The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World

Chapter 170- Little Zeel’s Long-Kept Secret

Half an hour passed before Sol healed his body to the point it stopped aching all over. Most of his injuries have healed, leaving only superficial wounds he could bear.

Sol opened his eyes and slowly sat up.

"Awoo!"

Little Zeel suddenly appeared and leaped into his lap before he could fully sit up.

"Little Zeel, you're finally awake!"

Sol picked up Little Zeel and lifted him above his head.

"Awoo! Awoo!"

Little Zeel's paws flayed around while a worried look was seen in his eyes.

Sol frowned.

"You're worried about me? I'm the one who should be worried about you Little Zeel. Why didn't you tell me about your condition?"

Little Zeel stiffened when he heard that. He then turned and glared at Little Abdu who was off to the side.

Little Abdu paused cleaning his fur and met Little Zeel's glare with his own.

"Who are you glaring at you little liar?"

"Awoo! Awoo! Awoo!"

Little Zeel snarled showing his baby-like teeth.

Sol didn't fully understand what Little Zeel said just now, but he could see that he was angry at Little Abdu.

Little Zeel turned to Sol and his expression softened.

"Awoo…"

Sol sighed.

Little Zeel said he never wanted him to worry, but that was the whole point. He should have told him so he could worry and find a way to help.

Sol stood and held Little Zeel close as he said.

"Next time, tell me things like this okay?"

Little Zeel nodded slowly.

Sol smiled and placed Little Zeel on top of his head as he walked over to where the others were. His Innate Dharma was still released, casting a green light over the area.

Byeong-Ho was sitting cross-legged while healing with everyone sitting around him. Compared to Sol's injuries, his own were more severe.

Meanwhile, Sol was walking over to the others, Little Zeel glared at Little Abdu who was following them.

He seemed to dislike Little Abdu.

Little Abdu glanced up at him and said.

"Continue and I'll tell him the other secret you're keeping from him."

Little Zeel's eyes widened as his glared at Little Abdu was filled with even more hatred.

"What?"

Sol heard their conversation, and he stopped in his tracks to look up at Little Zeel.

"Little Zeel, are you hiding something else from me?"

Little Zeel seemed to panic as he shook his head vehemently.

"He's lying."

"Awoo!"

Little Zeel glared at Little Abdu.

Sol frowned.

"Little Abdu, what is Little Zeel hiding from me?"

Little Abdu sat on the ground and looked at Little Zeel who was now looking at him with a pleading expression.

An amused light appeared in Little Abdu's eyes before he slowly said.

"This little liar is faking it; he can actually speak."

"Bastard! Why don't you just go fucking kill yourself in a hole somewhere?!"

The young voice of a boy erupted from Little Zeel's mouth, but the innocence of this voice contrasted with the shocking words spoken. You wouldn't think such a cute-looking creature with such an innocent-sounding voice would be capable of cursing like that.

Little Abdu smirked when he heard Little Zeel outburst, while Sol, who was utterly dumbfounded by this, didn't know what to say.

"...Little Zeel?"

Little Zeel looked away from Little Abdu and then looked down at Sol with a downcast expression.

"I didn't speak to you before because I didn't think it would change anything since you can already understand me! But it's not like I wasn't going to tell you; this old thing is trying to make me look bad!"

"You're making yourself look bad. How can such a young thing curse so vulgarly?"

With a leap, Little Abdu got onto Sol's shoulder.

"What are you doing?"

Little Zeel asked as Little Abdu approached him. He nervously retreated to Sol's other shoulder and then watched as Little Abdu stared at him while lying down on top of Sol's head.

"That's my spot."

"And?"

Little Zeel showed an indignant expression, but he really couldn't do anything to this old thing.

Sol was silent as he listened to the two's interactions.

He picked up Little Zeel and held him in his arms as he said.

"You're on time out."

Little Zeel looked even more indignant, but he simply closed his eyes and went back to his nap to regulate his Aether Poison.

Sol sighed before he continued towards the others. Yoon-Jae asked if he was okay when he approached, and Sol nodded before he turned Byeong-Ho.

Heon-Tae, Ji-Hoon, and the other two youths were staring at him with either worry or anger on their face.

