The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!

Chapter 09: Beheading_2

"They were incited by the Lich King, that little Lich, who had an unexpected influence. The existence of the Lich King was the core of the alliance. In fact, the same was true for the White Bone Holy Light Court, and even more so for their alliance with humans. Ultimately, all things had a single point of convergence—that was Lich King Gray Gruggle."

"Since that's the case, let's make him disappear from this world for good, while he's still immature and yet to have a soul phylactery."

"Should we consider the reaction of Heaven and Hell in this matter?"

"They want us to do this."

"I obey your command, my Elder!"

A giant dragon flapped its wings and soared into the sky, followed by the second, the third, countless dragons flew up. Among them were black, crimson, dark green, pale yellow... covering the sky, all heading in the same direction.

Through the clouds, in an instant, the figures of the dragons disappeared, each transforming into human forms, their bodies cloaked in black robes.

Soon, even those "humans" vanished, leaving the sky empty, as if nothing had ever appeared.

...

The bright sunlight shone on the "temporary residence."

In the courtyard, a long table covered with white cloth was set up. With the delegation and the members of the Golden Dragon Clan as witnesses, Gray and the Golden Dragon Great Elder signed and exchanged a formal alliance. It was a long scroll, containing tens of thousands of words, filled with various details.

After completing all the ceremonies, both parties crossed their hands over their chests and bowed solemnly.

"Are you leaving so soon?" The Golden Dragon Great Elder said softly, "We had hoped you could stay for a longer time. As you saw, our clan members, especially the young ones, really like you. Maybe you could spend some more time with them to discuss justice, fairness, and the Holy Light."

"We have many things to do, Elder. Signing the alliance was just the beginning. *Justice needs to be practiced, not just talked about. There are too many people waiting for us to save, not a single second should be wasted.*" Gray answered seriously.

"Well, alright. If you insist, we respect your decision. Meanwhile, I look forward to this alliance bringing a new aspect to the Golden Dragon Clan." The Elder said, spreading his arms.

Gray spread his arms as well, and in front of the delegation and the members of the Golden Dragon Clan, they embraced tightly.

"We will await your call in Dragon Valley!"

...

Snow-covered mountains, accompanied by icy winds.

At less than two meters above the snow, black flowers formed by magic power exploded. Figures emerged from them, skimming the ground, flying forward at high speed. Silently, their movements even softer than the sound of the wind. In this blizzard, they were so inconspicuous.

...

After a brief ceremony, the delegation arrived at the tunnel entrance leading to the outside world.

"Oh my God, are we walking back again? It's freezing outside." Gruglu shivered as he looked at the pitch-black tunnel entrance.

"You didn't say that when you came," Vivian said beside him.

"Wasn't there a task when we came? Now that the alliance is signed, I suggest opening a space portal directly, so I can lie in my warm bed tonight."

"That won't do. We must return the same way we came. It's etiquette." Vivian replied expressionlessly.

After bidding farewell, Gray mounted Tenidas and turned his horse. Under the gaze of the Elder and other members of the Golden Dragon Clan, he headed towards the dark tunnel.

Archil Norman, who had been looking after them, led the way during their departure, walking at the forefront.

The group slowly advanced in the dark tunnel.

"Hahahaha, a great victory! A great victory!" Hidden in Gray's armor, the Black Cat cheered while hugging the alliance scroll, "I never thought we would achieve the best result. Until you met the Elder for the first time, I thought getting them to be neutral would already count as a win. I never expected to actually make them our allies!"

"*As long as we persist, the final victory is undoubtedly ours.*" Gray answered softly.

"You are an excellent speaker, Gray. Really. I never thought you could reverse the situation this way. Of course, they themselves must have been restless for a long time, much like the Liches, their long and boring lives always make them uneasy."

"I would rather believe they truly long for justice."

"Father," riding his horse closer to Gray, Richie asked softly, "When we go back, will we immediately declare war on the Black Dragons?"

"We have already declared war."

"I mean, will we take action immediately?"

Gray silently looked ahead for a moment, then answered, "They must already know the decision of the Golden Dragon Clan. Even if they don't, they'll find out soon. *I want to try persuading them one last time. When victory is out of reach, perhaps they'll consider changing.*"

"Maybe we should launch a covert attack directly," Richie said. "Although we now have the support of the Golden Dragons and much stronger power than them, it doesn't mean this war will come without any sacrifices. A sneak attack could minimize casualties."

"Successful persuasion would undoubtedly cause the least sacrifice. *The Black Dragon Clan is only our temporary enemy, and we have a long way to go afterward. We will face even more formidable opponents. And they might become our new allies. We won't stop here. Moreover, the people and our allies probably prefer to see us win in a righteous manner. A sneak attack may achieve victory, but it will undoubtedly sow the seeds of permanent trouble.*"

"Permanent trouble?"

"*Would you willingly submit to an opponent who defeated you with vile means?* Vivian's voice suddenly broke the silence, "Our goal is not to eliminate the Black Dragon Clan."

"Alright then." Richie shrugged helplessly, not saying anything more.

...

Feet pressing onto the snow.

Uninvited figures in black robes abandoned flying, descended from the air, braced the snowstorm, and began walking.

Figures moved quietly in the snow, seen from above, like black dots moving within the vast whiteness.

Why suddenly mention "seen from above"?

Because Abraham was flying in his golden dragon form above them. His huge eyes quietly glanced down, then looked forward as if he saw nothing.

"Is everything normal? The Lich King will soon exit the tunnel. The Elder ordered us to ensure the safety of the Lich King's return, without the slightest mishap. You must check carefully. Understood?" A voice echoed in his mind.

"Everything is normal."

"Everything is normal."

"Everything is normal."

"Everything is normal," Abraham also replied.

Exchanging a meaningful glance with another golden dragon flying beside him, Abraham quietly shifted his posture and flew in another direction.

In the snow, those black dots continued moving stealthily toward Dragon Valley.

...

Archil Norman extended a hand, pressing it onto a rune-covered stone.

Soon, the stone emitted a soft, golden glow. In front of them, a gap resembling a space portal slowly opened in the otherwise pitch-black tunnel. The sunlight from outside Dragon Valley, accompanied by the snowstorm, quickly seeped in, sweeping through every corner of the tunnel.

Bowing slightly, Archil Norman made a gesture of invitation.

Gray rode his horse, leading the delegation members into the wind and snow, exiting the tunnel.
