Chapter 19: Teacher, do you also like to seduce girls?_2
"So, what about the dragon? Where exactly is the dragon that guards Britain?"
Altria showed a rare hint of curiosity on her face.
On the one hand, she was known as the "Red Dragon's Son," so she naturally took an interest in this creature, which represented her origin; on the other hand, she was eager to meet this legendary powerful and towering existence.
"The Albion Dragon?"
Luo En organized his words and said,
"This creature has long since fallen in the Northern Realm of Oakney. Now, even its bones are turning into stone, and soon it will completely merge with the layers of earth to become something like a mineral. However, the soul of the Albion Dragon has already reincarnated and currently serves the Fairy Queen. It's one of the three Elf Knights under the Fairy Queen's command, named 'Meiluxin,' who is likely residing with the Fairy Queen in Fairyland (Mist Forest)."
"What about the other two Elf Knights?"
"One is named Bagster, a dog demon with a rather large appetite, and the other is named Bawansi, a vampire demoness with quite a nasty temperament."
"— Oh, I see. As expected from a teacher, you surely know a lot!"
"Of course. I'm an expert in magic and mysteries. I have a mountain of things to tell you, so take your time learning from me in the future."
Altria nodded and couldn't help but ask a question that had been pressing on her mind:
"Teacher, how were you born? Have you ever seen your parents?"
"Want to hear a story?"
"Yes!"
"Sit down and let's talk."
Luo En bent down to sit on the grass, pointing to the empty space beside him.
Altria obediently sat next to her teacher, propped her chin up, ready to listen.
Luo En cleared his throat and began to tell his life story, half-truthfully:
"My parents were quite extraordinary; my mother (Semele) was a King's daughter and reputedly had the bloodline of deities. My father (Zeus) was even more special, either a devil or some vicious specter—cruel, ruthless, and horribly licentious, always sowing seeds or on his way to sow seeds. My mother was tempted by his honeyed words."
"Sounds a bit like the 'Dream Demon' from Celtic legends?"
"Hmm, something like that."
"So, teacher, you're also a 'Dream Demon'? Do you also like enticing girls?"
"... Do you want to keep listening?"
"Yes."
"Then shut up!"
Luo En glared at his student who wasn't too good with words, then continued when he saw she was quiet:
Father suddenly turned on my mother, leading to her death, though I fell into the sea and survived...
Apprenticing under the Great Witch on Aiaia, meeting Goddesses and Divine Monsters, together thwarting my father's conspiracy...
To repair something damaged from the war, I traveled abroad (Nordic) to gather materials, making more friends, undertaking more adventures, achieving more miracles...
The story was long but not dull.
His voice was deep and magnetic, like a bard singing an ancient and majestic epic by a campfire.
Altria was deeply entranced, listening so intently that her consciousness seemed to dive into that beautiful and grand world along with the unfolding story, witnessing scenes of the past.
The remnant night was fading, the morning star set in the west.
Luo En looked down at the figure below:
His beloved pupil lay on his lap, peacefully asleep.
Her steady breaths and the gentle smile on her face indicated she was having a beautiful and sweet dream.
She finally quieted down...
Luo En let out a sigh of relief.
But recalling Altria's previous words, he couldn't help feeling a bit annoyed:
"What do you mean I'm also a 'Dream Demon'? Do I like enticing girls too?"
"Old Deng is Old Deng, and I'm me! How could they be the same!"
The young girl did not respond, continuing to sleep in a relaxed posture.
Looking at her completely unguarded face, Luo En's eyes glinted with a strong sense of mischief.
~~
Morning.
Yawning, Altria got up from the grass, lazily stretching her limbs. Her bones made a light noise, and her expression was incredibly relaxed.
Who would've thought that sleeping could be such a comforting thing.
The girl mumbled, looking around somewhat confused.
Teacher isn't here? Did he go home early?
Oh well, doesn't matter to me. It's getting late; I should be heading back to work.
Altria brushed off the dirt and grass from her body and walked quickly towards the manor.
Her foster father, Hector's residence was on the outskirts, away from people's living quarters.
Though Sir enjoys solitude, he does not dislike humans. The reason he chose such a place was to protect Altria's identity as the Red Dragon's Son and ensure her safety.
However, being away from the living circle does not mean there is truly no one around.
On her way back, although Altria didn't encounter any townsfolk, she did meet knights just finishing their night patrol.
And upon meeting, the knights' eyes grew strange, their facial muscles twitching greatly, suppressing the urge to laugh.
The Knight Leader, who was riding a warhorse and donned in high-quality plate armor, laughed out loud without restraint:
"Oh oh, whose pet cat has run out? Why is it green?"
Altria froze, rather puzzled.
Following the Knight Leader's pointing gesture to a nearby puddle, she walked over to see her reflection in the water and understood the reason.
On each side of her cheeks were drawn three whisker-like marks of a feline, while the center of her forehead bore a pattern of the character 'King.'
The pigment was a bright green, exuding the scent of grass, possibly squeezed from some plant's juices.
