The Last Omo Ogun (Son Of War)

Chapter 11: THE CHOICE OF A WARRIOR

EXT. OKE AIYE – NIGHT

The moon casts an eerie glow over the sacred mountain, Oke Aiye.

Akin stands at the base, staring up at the towering peak shrouded in mist.

The wind howls, carrying whispers that aren't entirely natural.

The path ahead is steep, filled with twisting roots, jagged rocks, and ominous silence.

Akin takes a deep breath and steps forward.

EXT. OKE AIYE – MIDWAY UP THE MOUNTAIN

Every step feels heavier.

The air grows thick, pressing against his skin.

Suddenly—

A strange force stops him in his tracks.

His muscles lock.

His heart pounds.

A deep voice echoes from nowhere and everywhere.

SEER

"You have come far, Son of War."

Akin's eyes dart around.

AKIN

"Who are you?"

The mist shifts, and an ancient figure emerges from the shadows.

The Seer.

He is cloaked in tattered robes, his eyes glowing a faint silver.

His presence is unsettling, yet powerful.

Akin straightens.

AKIN

"You know me?"

The Seer steps closer.

SEER

"I know what you will become."

Akin's fists clench.

AKIN

"Then tell me. Who am I? What is happening to me?"

The Seer studies him.

Then—he raises a wrinkled hand and touches Akin's forehead.

Akin's vision blurs.

INT. VISION – THE REALM OF ANCESTORS

Akin stands in a battlefield of fire and shadows.

Towering warriors of light clash with monsters of darkness.

Among them—

A man, wearing armor bathed in golden flames, wielding a blade of lightning.

His presence is mighty, divine… unstoppable.

Akin stares, his breath caught in his throat.

AKIN

"Who is that?"

The Seer's voice echoes.

SEER

"That… was your ancestor. The first Omo-Ogun."

Akin's chest tightens.

The warrior turns, and for a brief moment—

Akin sees his own face reflected in the golden armor.

Shock floods through him.

Then—darkness erupts from the ground, swallowing the battlefield whole.

A monstrous figure rises from the abyss, its eyes burning red.

The golden warrior charges, blade raised high.

Akin watches, breathless.

Then—the vision ends.

EXT. OKE AIYE – NIGHT

Akin stumbles back, gasping.

Sweat drips from his forehead.

His hands tremble.

The Seer watches, expression unreadable.

SEER

"You are the last Omo-Ogun. The blood of warriors flows in you."

Akin shakes his head.

AKIN

"This… this can't be."

SEER

"The whispers you hear? The power you feel? It is your destiny calling."

Akin clenches his fists.

AKIN

"But why me?"

The Seer steps closer.

SEER

"Because darkness stirs once more. And only an Omo-Ogun can stop what is coming."

Akin's heart pounds.

He wants to refuse. To run.

But deep inside—

He knows the Seer is right.

A storm is coming.

And he is the only one who can face it.

EXT. OKE AIYE – NIGHT

Akin stands before the Seer, his mind spinning.

The revelation still weighs on him like a mountain.

He is the last Omo-Ogun.

The warrior bloodline runs through him.

The whispers, the visions, the power—they were never a curse.

They were a calling.

But can he accept it?

Akin clenches his fists.

AKIN

"If I accept this destiny… what must I do?"

The Seer's silver eyes gleam.

SEER

"You must train. You must prepare. The storm is near."

Akin frowns.

AKIN

"A storm?"

The wind howls, rustling the trees.

The Seer gazes at the moon, his face grim.

SEER

"War is coming."

Akin's stomach tightens.

SEER

"The enemies that seek this land are not ordinary men. They are guided by ancient forces. Dark forces."

Akin's breath catches.

He remembers Arogun's last words.

"You are not ordinary."

He remembers the dark whispers that spoke to him during battle.

Everything is connected.

Akin grits his teeth.

AKIN

"Tell me what I must do."

The Seer nods approvingly.

SEER

"Good. The first step is learning control. Your power is raw, untamed. Without mastery, it will destroy you before you can wield it."

Akin nods, determined.

Then—

The ground trembles.

The air thickens.

Akin spins around, his instincts screaming.

From the shadows—

A beast emerges.

EXT. OKE AIYE – DEEP NIGHT

The creature is massive—twice the size of a man.

Its skin is black as the abyss, its eyes glow a sickly green.

It snarls, revealing rows of jagged teeth.

Akin's heart pounds.

AKIN

"What… is that?"

The Seer's voice is calm, steady.

SEER

"A test."

Akin's eyes widen.

The beast lunges.

Akin leaps back—but too late.

A claw rakes across his chest.

Pain explodes through his body.

Akin grits his teeth, refusing to fall.

The Seer watches silently.

Akin clenches his fists.

He must fight.

He must win.

For Ajilomi.

For himself.

For his destiny.

Akin charges.

EXT. OKE AIYE – NIGHT

The beast roars, its voice like thunder in the heavens.

Akin stumbles back, clutching his bleeding chest.

Pain burns through his body, but he does not fall.

He grits his teeth.

This is a test.

The Seer stands still, his silver eyes watching.

Akin's mind races.

This creature is unlike anything he has ever faced.

Faster. Stronger. Smarter.

It is not human.

And Akin…

He is still learning what he is.

The beast lunges again.

Akin rolls aside, barely avoiding its deadly claws.

The monster spins, swiping at him again—

SLASH!

Akin blocks with his arm, but the impact sends him flying into a tree.

CRACK!

Pain explodes in his back.

Akin coughs, struggling to rise.

The beast stalks closer, eyes glowing.

SEER

"You must control your power."

Akin breathes hard.

How?

He barely understands it.

But the whispers in his head stir again.

???

"Let go."

Akin tightens his fists.

The beast charges.

Akin closes his eyes—and lets go.

EXT. OKE AIYE – MOMENTS LATER

Something awakens.

Akin's veins glow faintly.

His heartbeat slows.

His vision sharpens.

The beast swipes—but this time, Akin moves faster.

His body dodges effortlessly.

The beast snarls, confused.

Akin's hands tingle with energy.

He strikes forward—a single punch to the creature's chest.

BOOM!

The beast soars through the air, smashing into a tree.

Akin's eyes widen.

His power…

It is real.

The Seer finally speaks.

SEER

"Now, finish it."

Akin steps forward.

The beast growls, weakened.

Akin hesitates.

Killing it feels… wrong.

But the whispers return.

???

"Show mercy."

Akin breathes deeply—then lowers his fist.

SEER

(softly)

"You have passed."

Akin turns.

SEER

"You controlled it. You chose strength, but not cruelty."

Akin looks at his hands.

For the first time—

He understands.

This power…

It is his.

And he must learn to use it wisely.
