The Greece Antagonist

Chapter 20: Great Britain Magic - Altria's Meal Time!_3

No one approached the rock with the Holy Sword embedded in it. Even those who believed in the prophecy seemed doubtful. The sword appeared as if it had been discarded without any change from the start.

The pursuit and abandonment by humans are so fickle.

But Altria paid no heed to this, moving against the flow of people, heading forward.

The breeze parted the lush green grass, revealing the ancient and simple-looking Stone of Destiny.

Beneath the stone platform was inscribed the prophecy of drawing the sword to become king, and a three-foot-long sword with flowing molten gold-like luster was embedded in the central groove. The sword's blade, forged with a secret technique using red gold, had veins like bloodlines, with silver gleams hidden like the stars. In the center of the sword's spine was engraved an ancient inscription "Caliburn."

——The Golden Sword of Victory.

——Representing the dominion of kingship, calling for victory on the battlefield, bringing the miracle of hope to this broken world.

"...No one wants to be a puppet of fate..."

She did not resent her foster brother's words.

Because she understood that it was another form of protection, hoping she would reject this shackle named "mission."

But from birth, she had been destined for today. To draw the King's Sword.

For this, she had practiced swordsmanship from a young age, learning statecraft, mastering all knowledge required to be king.

In reality,

To this day, she didn't know the true faces of her parents and lacked emotional resonance with these two blood relatives.

And to become the so-called Eternal King, to establish supreme achievements.

This type of thing, like the regret or wish of her deceased father, she could not infuse emotion into it either.

The only thing that drove her over these fifteen years was the simple, everyday life with her foster father Hector and foster brother Kai, and the day-to-day teachings and care from her teacher.

The motive that brought her here was insignificant yet inevitable—not the desire for dominion as a human, not the sense of duty as a leader, nor the intoxication derived from faith.

Just like when arriving at a crossroads, a turn must be made;

After childhood ends, one must move towards adulthood;

After studies end, one must pass the graduation assessment;

Everything was just a process she had to go through.

Altria quietly placed her hand on the sword hilt.

From afar came the sound of brave cavalrymen.

The knights' clamor was distant, and there was no one around the rock.

The hilt astonishingly fit her hand.

Something that had been difficult to handle until now, churning inside her body as if it was about to burst from within, was absorbed into the sword, and her body felt increasingly light.

Next, all she had to do was pull back her hand, and the sword would be drawn. She was so certain, just as she was about to inhale.

"Before you officially lift that thing, it's better to think carefully first."

When she came to her senses, the Great Sage, long sought after by many, suddenly stood behind her.

"What do you want me to think about, teacher?"

Altria turned to ask, her face as calm as ever.

A trace of disappointment appeared in Luo En's eyes, but he still spoke:

"The two questions I asked you before. To you, what are the Knightly Way and the King's Way?"

"——Responsibility and mission?"

Altria frowned in response, having thought for a long time.

Empty.

Is it still not possible?

Luo En sighed:

"Put it down, Altria."

"But..."

"You are not ready, it is not yet the time to draw that sword."

Altria stood before the rock without moving, feeling both unwilling and aggrieved.

Knowing that just a little more effort would allow her to pull out the sword.

Why is the teacher still unsatisfied?

"I'm tired of being here; are you interested in coming out for a walk with me?"

Altria's body slightly turned, but soon stopped again.

"If we're not staying at the manor, it seems like I'll be the only one cooking on the road..."

A gust of wind passed, the figure before the stone platform darted to Luo En's side at an astonishing speed.

Although she was trying hard to suppress an obvious swallowing motion, her face was full of anticipation:

"What's for lunch?"

"Lamb chops with some game and mushroom soup?"

"Can you make extra rice?"

"How much do you want?"

"Three, no, four buckets!"

"Sure, this meal will be filling."

The master and apprentice walked shoulder to shoulder towards the outskirts of town while planning today's menu, leaving the Chosen Sword standing in the breeze.
