The Healers Awakening

A New Beginning

Tatsuya awoke to an unfamiliar sensation—he wasn’t breathing. There was no heartbeat in his chest. But he was… alive? He blinked, and found himself in a vast, endless space. The room was impossibly white, like the very essence of light surrounded him.

“Am I… dead?” Tatsuya whispered, not expecting an answer.

“You are,” came a calm, resonant voice from behind him.

Tatsuya turned and saw a figure—a man who radiated warmth and authority, dressed in simple robes, yet exuding an aura of infinite power.

“You did well in your life, Tatsuya. You saved many,” the figure said, smiling gently. “But your time in that world is over.”

“Who are you?” Tatsuya asked, still trying to process everything.

“I am what you might call ‘God,’” the being said, with a tone that suggested Tatsuya could call him anything he wanted, and it would still be accurate.

“Why am I here? Shouldn’t I have moved on?” Tatsuya asked, remembering the chaos of his last moments.

God chuckled softly. “You see, Tatsuya, your story doesn’t end with death. I have a proposition for you. You’ve been given a rare chance to start anew, in a different world—one that could use someone of your talents.”

“A… different world?” Tatsuya blinked in confusion. “Like… reincarnation?”

“Something like that,” God responded. “But this world is unlike the one you knew. It is a world where magic and strength determine survival. You will be reborn, and as a reward for your service in your previous life, I will grant you three abilities of your choosing. You’ll need them in this new world.”

Tatsuya’s mind raced. He could be reborn? Start again? A second life? He thought of his wife, the life he was leaving behind, but there was something deep within him that stirred at the idea. Could he really refuse such a chance?

“Three abilities,” Tatsuya echoed. “What kind of powers are we talking about?”

“Anything you desire. But choose wisely, for these powers will define your new life.”

Tatsuya paused for a moment. If he was going to start again, he wanted powers that would allow him to continue his mission—saving lives.

“The first power,” Tatsuya began, “I want the ability to heal. I want to be able to heal any injury, no matter how severe.”

God nodded. “A noble choice.”

“The second,” Tatsuya continued, “I want to be able to see what’s wrong with someone. A way to diagnose instantly.”

“Very well. I shall grant you the Eye of Mystics. It will allow you to see into the very essence of life, to know the true nature of any illness or injury.”

Tatsuya thought carefully about the third. He had to survive in this world, and if it was as dangerous as God suggested, he would need more than just the power to heal.

“For the third power, I want super strength—enough to protect myself and others.”

God smiled, his eyes twinkling. “Healing, insight, and strength. You will become both a healer and a warrior. An interesting combination.”

Tatsuya nodded. “I’m ready.”

“Then go, Tatsuya Watanabe,” God said, raising a hand. “Live again, and this time, forge a new path.”
