The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World

Chapter 139- What's an Innate Dharma Supposed to Be?

Seeing Sol's expression, Little Abdu shook his head and said.

"No need to feel sorry, you were right. Su Jin would never have wanted to relive this life. It was me being blinded by my guilt that led me to the conclusion he did."

To change the subject, Little Abdu asked about the newly formed rune.

Sol formed several hand seals with his left hand and then waved it in front of him.

The black rune on the back of his left hand glowed with a dark hue, and soon after six runes appeared in front of Sol lined up in a neat row. Each of these runes corresponded with the six elements.

Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Wood, and Metal.

These elemental runes glowed with their respective colors as Sol formed a few more hand seals, but this time with his right hand.

The blue rune on the back of his right hand glowed faintly as he finished and waved it over the six elemental runes.

Immediately, these six runes trembled before shifting to hover vertically above each other. Then starting at the bottom and top at the same time, they fused with each other to create a single Formation.

This Formation radiated intense ripples of the six elements.

Sol's heart shuddered.

When he first tried overlapping just two elemental runes they combusted, but now he was able to overlap all six runes!

"It looks like you've succeeded, congrats. If you don't slack off, you can reach further on the path of Runes and Formations than Su Moon and your Master."

Sol clasped his hands together before placing his palms over the Formation.

The two runes on the back of his hands glowed before the Formation separated back into six runes and then slowly dissipated.

It was still a delicate process where Sol had to actively concentrate on overlapping or linking the runes to create formations, but with time he could shorten the creation process to the point where he could use them during battle. But for now, he had to stick to single rune creation.

He already mastered inscribing and conjuring Tier 1 to Tier 3 runes but reached a bottleneck at Tier 4 runes.

His Master said the bottleneck was because of his cultivation. Only after entering the Spiritual Realm would, he gained the ability to use more Internal Aether Energy and then be able to create and inscribe Tier 4 runes.

"Are you going to leave this place now?"

Sol nodded.

"You must be excited to see the outside world Little Abdu."

Little Abdu leapt off the table and walked up to Sol as he responded.

"Why wouldn't I be? I only know so much from those people that came here previously, and even then, you're the first person to come here in several millennium."

Sol paused.

"Little Abdu, you're pretty old."

"Brat, are you mocking me?"

"Ha-ha, I would never."

Sol tried to pet Little Abdu but immediately had his hand swatted away.

"I'll collect the books and then we can leave. I can't wait to see your reaction to the outside world. Oh, but we have to wait a month to leave the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension."

"As a home to the Immortal Deities, this dimension was called the Upper Heavens in the mortals' worships, not the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension. Also, are you going to leave so many books behind? If need be and I can give you the stor-"

"Oh, right!"

Little Abdu wasn't able to finish his sentence as Sol suddenly leapt up from the ground.

Sol then turned and dashed to one of the bookshelves.

"What is it?"

Little Abdu asked after seeing Sol's odd reaction.

"Just watch closely."

Sol said as he reached up and touched one of the books on the bookshelf. This book suddenly vanished as soon as his fingertips touched it.

Little Abdu's eyes widened slightly when he saw this.

"Did you know the rune can act as a storage space?"

Sol asked as he raised his right hand and pointed at the blue rune.

Little Abdu shook his head.

Even though he had control over the Heavenly Canopy Formation, there were some functions that eluded him. For example, he wasn't able to see the entire palace the Formation covered as Sol could. Only by having the Legacy Rune that controls the entire Formation was someone able to do this and a few other things.

"How large is the space inside?"

"I don't' know…"

Sol looked down at the blue rune on the back of his hand.

"...how big can the Heavenly Canopy Formation become?"

Sol then looked back up at Little Abdu to see that he had a shocked look in his eyes.

Little Abdu soon muttered.

"I don't know, but the palace itself should be around one square kilometer in size."

Sol's heart started to pound wildly in his chest.

"I can take all these books with me then!"

Sol yelled excitedly at the top of his lungs before he started running around the library touching every book in sight.

Little Abdu watch as Sol cackled and left bookshelf after bookshelf barren of any books.

"Wouldn't that take too long?"

Sol, who was on the second floor of the library paused and looked over the edge to yell.

"You're right!"

He then turned and ran off. This time instead of storing one book at a time, he would just touch an entire bookshelf and store it.

Sol's excited crackles could be heard echoing out in the library some more as he raided the place.

Little Abdu chose to clean his fur as Sol ran around like he had been injected with chicken blood.

After a few minutes, Sol's figure blurred to a stop in front of Little Abdu, carrying intense winds with him.

"All done!"

"You forgot those."

Little Abdu said as he gestured at the books about Holy Crests Sol was reading on the ground.

"Oh!"

Sol walked over to the dozen or so books and stored them inside the blue rune.

He had already memorized the information inside of them, but it didn't hurt to still have the originals, and it wasn't like he was lacking any space!

Sol walked back over to Little Abdu and said as he looked at the blue rune.

"The only issue I have is that I need to touch an object with my right hand to bring it into the storage space."

Sol then untied the storage bag on his waist and threw it into his knew storage space. He then brushed his hands together as if he was done with everything.

"Not only did I gain a Legacy pertaining to runes and formation along with a bunch of other benefits, I also gained a friend. It was worth getting transported to this place."

Sol then bent down to pick up Little Abdu, but the latter swatted his hand away before leaping onto his shoulder and then went laid on top of his head.

Sol smiled before walking towards the wall between the two spiraling staircases that led to the second floor.

As he did, he suddenly thought of something, and he asked.

"Little Abdu, how did you get injured?"

"The beasts inside the dimension went out of control and started attacking the palaces after all the Immortals left. I fought off the ones that came here and were injured."

"Something like that actually happened? But why did the Deities leave?"

"No clue, but they never came back."

Sol had wanted to ask Abdu about the Immortal Deities since he had been around during that time, but it looks like he didn't know since he was always in this Dimension.

"Why are you asking about my injuries?"

Sol was near to the wall and with a hand seal, the dragon mural on it glowed with a dazzling blue light.

"My Innate Dharma has the ability to heal injuries, so I was thinking of helping you after we leave."

"My injuries aren't so easy to heal. But what's an Innate Dharma supposed? Is it some kind of artifact?"

Sol blinked.

It took him a while to register Little Abdu's question because it was so uncommon, but when he did, his eyes went wide while his face was filled with immense incredulity.
