The Journey of Akasha

Chapter 73: The Central Continent

When Akasha and the two ladies appeared, they were in some sort of city/town. Looking around the city looked like something straight out of a fantasy. In the sky there were still 7 suns hanging like the first time Akasha arrived on Kalpa.

In the sky above the city there were also building hanging. Some were temples that were on islands that had beautiful waterfalls. There even seemed to be entire sects hanging in the air on the islands. On the ground the city consisted of many buildings too.

There were taverns, restaurants, and plenty of other stores like Alchemy and Blacksmith shops. People were coming and going all throughout the city. These people wore robes similar to the ones Akasha had already seen.

They only had different crests and colors. There were also some people wearing bulky armors while carrying weapons. They seemed to be the city guards or something.

Taking all this in Akasha smiled and asked the ladies.

"Do you two know what city this is?"

"This should be the main city in the Central Continent 'Kel'." Raven said while looking around.

Hearing this Akasha nodded and the trio began to walk.

"I've been a few times when I was younger. This is one of the busiest cities in the entire continent. Most major businesses are here whether it be famous Alchemist, Blacksmiths, or even Auction houses." Elara added in as they walked through the city.

"Hmm, that's interesting. I haven't tried any foods since I been here do you have any favorite restaurants?" Akasha asked.

Since he came to Kalpa he had never truly explored or tried anything here. During this month he wanted to experience as much as he could.

"Yes! Let's go to Jake's!" Both of the women exclaimed at the same time.

"Jake's? Is that a person or a restaurant?" He asked in confusion.

"Hehe, both! He's the best chef here in the Central Continent. He opened a restaurant years ago and named it after himself." Raven said while giggling.

After this the girls dragged him to Jake's.

When they made it to the restaurant Akasha saw that it was indeed a busy place. The outside of the restaurant looked to be made of simple wood, but it also looked durable. They walked inside and saw that it was much bigger.

The inside had multiple floors, and every floor seemed to be full except of the top floors.

When they entered a young lady approached them and said with a smile.

"Welcome to Jake's! Which floor would you like to be seated at?"

"Are there any differences?" Akasha asked

"Only privacy and expedited service. The higher the floor the better your experience will be, but it is also higher priced."

"Well, we will take the highest floor." Akasha said. The young lady was surprised to hear that, but she didn't refute.

She nodded and led them to their seats.

When they arrived the two girls sat beside each other while Akasha sat across from them.

The young lady smiled and spoke before leaving.

"I hope you find everything to your liking. You can use the token imbedded into the table to place your orders and they will be transported to you the moment it's done."

The trio nodded and then channeled some mana into the tokens.

When they did a hologram type screen showed and on it were a list of foods. The ladies made their choices fairly quickly then they noticed Akasha was still looking.

"Do you need any help?" Elara asked him

"Yea I do, I don't recognize any of this stuff, so I don't know what to order." He said while sighing.

Hearing this Elara smiled and spoke

"Why don't you have what we both ordered? Dragon Stew and Vampiric Tiger Meat." She suggested. Akasha nodded and ordered both dishes.

"What's up with the names? Are they made from Dragons and Vampires or something?" He asked

"Well, that's just to tell which race the food is made for. The meats are mostly from dungeon monsters or comes from the top factions. Before I didn't know where they got the high graded meat from. But now I assume they must have some connects in space that trades meat with them." Raven said

Akasha nodded and they continued to chat. They waited about 5 minutes before their dishes appeared on the table. Using the token as the link the chefs were able to simply teleport the dishes to them. This allowed them to have it as fresh as possible.

It also allowed the waiters to tend to the lower floors while the top floors had privacy.

When the food appeared, Akasha didn't think much. He grabbed his utensils and began eating. He tried both dishes before taking a moment to savor the taste. Raven and Elara waited to his reaction before they began.

After a few seconds he said

"This is surprisingly good. I honestly didn't expect much, but this is actually delicious. And to think all of this was made without seasonings." He then began eating the rest of the food.

The girls smiled hearing this then they both started eating too.

While they were eating Akasha took the time to ask them some questions.

"So, can you two tell me more about your families?"

Hearing this the girls exchanged looks and then smiled. Raven nodded at Elara before she began speaking.

"Well, as you probably know I am the Princess of the Vampires. My father is Vlad the King and My mother is Katherine the Queen. There isn't much else to know though. My situation was pretty good aside from me being sheltered I never suffered as a child."

"That's good then I would hate to beat up my father- in- law for mistreating my little vamp." Akasha said jokingly before he looked at Elara.

"I am the Princess of the Dragons. My father is the King, but we don't have much of a relationship. In dragon culture the only thing that matters is strength. I was always powerful and talented compared to my peers, so my situation wasn't bad either." Elara said simply, but her words made Akasha narrow his eyes.

"What about your mother?" He asked as he stopped eating his food.

"Well, I don't know. My mother disappeared when me and my brother were kids. We asked our father about it, but he never gave any clear answers about it. So maybe she's dead or maybe she's still alive somewhere." As she said this her tone had a hint of melancholy.

Even though she didn't have a strong relationship with her mother she would be lying if she said her disappearance didn't bug her.

Hearing this Akasha looked at her calmy and spoke

"Do you wish to meet her again? or what do you plan to do?"

"Well.... I don't know. I mean of course I would love to meet her again b-" She was saying before Akasha cut her off.

"No buts. If you want to meet her again then we will search the entire universe if need be. But I promise you will one day meet her again." He smiled at Elara before he went back to eating his food.

*BaDump*

"Yes, Elara we got your back. Together we will grow strong enough to find your mother." Raven said while giving Elara a small hug.

*BaDump*

Hearing the words of the two Elara heart pounded. She felt slightly overwhelmed by their words. She was beginning to see Raven as a real sister and even beginning to develop deeper feelings for Akasha.

All from simple words.

After this they finished their meals and exited the restaurant. When they got back outside they picked a random direction and walked.
