a large fishhook, heavily driving it into the gap between dragon scales. With a pull, a large piece of dragon scales silently fell off, blood oozing.
When it comes to defense and destructive power, the dragon form is certainly more formidable. But, if we talk about assassination power, it's a different story. *The human form is more advantageous for concentrating all the power at a single point.*
*Intense pain surged through,* amidst the roar, Archil Norman fiercely flung the Black Dragon attacker away. Simultaneously, more Black Dragon attackers in human form rushed towards him.
The Golden Dragon, covered in blood, struggled helplessly on the ground like a fish out of water. *Despite remaining immensely powerful, he was utterly helpless.*
...
Dragons fell from the sky one after another, stirring up flying snow everywhere. Some were gold, some black, others white, blue, and red...
In terms of this battle alone, *it was probably the most brutal among the entire Dragon Clan in the past ten thousand years.*
...
The wind and snow continued to howl.
In the midst of chaos, Gray swung his Longsword left and right, while Tenidas, with Ninefold Wind, Ninefold Shield, and Ninefold Strength spells cast, kicked over one Black Dragon attacker after another. With the help of two Guardian Angels and two devil prompts, no one could get close to Gray for now, but it was still a tough fight.
"Sarina, Delia, you two take Richie and leave quickly!"
"No! Father, I want to stay and fight by your side!"
"Leave first, or I'll be distracted!" Gray said, already picking Richie up from his horse and tossing him towards Sarina.
Sarina, floating in mid-air, hurriedly caught Richie.
"Father..." Richie stared blankly at his father's back.
"Go back first. We can't both die here," Gray said, raising his Longsword and charging out again. This time, his target was a red dragon spraying Dragon Breath recklessly.
Amid the turmoil, the Black Cat shouted hysterically within the armor, "I think the one who should retreat the most is you! You're their target; it's the best way to end this battle!"
"I know, but they won't let me leave!" Immediately, Gray roared and rode his horse directly onto the red dragon's back.
Watching his father fight valiantly, Richie gently pushed Sarina away. Unexpectedly, he also floated into the air.
"Follow me," Richie said casually, turning and flying towards Dragon Valley.
As his Guardian Angel and devil prompt, Delia and Sarina quickly followed.
Amidst the raging fire and the intense battlefield, Richie sprinted at high speed, while Delia and Sarina guarded him, occasionally fending off some attacks aimed at him.
*This assassination—the Black Dragon's tactics were very clear. The primary targets were Aikleion and Lucy. Only by holding them off could they prevent Gray from escaping through the space gate. Then it was Gray. Others seemed to be off the radar.*
...
"What's going on?"
"Is there an anomaly in the magic array? I've never seen this before."
"Are we under attack? Could it be the Black Dragons?"
"Maybe we should go out and see what's happening."
In Dragon Valley, the Golden Dragons were already discussing animatedly.
However, all the elders remained silent.
*That passage—the only normal way in and out of Dragon Valley—had been destroyed. As guardians of the magic array, the elders understood this more than anyone.*
*The Lich King had just left, and the entrance was destroyed shortly after. The elders could guess what this meant.*
*Without the passage, can the Golden Dragons still enter and leave the valley? Of course they can. But that would require completely disabling the magic array. After disabling the magic array, this place would return to being ordinary land, and the Golden Dragons could fly out directly from the top of the valley without needing any passage.*
*However, after disabling the magic array, under the severe cold, what would happen to the animals, plants, and even the valley, this land that they had lived in for tens of thousands of years?*
*If the magic array isn't disabled, even spatial magic cannot be performed within the Dragon Valley covered by the array. Originally a proud defense measure, it now seemed like a shackle around the necks of the Golden Dragons.*
All the elders fell silent simultaneously.
Signing the alliance with passionate blood didn't mean they were ready to face the imminent sacrifices.
Just as the Golden Dragon elders were hesitating, a voice suddenly echoed in all the minds of the Golden Dragon Clan: "My allies! I am Richie Gruggle, son of the Lich King! My father is under attack by the Black Dragon Clan! He needs you! Please extend your aid immediately and fulfill the alliance you just signed!"
Suddenly, the Golden Dragon Clan was in an uproar.
"The Lich King is under attack? Didn't he just leave Dragon Valley?"
"So... was he attacked outside Dragon Valley?"
"My heavens..."
"Is this true, or is it just a trick by the Black Dragons?"
The already restless Golden Dragons quickly looked towards the direction of the Great Elder.
The Great Elder atop the mountain slowly raised his dragon head, silently hesitating.
"Please hurry, we're barely holding on! It's not just my father; your kin are also being slaughtered! Will you stand by and watch?" Richie's voice rang out once again, this time tinged with sobbing.
...
By the destroyed entrance, Abraham slowly looked up and saw Richie floating in the distant sky.
"What should we do?" a nearby Golden Dragon Clan member asked nervously.
"Kill him," Abraham replied softly.
