Chapter 169- Monsters The Both of Them
Sol glanced at Yoon-Jae being pinned down before he turned back to look at Byeong-Ho.
He flashed a smile and then said.
"This isn't how I imagined we'll have our first real fight, so this one definitely doesn't count brother Byeong-Ho."
Byeong-Ho didn't respond or react to Sol's words; he merely stared at him blankly.
Sol didn't mind and instead shifted his leg back before lifting Heon-Tae's blade in the air.
When Heon-Tae saw his stance, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets from shock.
"That's—That's… That's my Martial Skill!"
Golden aura suddenly wafted from the blade in Sol's hands sending ripples into surroundings.
'I forgot to stretch.'
Sol thought as two loud bangs echoed out.
The two bracelets on his hands fell and his lion-mane-like hair turned golden. He almost resembled a lion in human form.
Upon seeing this, Mar-Dule's eyes shone with a bright light, but he managed to suppress it right after.
'So, I was right, he does have a bloodline! But is it our Barbarian Bloodline like I suspect? This doesn't look like it.'
With two of his bracelets off, the power of Sol's blade multiplied severalfold. The golden aura around it also intensified and it seemed as if a second sun had appeared in the world.
Heon-Tae stared at this spectacle with his mouth agape.
Sol was unleashing the full potential of his Blade Sovereignty Martial Skill. He knew Sol had the ability to copy Martial Skills with just a glance from Ji-Hoon who had been keeping an eye on him in the Academy, but unleashing this level of power when it was his first time using it sent chills down his spine.
"Brat, this is a good learning opportunity, so don't take your eyes off that blade."
Little Abdu said this, and Heon-Tae nodded with his eyes clued to the Immortal blade in Sol's hand. Even if he ended up being blinded by the light it was releasing it would be worth it.
"Thirty-Two Plum Blossom Sword Play, Winter Blossom Strike."
A burst of pink plum blossom petals appeared around Byeong-Ho's. At the same time, a burst of golden Blade Intent from the blade erupted around Sol.
Heon-Tae trembled because even he was able to call on the Blade Intent left behind in the Immortal blade. It must be the Blade Sovereign Martial Skil! He had to learn it to this level before he could call upon it!
Currently, the colors pink and gold stained the world and split it into two halves.
"Am I really watching the battle of two Mortal Realm cultivators?"
Ji-Hoon asked his heart trembling, but before anyone could respond, Byeong-Ho's Sword Intent reached its peak, and he swung down his sword.
Pink petals immediately scattered in all directions as a large sword arc filled with the intent to sever the heavens uprooted the ground as it approached Sol.
Sol at the same time brought the Immortal blade down and golden rays exploded in all directions.
A blade arc with the will to hack anything in its path sprung forth to meet Byeong-Ho's sword arc.
BAAAAANG!!!!
At the point of impact, the blast caused the ground to rise. A shockwave suddenly slammed into everyone's chest, but luckily Little Abdu raised his paw and wiggled it to create a protective barrier made of black energy.
It was a type of Aether Energy, but not the kind that any of the boys here recognized.
The impact explosion lasted a few breaths of time before any form of normalcy returned to the surroundings.
As everyone was peering through the cloud of dust, they soon saw two figures walking towards them. Well, in actuality, one was doing the walking while carrying the other person.
Soon the figures were revealed to be Byeong-Ho carrying Sol.
"Damn it."
Yoon-Jae cursed before he rushed forward.
While taking Sol from Byeong-Ho, he glared back and forth at them both.
Byeong-Ho smiled bitterly before his legs suddenly gave out. He was caught by Ji-Hoon before he could fall to the ground.
"Fuck. Look at you! How are you even alive?!"
Yoon-Jae said as he looked at Sol's wound riddle body.
Sol barely had his eyes open, and a small smile was on his lips.
He wanted to say, 'see I could handle it,' but he really couldn't.
With two whooshes, his bracelets came zipping past everyone to clamp back onto his wrists.
Sol relaxed a bit as the bloodline energy that was raging inside his cells calmed down. By the looks of it, it seemed like it was ready for one more round. It was a pity that Sol's physical body couldn't keep up with it.
Sol closed his and his Innate Dharma appeared above him.
It shook its little sprout, and a green halo suddenly encapsulated the area.
Everyone who was injured felt their external and even internal wounds heal, and for those who weren't, they just felt a warm sensation wash over them.
"Even in this situation you're thinking about other people? Has anyone ever told you to look after yourself more and stop being so selfless?"
Upon hearing that, Sol recalled his father's words.
"It's different this time... I have the strength to help so I did."
Yoon-Jae heard Sol's mutter, but he realized it wasn't said for him. But he then said offhandedly.
"This is why I don't like having friends, much less a partner. Why go through all this stress?"
Suddenly, Yoon-Jae looked down at Sol to see he had opened his eyes and was staring up at him. He paused but then said.
"Of course, I consider you my friend Sol."
Yoon-Jae answered the question he knew Sol was thinking, but Sol was still staring up at him.
Yoon-Jae paused once again, then said with a sigh.
"Fine, I'll answer your questions after this is all over. But why bother? My past isn't worth knowing."
Sol only smiled in response before closing his eyes to focus on healing.
Seeing this, Yoon-Jae released another sigh before glancing over at Byeong-Ho and the others. He wondered who had won that clash. It looked like Byeong-Ho had, but the results seemed to be equal.
Yoon-Jae had to admit that he underestimated Sol. If he had to guess, his strike was equivalent to a Quasi-Spiritual Realm cultivator but more powerful than one that had opened all the acupoints in four of their limbs.
"Monsters the both of them."
Yoon-Jae couldn't help but mutter under his breath after realizing both Byeong-Ho and Sol achieved this power while one only started opening acupoints in his second limb and the other being a bit older almost finished his second limb.
Little Abdu had similar thoughts as well. After looking at Sol he then glanced at Byeong-Ho and thought to himself.
'I can't believe there's another two of them in the outside world. It's not that easy using one's enlightenment to fuel an attack.'
The only person who Little Abdu saw did something similar was Sol's Master when he created that formation.
'Is he the child of some godly being too? Or is he perhaps the reincarnation of the Jade Immortal himself?'
Little Abdu couldn't stop those absurd thoughts from floating into his mind.