Sol went behind Byeong-Ho and placed his palm on his back. His seedling floated over to hover above Byeong-Ho's head, and all the healing was concentrated on him.

A bright green glow enveloped his figure before seeping into his body.

Quickly, Byeong-Ho's pale face slowly returned to normal, and it didn't take long for Sol's Innate Dharma to heal Byeong-Ho's internal injuries.

Sol removed his hand from Byeong-Ho's back and retrieved his exhausted Innate Dharma. Even for it, healing these serious injuries was a bit too much.

But there were some injuries he couldn't heal. Sol looked at Byeong-Ho's missing left hand and eye with a heavy heart.

"Thanks, Brother Sol."

Byeong-Ho said hoarsely as he opened his eye and looked up at Sol.

"Is he fully healed?"

Heon-Tae interjected, and Sol nodded.

"What about his head? Were you able to heal it?"

Sol felt that question was strange but nodded again, nonetheless.

"Good."

Heon-Tae said before he suddenly turned to look at Byeong-Ho with an ugly expression.

Slap!

His hand shot out and slapped Byeong-Ho over the head.

Slap!

Slap!

Slap!

"Third Brother stop, you're going too far."

Ji-Hoon and the youth who was fighting Byeong-Ho before Sol helped him and was referred to as Fifth Brother, stepped forward to prevent Heon-Tae from hitting Byeong-Ho any further.

Byeong-Ho had been allowing Heon-Tae to hit him without fighting back.

"No, let go of me! I need to slap some sense back into him. What he did was beyond reckless!"

Heon-Tae shrugged off the two and then went to slap Byeong-Ho again. However, before he could someone stepped in front of him.

"Fourth Brother, move out of the way! What if we weren't able to come in time to help you and Fifth Brother?"

The youth shook his head.

"Third Brother, the youngest is the one who is most affected by this. He hurt Fifth Brother, you and Brother Sol when he didn't mean to."

Strangely, the youth didn't say this using his mouth, but through his Divine Sense.

Little Abdu glanced at the youth curiously when he saw this. Everyone else did as well because he wasn't in the Spiritual Realm to have formed a Soul Core and developed Divine Sense.

Seeing everyone's gaze, the youth said shyly.

"I was able to form a Soul Core thanks to the Beast Immortal's Inheritance."

That explained things somewhat, but what was strange was the fact that he was using it to speak rather than speaking normally. Yoon-Jae pointed out this fact by asking.

"Why are you using it to talk?"

"He can't speak. He hasn't been able to since he was young."

The youth referred to as Fifth Brother step forward to say. He then turned to Sol and greeted him with a bow.

"Brother Sol, my name is Cheong-Su, and this is my little brother Cheong-San."

"He's your real brother?"

Byeong-Ho said in surprise from his position on the ground. Ji-Hoon and Heon-Tae looked at Cheong-Su with surprised expressions as well.

Cheong-Su smiled.

"We're half-brothers that share the same father."

That made sense, they didn't look alike.

Cheong-Su had high cheekbones and a relatively average appearance. He was short for his age, being around the same height as Sol despite looking at least a year older.

Cheong-San on the other hand was extremely tall for his age, about half a head taller than Ji-Hoon who was the oldest and tallest one here. He also had a face that would make one say he was handsome.

But aside from appearance what set these two brothers apart was their personalities.

Cheong-Su seemed outgoing and wasn't afraid to talk to people, but Cheong-San acted shy; almost timid.

Cheong-San followed his brother and bowed towards Sol. However, he suddenly extended his hand and blocked Heon-Tae who was making his way towards Byeong-Ho again.

Heon-Tae frowned.

"I'm not done hitting him! What I want are answers."

Heon-Tae pointed at Byeong-Ho's missing arm.

"Because of his reckless actions, he lost an arm. Do you know how difficult cultivating will be in the future?! It would be ten times, a hundred times, or even a thousand times more difficult for him to break into the Spiritual Realm unless he tries to open the acupoint in his torso! Am I the only one who wants answers?!"

Sol glanced at Byeong-Ho. He wanted answers too, but while the others wanted to know how Byeong-Ho got his injures, he instead wanted answers of a different nature.

'So even when he was telling me about the Forgotten Sect back then, he was a part of it? But why did he make them out to be evil? Or was he acting obliviously to protect his identity?'
