Chapter 8: Snow Field
Luckily, the rock spaceship had emergency parachutes and unlike the last crash Mushpuff was aware of them because of Bird’s teaching and ran into the control room to press the button. The ship was merely 100 meters from the surface of some random planet when the parachutes activated and the ship slowly floated down to the ground.
The descent was very slow and eventually the spaceship touched the ground in the most graceful and light way possible. As soon as this happened, it exploded and flipped upside down extremely violently.
“OH MY GOD!” yelled Mushpuff, who was on the ceiling with everyone else. “I forgot about the button that prevents the spaceship from flailing when it touches the ground!”
Just then Bird woke up due to being forcefully slammed against every single wall when the spaceship crashed.
“My bad,” said the penguin. “Blood is not my thing. Where are we now?”
“Why don’t we find out?” Mushpuff asked, opening the door. “Let’s just hope there’s a hospital.”
The sight that the eight eyes inside the spaceship saw was very blinding due to a factor known as Sun on Snow. They were crashed on a massive flat field of snow. It was snowing lightly, and in the distance were large mountains. Luckily, on those mountains was also a town of some sort. Unluckily, those mountains were like 15 kilometers away or something.
The gang decided to walk to the town in hopes of finding a hospital and ketchup. Luckily, nobody had to carry Plagiarize because his space horse was still there and it could carry his unconscious body on its back.
“Gee, it sure is unusual how flat this snow is,” said Mushpuff. “I wonder what the ground underneath it looks like!” He brushed away some of the snow and screamed because it was ice underneath. And it was cracking. He looked backwards just in time to see the top of the spaceship dip under the water after having broken the ice because it (the spaceship) was fat and heavy. Unfortunately, Plagiarize’s space horse was also fat and heavy, and at that moment there was a loud cracking noise.
“RUN!!!!” yelled Mushpuff.
The gang began to run as the ice behind them cracked open. Luckily for the horse, it was fast enough to beat the cracking of the ice. The rest of the gang was in big trouble. Thus began the very intense chase scene.
After about 10 minutes of nonstop running, the space horse had made it all the way to the shore of the lake. Also it can fly. I kinda forgot about that. So it just flew there really. The rest of the gang was getting very tired and they weren’t even 1 kilometer into the run. Also the ice behind them was still breaking apart and it was catching up.
Luckily, space horses have somewhat decent intelligence and it came up with an epic plan: 1: fly to the gang. 2: get them all on the back of horse. 3: fly to the shore. 4: yay.
The space horse started flying back towards the gang and reached them after about 10 seconds. Mushpuff jumped on with ease. Snorter came next. But there was not enough room for Bird on the horse’s back! Even worse, the broken ice caught up to them and the space horse had to fly into the air to avoid falling in the freezing water. BUT BIRD FELL IN!!!!
