The Great Adventure

Chapter 36: The Mouse Maker

Meanmeanwhilewhile, the other half of the gang (the half consisting of Bird, Plagiarize, Snorter, and Klumpkrump) had been taken down the twisting pathways of the interior of Kearth and eventually placed into a prison zone.

“M-M™ is currently under maintenance,” explained one of the robots.

“What is M-M?” asked Klumpkrump.

Klumpkrump, however, did not get an answer, as the robot had already walked away.

“Well what do we do now, y’all?” asked Plagiarize.

“Wait here and see what happens,” said Snorter.

“Ugh, how long will that take?” asked Plagiarize.

“We’ll only know once the waiting is over,” explained Snorter.

Meanwhile again again, Hoofa, Qaeron, and Mushpuff had gone down the hallway. Eventually they found a door labeled “The Mouse Maker”.

“What the heck is a mouse maker?” asked Mushpuff.

“We’re about to find out, yo,” said Hoofa, opening the door. At the center of this room was a large contraption with many pipes and wires coming out of it and going in all directions and out of the room. The machine had a normal-sized door on it and a mouse-sized door on the other end. It had many cogs and stuff and looked very sophisticated. The machine appeared to be turned off at the moment, though.

“So that’s what a mouse maker is, huh?” said Mushpuff.

As the three of them walked into the Mouse Maker Room, mice all over the floor scattered and ran out of various doors.

“What’s with all the mice in this place??” asked Hoofa.

“Maybe the pirates from Kearth are taking people as prisoners and turning them into mice!!” said Mushpuff with shock. “We need to save Bird and Plagiarize and Snorter and Klumpkrump!!!!”

“Yo, if your theory is correct, then all we have to do is wait here!” realized Hoofa. “They will be taken right to the mouse maker!”

“Mmmm, Qaeron can attack robotz, yez?” suggested Qaeron. “Hide and then attack!”

“Excellent thinking,” said Mushpuff. “Let’s hide behind these conveniently placed boxes.”

Mushpuff, Hoofa, and Qaeron hid behind those conveniently placed boxes and waited for the other half of the gang to show up. Eventually, two of the robots from before walked into the room and pulled a lever. All of a sudden, a beam of yellow light which looked quite a lot like a beam from an Energy Cube (because it was a beam from an Energy Cube) came through a hole in the ceiling and hit the Mouse Maker. The machine powered to life.

“Guys, are you seeing what I’m seeing?” asked Mushpuff.

“Ya mean that massive and very obvious beam of light?” asked Hoofa.

“No! Look at the heads of the robots!”

Hoofa looked at the heads of the robots and after a few moments saw what Mushpuff saw. The heads were hollow, and inside of them were tiny control rooms. Inside of the control rooms were MICE!!

“THE ROBOTS ARE MOUSE POWERED!!” screamed Hoofa.

This loud exclamation from Hoofa made both the robots look in the direction of Mushpuff and Hoofa and Qaeron. Luckily, the Mouse Maker was very loud and the mouse-mechs quickly dismissed the Screaming of Hoofa. It must have been the wind.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” whispered Mushpuff.

“Yez!” said Qaeron. “The cat alzo craves crab legs!”

“Uh… no,” said Mushpuff. “I’m thinking that the pirates of Kearth are these mice! And they find prisoners and turn them into mice and make them into pirates as well!”

“OH MY GOD!!!!” yelled Hoofa. Luckily the mouse-mechs didn’t hear her because of the fact that they had already exited the room.
