The Greece Antagonist

Chapter 19: Teacher, do you also like to seduce girls?

Altria is very busy.

This was the conclusion Luo En arrived at after observing the estate for several months.

Every day, before dawn, she would get up and go to the stables, preparing feed for dozens of warhorses and checking their health;

Come the morning, it's time for horseback riding classes and cavalry combat theory handled by Old Hector;

In the afternoon, it was swordsmanship training and magic dueling under Luo En, along with some lessons in court etiquette;

By evening, she would open the stables, ride a warhorse, and patrol the nearby villages with the knights of the territory...

The night in this era was extremely dangerous.

Apart from ferocious beasts, there were even more terrifying Magic Beasts and Divine Monsters, as well as restless Elves.

If they crossed the warning line and broke into a village, it often resulted in a bloody massacre.

Therefore, knights frequently patrolled through the night to ensure the Safety of the territory's inhabitants.

Of course, such intense work couldn't be handled by one group alone. So, a night's patrols were generally divided into two to three shifts.

Altria's shift was usually the first half of the night, while her brother-by-oath, Old Hector's own son—Kai, would handle the latter half.

After the shift change, Altria would be driven home to sleep.

But by that time, there were only four to five hours left until dawn.

This was her rare moment of rest.

Yet even so, Altria still felt too idle, even requesting Luo En to let her attend classes in the Dream Realm to fill its void while learning more knowledge.

Luo En, of course, refused without hesitation.

Though he wanted Altria to quickly accumulate Understanding and awaken emotions, this was not the way to go about it.

However, Luo En's refusal did not quell this student's studious spirit. Every night, she would steal a portion of her meager sleep time to secretly slip outside the manor to practice swordsmanship alone.

After discovering this several times, Luo En finally couldn't take it anymore and followed her to stop this self-destructive behavior:

"Haven't I told you? Even if you're as strong as iron, you should balance work and rest, eat when it's time to eat, sleep when it's time to sleep."

Altria put down the wooden sword in her hand and looked at her teacher who was walking across the grassy field toward her:

"Teacher, I understand your goodwill. But I can't sleep; I always need to find something to do to feel at ease."

Luo En thought for a moment and quickly figured out where the problem lay.

An empty shell without a soul is like a machine on standby, only operating normally when given instructions.

Altria was the same; only when commanded and kept busy could she feel a hint of fulfillment.

Luo En thought again and said:

"I see, since you can't sleep, let's sit down and talk about happy things, shall we?"

"Happy things?"

Altria furrowed her brow, a bit puzzled, as if she had difficulty understanding emotions like "happiness" and "joy."

Luo En sighed, having no choice but to change tactics:

"It's okay to ask questions too. What does chivalry mean to you, Altria?"

"I was wondering what you were asking. Observing morality, protecting people at the risk of oneself, ensuring the survival of one's master, showing no fear on the battlefield, not acting for personal desires but swinging the sword to protect the country and beliefs—Sir has taught me this."

Altria breathed a sigh of relief and fluently gave her answer.

"That's a deep answer. Hector is indeed an exceptionally good teacher,"

Luo En commented before shifting the conversation.

"But that's someone else's answer. I'm asking for your opinion."

My opinion?

Altria blinked, somewhat at a loss.

Even after thinking hard, her mind still remained blank.

This was a question she had never pondered.

Luo En rubbed his brow and instructed:

"Chivalry is a very broad concept, varying from person to person and with different emphases. For example, some people believe etiquette and humility are primary. Some think punishing evil tops everything, and some will use any means to protect their territory and inhabitants... So, if you plan not to let Hector down and become a qualified Knight, you need to consider what path you will take."

Altria nodded with a hint of Understanding, but her expression didn't change much.

Luo En asked again: "Then, what do you think a King is?"

Altria thought seriously for a moment before replying: "…Someone who, to protect the people, ends up killing the most people?"

This time there was noticeable advancement as it included her own Thoughts.

But to Luo En, the response still seemed rather mechanical.

What kind of good person would give such an abstract definition?

Indeed, enlightening a stone to become emotionally rich and complex was quite challenging.

Finding no other way, he had to switch methods and continue inspiring:

"Never mind, you can ask questions instead, anything you want to ask me."

"I heard that Elves left the surface for Fairyland. Only Giants and Magic Beasts, who detest and loathe humans, stayed on the island."

"Not entirely true, while most Elves have entered various Immortal Realms, it doesn't mean they've secluded themselves from the world. They can still come and go through special passages. It's just that due to the Fairy Queen's command, they dare not easily interfere with human life, so they're less seen. The Giants' hatred for humans is biased. They can't break free from physical shackles, unlike Elves who can transform into Spiritual Bodies, leading to inevitable conflicts with humans. But as long as you don't provoke them actively, they can remain peaceful. As for Magic Beasts and Divine Monsters, it depends on whether they possess intelligence, whether there are conflicts of interest, and whether communication is possible. Whether they're hostile requires specific analysis of specific situations."
